Spotify not working since S8+ - Samsung Gear S3

All anyone having any issues or better still can confirm they still have Spotify working on their S3, it was fine with my S3 and S7 Edge, but noticed the other day when i click the app or widget the screen goes blank an if i use the widget says phone BT disconnected (its connected as my S3 is).

I have an S8+ and have the exact same problem.
Used to work fine with my S6 Edge
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

I think it's because of the latest update of the gear app.
It used to work on my galaxy s6 edge+ but after the last update it keeps saying that Bluetooth isn't connected

I uninstalled just the gear app and then reinstalled fresh problem solved.
Finding this on a steady stream of apps assume the update over rights and leave junk behind causing issues ...

Galaxy Note 10.1 Paired With Galaxy S3

I am loving my Note 10.1 so far. I use an Att S3 daily and was wondering if there is any way for the two to hook up maybe to send texts from my S3 using the Note.
I paired them using bluetooth and so far as I can see, it does not do a whole lot. I have a voice and data SIM in my S3 and a Data SIM in the Note 10.1. I have been switching SIM's back and forth, but there has got to be a way to get them to work togther?
I kind of remember hearing about a companion app from Samsung. I have yet to find anything though. Any ideas?

I've heard an app called "Tablet Talk" works very well for syncing and sending texts over bluetooth or wifi.
I don't know exactly what it does but have you proved the Allshare Cast app?

Chrome doesn't work on S7

Hi,
I don't have access to internet with chrome, installed factory.
With an another app no problems.

Yea, same here. I have the Tmobile S7 Edge.
It pulls up any web page for like 4 seconds, then shows the Aw, Snap error page and it doesnt matter how many times you press RELOAD the page just wont work. It even does it when accessing: google.com
I realize this won't help solve your problem, but at least I can give more info: Chrome works fine on my S7 on AT&T (carrier device) both on wifi and network data.

Samsung rolls out maintenance update for the Galaxy S7 edge in the UK today, which brings “shape correction for skewed photos” and stability improvements including better palm touch rejection.
What network you on?
I am on EE, I have got this update notification, I manually downloaded the update and flashed via flash fire (to avoid wiping the device)
But I still keep getting the update notification.
Making me think the update I Downloaded was not the last version.

Do you have a different number to this.

Got mine through Carphone Warehouse, bought outright as i'd previously been with EE and got fed up with their lies about upgrading my phone... so after a week of dealing with them, i went 'sod it' and cancelled my EE contract, went out to Carphone Warehouse and bought the phone there.
Currently on a BT contract, 20gb data, unlimited text, unlimited calls, £20 a month for 24 months... perfect for me
Rooted and using TEKXnesis HYBRID Rom, and absolutely loving it
I already got this update Ratley in the week lady week via manual flashfire[emoji14]

So I updated the ROM to the latest version.
Still have the identify unsaved numbers!!!! Yay!!
I was able to test the touch responsive on the new update.
The way I tested, was hold the phone in your left hand normally.
And try and tap a icon in the top right corner.
The palm of my hand would touch the bottom left icon activating it.
Since the update, this touch appears to be ignored now. So a good update with a little less irritation.

Yes I do. I downloaded it from SamMobile. The Samsung Pay app starts up with a little video introduction but it doesn't let you register any cards so it's not active server side yet. It's clear that it will be any day now though.

oh alright.
I got Samsung Pay semi-working on my G930F without flashing any rom. I couldn't access with fingerprint but with a PIN. Same as you, I can't add any cards, it says "failed to connect to server" right after I press the "next" button (the arrow). So I guess it's not even sending a ping to the server.
As a side note: the app in google play still appears not compatible and it doens't detect I have it installed. It's like if I have a whole different version.
UPDATE:
I "tapped" into SP's communication when sending the info of the card that I want to add and this is what it shows in both Samsung Pay and it's framework

It's a Samsung issue. I have the same problem on my S7E but Paypal works well with the fingerprint feature on my LG G5.
This is sillly. Samsung should release several firmwares for G930F and other variants according to carriers. For example a firmware with wifi calling and volte for tmobile US and Samsung Pay.
I think no matter if we have the app running or not. Their servers must be checking a combination of PDA and CSC and maybe more stuff and once the server realizes our phone doesn't match the criteria, it prevents the card registration. I don't know....
Android has always been about mods. We need leas root if they provide a wide enough customization and freedom for their (samsung) devices

So did I.
About Samsung Pay, I can't believe it's STILL not out over here. I bought the S6 when it came out last year all excited about being able to use Samsung Pay. One year later(and one phone model later!) still nothing!
Any of you guys got WiFi calling up and running?

Hi how do I check if knox is tripped
Hi.
How have you got this to work? I am in Vodafone and received the software update 2 days ago yet I still do not have the WiFi calling option. I am looking in settings, under applications and then phone. Should appear underneath 'Vibrate'.
Mine updated to PD1. Is there anything you did to enable it?
Thanks

Disable auto answer on watch?

Does anyone know how to disable the auto answering of the watch. I don't want to have to switch every call to my phone from the Bluetooth menu when I receive a call. I can't find a toggle in settings on the gear app or on the watch itself.
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
I don't have it yet, but it might be in the bluetooth settings on your phone
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
What do you mean?
if you answer a call with the phone, it will use the phone for speaking with. if you answer with the watch, it will use the watch to speak with.
if you don't want to talk on the watch, don't answer with it.

Nope that isn't how it works. I answer on the phone and the call audio is on the watch. That's the problem I'm trying to solve. Then I have to manually switch it to handset.

I have call audio enabled in bluetooth settings.
And yes, that is how it works. I just tested it. I answer with my phone, I can speak on the phone. Audio doesn't go via the watch if you don't answer with the watch.

Did you ever consider that it might work differently on different phones? That isn't how it worked by default on my pixel and T-Mobile s3.

It shouldn't be any different.
It's a Pixel. Very basic device. Bluetooth works like it's 1999.
I have a different weird problem. I just got the S3 (T-Mo) came from the S2 (T-Mo). I have used the Note5, Note7 and S7 Edge all T-Mo with the S2. I got rid of my personal phone (T-Mo) and started using my work phone (S7 Edge Verizon) when I still had the Gear S2. My calls would sporadically auto answer or not be received at all; going straight to Voicemail. This phenomena never occurred when I had the T-Mo phones, so I am wondering if it has something to do with how the Verizon phones interact with T-Mo phones. This is now happening with my (T-Mo) Gear S3 connected to my Verizon S7 Edge. Is anyone having the same problem? Or anyone NOT having this problem but using a Verizon Galaxy phone with a T-Mo Gear S watch? I'm curious if I just need to tweak a setting I am not familiar with on the Verizon S7 Edge (some menus are different than the T-Mo phone) and the way they forward calls is different, as well and I don't completely understand how it works compared to the T-Mo phones.
I am having the exact same problem and my gear is identical to yours including TMO. I will try disabling the phone audio in BT but this should not be happening at all.
I have to disable this daily, horrible. Every time I leave my car it automatically switches bt phone audio back to the watch. What a bummer!
Same problem here. Nexus 5X and Gear S3. Even if I dial out from the phone, the call gets redirected to my watch. Same if I receive a call. Even if I answer on phone, audio gets sent to the watch.
Any solution?
I'm having the same issue. It does not matter if I answer on phone or watch, the audio is always on the watch. How do I make it smart to tell the difference? I'm using a Pixel. Thanks
Might take a look at this:

I had the same problem. I disabled the phone audio profile and it worked. However the second time this happened and I disabled the phone audio profile it turned the blue tooth off and I would not get messages or call notifications on my watch. I turned on the phone audio profile and now I get the phone notifications but also get the answering on my watch (even though I answered on the phone). I have tried disconnecting the watch, rebooting the phone but nothing.
Solved with MacroDroid:
Trigger: Call active (any contact)
Action: Kill application Galaxy Wearable
Constraints: Trigger fired Call active
AND In call
App Alive BG Galaxy Wearable

UK WIFI Calling

Does anyone have this active and working.
Morons at Vodafone insist you only get this if you buy direct (I did and a Red plan) and still nothing, works fine on my old S7 but not the old s6 after Nougat.
The phone setting does not exist and Vodafone are as clueless as always.
