Thanks so much for this. But, just to make things clear for me and other users. Are you our official device maintainer? And have you seen the other thread by Erik?. It's worth to mention that he had and still is contributing a lot for this device by building RR and fixing some bugs. So i think that he should be given some credit right?. Anyway, Have you guys communicate with each other?

Hi, I am Ml Mix official RR maintainer. I have Mi5s Plus, I've compiled it from official LineageOS sources. We can solve the problems together if you set up problems. I may continue to compile the RR or other ROMs by communicating with the other developer. It's all your own choice. Thank you for your support.

Hey Buddy,
i'm the creator of tbe original Mi Mix devicetree and maintained the unofficial Lineage and RR build since i've started making the devicetree. Well, lineage team started to rework my confused tree to match their guidelines. What is working or if it is working in general i have not tried. If RR team and you want, we could work together, or i would maintain officially, too.
Users of my unofficial build, would you please check how good lineage devicetree works already? @Cenkay, let me know how to continue work Greetz

Guys, I really hope that you sort things out together. We all welcome more developers to work on the mix!
Sent from my MIX using Tapatalk
Credit should be given where its due and @pappschlumpf also deserves credit as he was the first to start LineageOS based development for the Mix even before Kernel sources were officially released. Thanks to his valuable time and hard work, we have reached an almost stable level build for his roms with very minor bugs.
Hope you can work along with @pappschlumpf and we look forward to some amazing results.
Cheers!
@engloa your support would be appreciated here.
To my knowledge, @pappschlumpf is the original developer brought up a working lithium device tree as well as working builds for lineage & RR.
His work has been merged with the official Lineage tree, on which other developers are also basing their work on. @Cenkay named himself the official RR Mix maintainer, is reusing the original work from @pappschlumpf (later merged with Lineage) & is not recognizing/crediting.
anyone else facing sound issues with this rom?
Same here, everything is ok except sound.
No sound via speaker but ok with headphones.
Envoyé de mon MI Mix en utilisant Tapatalk
Anyone have tested this rom? I find very good the last RR of Papps, is this better or worst?
For me too.
No Sound from speaker.
Why another, if there is already a better one, and some things still do not work.
Gesendet von meinem MIX mit Tapatalk
Maybe a moderator should step in and sort it out. I'm happy that we have more developers for the Mi Mix and I hope we will have a more diversify of roms in future. Cheers!
There is already a very good fully functioning RR.
Why then another RR version?
Gesendet von meinem MIX mit Tapatalk
Since pappschlumpf has offered to maintain the official release, and has all the experience from creating the device tree and maintaining the unofficial RR and Lineage builds, I think he should be the maintainer of the official release

How to check this?
You mean in this official build?
Friends, these debates are too long. If I continue, I will compile the roma on a daily basis through the official lineage os resources. OTA support will also be available in every future version available. If you want to try Offical RR and Unoffical RR and continue which one? If you want to, I can transfer to the maintainer @pappschlumpf.

Add Papps in official RR develop, can only help all developer to make a better project, are many months that Papps are spending time to create a perfect ROM, so why not create a better TEAM with also Papps? <3

Do i need a blob from shield k1 ?
Isn t working with Original shield tablet TWRP 3.0.0.1
Hi there will be version for shild K1 ?
Ovearheating
Can you remove overheating autoshutdown ?
Any status on the controller/nvidia apps? kind of important to fact to state. That's the only reason why I'm holding out.
Kodi touchscreen works? NFS most wanted touch screen works? looks to me all roms that I've tried can't run these two apps properly.
All of the benefits of an alternative rom means nothing to people actually use the tablet for what it's meant to be used for, gaming.
The RR forum doesn't have info for Shield Tablets. And the Captcha is nearly impossible to figure out.
The dev is Trafalgar Square right? I keep putting that in but I can't get into the forums. It's quite dated.

Well since my tablet needs a clean flash I'll try this rom. RR is my favourite ROM let's see how it goes on my k1
I know you probably copy and pasted from other device RR releases but it says:
- Flash ROM using latest TWRP 2.8.7.x Recovery
MM is only supported by 3.0.0.0+ no?
just flashed this rom , love the loads of customizations so far and just noticed a small bug , whenever you try to adjust/change colour for some stuff in settings for example carrier name or quick settings colour the Settings app Force Closes

I saw the same while having TWRP 2.8.7.1, and though I knew I would likely need to update to the nVidia 4.0 base first, I tried it anyway... Yeah, didn't work. Updated TWRP to ...7.3, didn't work. Updated to 3.0.0.1, didn't work. Finally broke down and took the plunge by following the MM update guide here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/shi...ficial-update-original-shield-t3281541/page12
(They provide you with all the download links you'll need, start to finish.)
Update went smoothly enough, with the exception of TWRP not loading properly the first time, and having to re-flash it again once everything else completed.
Tried the base for awhile in the evening, made a backup (just in case), and flashed RR before bedding down. I've had a little time to mess around here, and I gotta say, I'm diggin' this way more than the stock image. Even after the "settling period", still didn't run as smoothly for me as RR has out of the gate. More options than I've had a chance to get into, but from what I've seen so far, I'm impressed. Especially when weighed against our current alternatives.
Thought about trying out the other MM offerings, but I think I'll stick with RR for awhile. I'm still running it with the SD warning, as I cannot decide which way to go with it... Not really a fan of the way MM does external storage, but I guess I'll have to get used to it... Each has it's merits (from what I've read), but I still can't make up my mind on which way to go with a 128 gig card...
Remember though, if you jump into this, back up your SD data prior. Depending on what you choose regarding storage setup, MM will want to re-format your card. It will then be inaccessible to other systems. Here's another big catch to remember, if you decide you don't like MM and wish to revert to Android 5.1 (or early), you'll have to find and flash an older blob first... Should be able to find one floating around the CM threads.
If you do go through with it, play around a bit with the stock before moving to RR. Then you'll have a better appreciation for what we've got here.
I say go for it, and good luck!
I have RR on my 6P and I love it but it didn't seem to support LTE on the shield tablet yet and I'm still have the write permissions issue for my sd card so I just went back to cm12.1. Lol
It's a shame that it has too much bugs yet :/

It's not that. I really like this ROM and I'm not criticizing anyone. I just really hope things get fixed because this is my favourite ROM. Again I'm not criticizing anyone, the rom or the dev it's just the hope talking

The context of the phrase "it's a shame that..." it's like "Man I love this, I hope some things get fixed" just that. I'll keep the ROM even. Waiting for the fixes. Don't get it wrong please

I have touchscreen problems and I'm sure it's not an hardware problem, I've tried other ROMs that the touchscreen has no problems. A sound glitch that every cm based rom has so I guess is unfixable. Not cm based roms doesn't have that glitch like DU and Omni. Sometimes deep sleep doesn't work. Sometimes I charge it to 100%, I go to school and when I get home I have like 2%. Sometimes I see some random reboots on the battery graphic too when I'm not using the tablet. The notification area seems pretty laggy and I guess that's all, at least that I remember. If you want I'll try to catch some logcats for you.

You need to be running kitkat, if you are running lollipop use this guide to downgrade http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-pad-10/general/guide-return-to-stock-t2919039 , then use my video tutorial on how to flash cm13 (it's the same for all the ROMs), on video you'll see twrp recovery 2.8.7.0 but recently I built 3.0.2-0, so do all the steps but use twrp 3.0.2-0, in case thread is not linked in the video's description here is the link to recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-p...overy-twrp-3-0-2-0-v400-aka-lg-g-pad-t3428187 and here to video, all other downloads in description. https://youtu.be/TJkCQgo_Rpo Make sure you have v400 not v410 and if you have any other problems feel free to pm me I will try to help as much as I'm able to.

FAQ's
Q) Am I the new maintainer?
Ans. Well Yes, Yes I am...
Q) How often can we expect updates?
Ans. Expect Builds by me every month, the first ten days, or whenever the latest Security Patches are merged into the source.
Q) Why can't you build every other day like the last maintainer?
Ans. Well... I can't do that. Firstly, I have university and my day job, secondly, I don't have enough bandwidth to upload builds every other day...
Q) I don't like you...
Ans. I don't really care... :silly:
Reserved...
Guys, some prerequisites before installing the latest build....
1. CLEAN FLASH first... Even if you're running the last Official build, Clean flash before installing this.
2. OTA is supported with my builds.

The first rom with 7.1.2 for falcon was DU.
I'm a noob at this and I want to change my rom to something new and with better performance, not sure which one should I choose. Is this what I'm looking for or I should try another one first? Will I have full compatibility with most apps from Google playstore after upgrading to this rom?

Just installed it with the latest BeansGApps Mini 0415. Installation went pretty smoothly. No problems on ROM so far. Nice to see 7.1.2. I think this is the only ROM with 7.1.2 as of now?

How's the battery backup (Screen on Time)?

Tbh, it's as same as Lineage OS. It's 3.5 to 4 hours SoT. But I'm using performance profile though. I might have attached the phone to PC for something, so at that point the mobile phone had some charge. Didn't notice exactly. Now, I'm doing a Clean installation. Because, I need something up. I'll check again and tell you.
I'm on the latest version of the previous ROM maintainer and I'm experiencing slow download speeds through WiFi connection (32~120KBps on a 10Mb connection)... I believe I wasn't the only one with this problem so I must ask, is this bug somehow present on this new version? Thanks in advance for keeping this ROM alive! Cheers from Venezuela.

RR was always battery friendly, but i dont test this build due the bugs - i need working headphone and BT
im using latest carbon, dont know about SOT because is my 2nd phone im use it for music in car and navi, but standby is amazing, almost no drop - overnight around 10h it has still same battery level (magisk + greenify + gms doze module). Carbon is extremley smooth and fast rom before using omni but as lagging.

Why don't you test your specific needs? Twrp backup and switch back if it doesn't fullfill your needs
