New Rom . - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

How come there is no asop ROMs for these phone ?
They don't build those ROMs any more for these type of phone ?
I had the note 3 from T-Mobile and it had plenty of support , the n5 it's very limited development wise ... ?
Sent from my SM-N920T using XDA-Developers Legacy app

Thats because of the SoC. The Note 3 had a SnapDragon SoC and the Note 5 has a Exynos SoC. SnapDragons are easier to develop for than Exynos but Exynos are more powerful.

SGS3 just released in 28 countries.

Just saw the breaking news on android spin. Although it's not yet released in the United States, it's good to see that Samsung is sticking to their promise of releasing the SGS3 world wide this summer. I'm thinking that the T- Mobile release date in June may actually be true.

Btw... what really did Samsung upgrade????? The camera.......same 8 megapixel as we have... the screen.... um it uses pentile which is horrible for clarity..... the processor... US carriers will get the quadcom s4 which is still duel core... if anyone buys a g3 I think their an idiot... I'm waiting for the iPhone 5 because Sammy has disappointed me.

S4 krait snapdragon is a15 which has 40% more per core performance than standard a9 in exynos. The gpu in the exynos is better. But the CPU is weaker. Performance will actually be the same now unlike last year Samsung galaxy s2 fiasco. All phones will have vsync on so you will be locked at 60 fps regardless of what processor you have. Development should be unpar with the exynos since the USA will have s4 and international exynos. A15 dual core has the performance slightly Better than quadcore a9. Regardless of benchmarks.

Unless Samsung uses the Exynos 5 dual core. That thing is a beast. I prefer that rather than a quad core Exynos 4.

Who said they won't use an Exynos 4 dual core or an Exynos 5 dual core. The late problems were only with the Tegra based processors. Exynos 5 is based off the Tegra but it is vastly different and barely even resembles it.

No way it can be based of tegra because nvidia is closed source almost everything. Tmobile will have a s4 krait and 2 gigs rams Samsung Canada has confirmed it so has tmonews. The 2 gigs ram and a15 processor. Make the phone a beast.

that's stupid. tmobile is changing their towers to include the 1900mhz spectrum, just buy the int'l version of the s3, problem solved. Cpu makes a big difference in how clear the screen is/photo quality. I had an Epic 4G Touch with Sprint (has the dual core Exynos) before coming to T-Mobile and it was a lot better than this phone in just about every way, the screen's colors were more vivid, there was less noise in photos, image quality was incredible, battery lasted longer, even images taken with the front facing camera were nicer, response times were faster. Cpu makes a big difference. Have fun with the iPhone, not that anyone cares about how Samsung disappointed you.

because exynos cpus lack the LTE support that the qualcomm chipsets have.
Does T-Mobile plan to have LTE?

The difference was no one seems to get this Samsung actually optimized the software around exynos. The Samsung Galaxy S2 with qualcomm processor was ported software. Not as well optimized as the exynos. Samsung was in a rush to get the phone released in the states. Samsung knowing LTE is the big thing in the USA. Will optimize both phones equally now. Especially if the phones are being released so closely towards each other. Even the developers in the Samsung Galaxy s3 forum are saying that the 2 gig krait cpu is the better phone. A9 dual core to a9 quad core is not much of an improvement. Krait actually is and it keeps up with the best with less cores. Until true a15 cores come out.

Not sure about those specs, note 2 is already supposed to have 1.6 quad core, why a 1.5 dual core on a flagship product like the nexus? Time will tell i guess

The nexus devices are about software, not hardware. The galaxy nexus was released with a 5mp camera when 8mp cams were common.
But that Samsung galaxy nexus 2 probably isn't right, Google wouldn't want a nexus with a microsd card...

Comparison I9500 and i9505

Hi,
For those who are interested in knowing precisely the difference between the i9500 and the i9505, GSM arena made a very complete review of the differences:
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s4_i9500_vs_i9505-review-930p3.php
As it turns out... not very different only a few performance differences and the i9505 has a slightly better battery performance, and primarily required due to lack of production capacity of the Octa chip...
Enjoy !
That's old news buddy.

What they miss to mention, and which is probably the most important point is that i9500 Octacore is unusable. I had it replaced 3 times and it still crashes on a regular basis. The 9505 is a completely different phone in comparison.

According to one review i read, the 9505 quad gets 18hrs talk-time and the 9500 octo gets 11hrs take-time, that is quite a difference.

Guys I have a question regarding the last line of OP. It said the snapdragon variant was required due to production shortage of S4 Exynos. My question does that mean with the increase in Exynos version production the snapdragon variants will be produced less?

Since you are in XDA, the point is not, which of the 2 versions are more famous but which has better support. And so far we know, that Samsung doesnt help developers to its processors. Also, the ge is for snapdragon edition!

Im s4 user and i can say its MOD EDIT: Profanity removed rule 2.1 . They forgot to mention that iphone only has 2 cores vs nexus 4 quad core.
The real deal is that iphone cores are very powerful and efficient. 2. The ios ecosystem is alot more efficient. I can say this i left iphone 4s for galaxy s4 and with no doubt iphone preformed much much better. Iphone had 2 cores a9 and galaxy has 4 times the ram and 8 cores.
