When I let the screen time off and lock. It will not just accept my fingerprint as unlock method but will also ask for others like pattern. But the behavior is not always like this. Usually it happens on some applications only like home screen. (nova launcher)
But if I press power button to lock, it will accept my fingerprint alone.
Has this something to do with nova launcher? Or greenify (unrooted)?

Never mind, found the culprit, it's greenify. I just have to turn on the alternative way of locking on greenify settings.

If you use a third party launcher or a app to lock your phone it will ask for the pin.
Nova launcher and a few other apps get around this by technically not locking the phone but putting a black screen then reducing screen time out to the minimum and allowing the phone to turn the screen off by itself.

Why would you use these sh*tty apps? If you're on CM (or soon MCR) you can use the trackball wake/unlock feature

Because I have long fingers and pressing the trackball to wake is uncomfortable for me.
It lets all physical buttons unlock the screen (Volume Up/Down, Trackball) and makes replacement Lock Screens like Flyscreen work more often.
This would be perfect if pressing volume up/down or camera didn't turn on the screen on the Droid.

And if you're not? Some folks want to stay on the stock rom. I'm not one of them but this app has its place. Your condescension is unwarranted.
thanks ive been looking for a reliable app like this. i was using that screenmode widget crap and it just wasnt cutting it. it would only work half the time. so far so good on desire rom. since no one wants to port over the unlock mod to the desire ROM, this is the next best thing.
Need some help over here
How to run No Lock via adb?
I messed up my phone's lockscreen and can't get my phone running (stuck at android bootscreen)
I suspect this lockscreen is the culprit and wanted to disable it
So I can run my Launcher
But how?
Can I remotely control No Lock?
Thanks
Can anyone tell me if this has been added to any of the current builds? I'm dying for a daily use ROM and it's a must for me.

I don't believe there is, although I know that there is a configuration to disable the lock screen so that pressing the power button immediately turns the screen onto what you were doing last.

my power button is borked, so i need to use a different button for my power button too, volume rocker wake is what i prefer too. there are a few lockscreen apps that work, but i hate their lockscreens. luckily, if you go to the phones main settings, security, and disable the screen lock. youll be able to wake your phone with the volume keys. the only thing is, you wont have a lockscreen to go through.

How many times a day do you click home only to be followed by lock button immediately after?
Think of it, you are done with using an app, you click home and then lock.
You are done texting, click home and lock.
Is there an app (button) which can combine these two actions? It can be invoked using swipepad, wave launcher, circle launcher, smart sidebar etc. Otherwise, it can just be a widget on home screen. Or it may be set to work upon clicking home button twice.
(In my current swipepad setup, I go home and lock from swipepad itself. I could use this one app if someone finds/create it)

I actually never lock my S2. Pressing home and sliding the phone in a cover works fine. Screen locks automatically in 30 seconds.

Sounds pretty cool, I can relate to click home then locking.

I wonder why no developer thought of it. Anyone listening?
Use your Fingerprint to launch apps quickly. You can set each of your fingers to open different apps
Want to open an App real quick? Tired of using gestures? Want a faster way to open hidden App? The FingerPrint Launcher is the right one for you.
The FingerPrint Launcher allows you to open an app real quick with a touch of a button, anywhere and anytime. You just have to just select which finger launches which app*, then you hold down the menu button and let the app scan your finger and your done. The app is immediately launched.
You can replace your traditional app lock software which consumes a lot of battery with the help of this App. Most Launcher comes with a hide an app option. So just hide the app and set FingerPrint Launcher as the easiest way to open your hidden app** .Instead of using gestures to open an app which any one can do, the fingerprint remains your alone.
The app uses long home menu button to start scanning the fingerprint.
Should work with All Samsung Mobile with fingerprint sensor support having android OS 4.4.2+

*This version can only use two fingerprint
**Depending on the environment setup of your device, there may be other alternatives to open your hidden app.
