After rooting your phone with kingo.. what happens.? Does it say rooted successfully or you get any error?
If it says rooted successfully then install supersu from play store, it should work
Or try rooting your phone using framaroot

And after that try rooting your phone
(I always factory reset my phone whenever I am having problems with it. That's why I suggest it to many users )
PS: I m not 100% sure if it will work or not but you can give it a try

No need of root to downgrade! Just download the previous firmware version from sammobile.com and flash it with ODIN.

Hmmmm you don't need root access to flash using odin (I came to know about it just now thanks to @sanjay.addya )
So you can just download the old stock firmware and flash it properly using odin.
Follow this tutorial to know how to flash stock firmware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2505436

ok, you need to copy the kernel file to the phone memory.
Then flash the cwm file using odin.
Then reboot to recovery and flash the kernel that is stored on your phone memory.
Then when you exit CWM, it will prompt you to root, so agree to it.
You need the right cwm for your model of ohone by the way.

I have the same question.
Does anybody have root on SM-N915FY?
I tried all kinds of cwm and twrp and latest superSU (2.46, Beta 2.52).
Recovery is rightly installed via Odin, superSU correctly flashed (without errors).
Where I made a mistake?
Thank you in advance for a reply and have a nice day!

Yes it works . I have N915FY rooted using twrp 2.8.7.0 recovery and su Beta 2.52 + Micky387 kernel.
note the it will not boot without Micky387 kernel after flashing su Beta 2.52. you must flash Micky387 kernel
I'm pretty sure this has been flogged to death but YOU NEED A ROOT ENABLED KERNEL to get root access...
This has been said many times now with new threads popping up with the same topic, for all variants...

Is there a way to root without a computer
i can't flash the recovery. odis say success but i'll find the stock one. anyone?
I've tried flashing twrp with odin and it doesn't work. I get errors like 0success/0fail. How do I root after upgrading my firmware to lollipop? The other threads on this haven't helped me. Also, when I try to use odin to flash the recovery files then reboot it says there were firmware issues and then I have to reflash the stock firmware from Samsung again to get the tablet to boot. This makes me think maybe you can't root lollipop on the note 10.1 yet?? Any help will be appreciated.

I also have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (from USCellular) and I rooted it using Framaroot, which I downloaded onto my tablet from the Google play store. Before using Framaroot, I tried "CA_Autoroot" but it did not have the specific ".tar.md5" file for my device-- I saw the same message that you saw (0 success 0 fail).
I don't know much beyond this. I did install CPU-Z and Titanium backup, two utilities I have found to be useful.
I figured it out. I was using a rom for the wrong note....
Hello, this is simple guide to root Oppo F1 Plus. No need to unlock bootloader :fingers-crossed:
This method worked and tested :highfive:
Yes i know there's another guide in this forum but it only link to youtube video tutorial.
First, download this update.zip and then copy it to your device (internal or MicroSD is allright, up to you)
*You can download file update.zip via attachment below
1. Go to recovery mode. Turn off your F1 Plus, wait for a second and then turn it on again with Power + Volume Down
2. Select language (english of course ahh is up to you)
3. Choose Install from storage and select update.zip
4. Wait the process (below 1 minute) and when it done just reboot system
5. Finishing updating and then check in your app drawer SuperSu should appear
6. Update SuperSU binary if needed
7. Done
will this work with the F1f version of the phone?

There are instructions in a guide in this very section of this forum.
Works like a charm. Having recently purchased the phone I didn't want to root it. But after I realized that Oppo released the May firmware (around 1.3 GB) on their website. Everything works as it should. I'm hoping for an official forum with more stuff.
A question, what theme are you using with the default launcher?

Make sure u check ur hardware info first so u download the right thing for ur phone if arm64 u must download for arm64.. Do it on ur own risk..

Root process:
- TWRP installation using ODIN
- Wipe DATA, complete wipe from TWRP recovery mode
- Copy Magisk 22 into the recovery mode folder via PC
- Install magisk
- Reboot to system
MAGISK parameters : SDRAM- YES, rest are NO
I tried almost everything, I think my model can only have upto android 6.0.1 but I find no stock rom /firmware online.
I am very noob at this, please help.
Make and model of my phone : Samsung Galaxy Note 5 _ SM-N920G'
What happens if I flashify the existing ROM will it come with magisk and the root?
If you can tell me any reliable ROM website, that'd be great.
I tried many firmware stuff, all ended up in bootloops, am really frustrated now.
I want to unroot because I wanna use banking apps. And i am concerned about the safety of data on a rooted device while I work on the banking apps. If you have any separate solution for that, I can keep the root and its fine.
