I have galaxy s6 G920F and I can't return to stock ROM, if I flash via Odin android 5.1.1, it says successful then stops on boot screen. I also did factory rest after installing also cleared cache but nothing happens. I tried France stock ROM 5.1.1 XEF I guess also UK BTE but I got same results.. but I can install custom ROM and it works fine but I need to return my phone but can't until it's on stock ROM.
It also says dm-verity verification failed. I just need to boot with stock ROM other error or warning messages don't matter..
Any help please thanks.
Are you flashing via ODIN? If so, make sure the auto reboot and F.Reset Time options are ticked.
Use the latest version of odin. Repeat flash. If it still persists return your S6 to Samsung for warranty repair.

I did everything is fine. also I not just tried with one ROM file, I've used France 5.1.1 Stock ROM as well UK VIR Stock ROM. Most of all Odin flash it successfully. and after reboot it stuck on boot screen..
Can it be related to bootloader? or Recovery? I don't think its recovery as I've tried TWRP(instead of stock) to see if that fixes but It didn't.
if its bootloader then can I flash just bootloader from custom ROM(somehow) and keep the rest of stock ROM?

Same problem here
any solution to this problem ?
Everything was fine. tried the minuit (or however you spell it) mod. Ended up in a boot loop. i can get into download mode fine. Downloaded the stock firmware to odin back and start over, but when i try, it checks the MD5 just fine. starts the "setupconnection" then i get a fail "can't open the serial(COM) port.
Am i doing something wrong here? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
What firmware version were you on before bootloop and what version are you trying to ODIN?

You need odin 3.10.6 and make sure you downloaded the latest stock firmware .tar. when flashing, don't move the phone, cord or laptop (if thats what you have).

Not completely understanding you. Are you saying Odin is failing when trying to Odin latest firmware?
Yes, I failed to flash the latest firmware by ODIN 3.10. I read another post mentioned PIT file to flash to avoid this issue. However, I don't know where I could download the PIT file for this phone.

Hi all.
I bought galaxy s6 last week with android 5.1 (Network was still working). Next day I flashed stock android 6 with odin and then I flashed recovery, I rooted, flashed new modem and I installed Pure stock extra lite ROM. All worked, except network.. I can see that I have signal but when I try to call someone it shows "Not registered on network". So I try to flash new Alexis ROM with new bootloader (Hacker bootloader) but it isn't better and problem is still here. Anybody know what to do with this problem? Maybe try to install stock android rom with odin? I would be really greatful if anybody can help me..

Aha, restore your firmware through 'emergency recovery' google or youtube it for instructions.
= Emergency Recovery Smart Switch for *Galaxy S6* if necessary <
EDIT: Oh your network.. I'm afraid I just can tell you to do what I told you to fix it..
It will bring you back to stock Android 6 then root it..
EDIT2: Do what I told you and repeat all the steps you done:
Root and download the ROM but don't flash any modem cuz it will bring you back to the current problem.
Remember, no modems.

Is your IMEI still ok?
I made instructions on how to use Smart Switch here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/how-to-smart-switch-emergency-t3383448
but it will revert you back to stock fw.
Check your IMEI/sn with *#06#
If you get IMEI null, or 3500000000006, you will have to rewrite IMEI with a box, and before that Smart Switch initialization won`t help.

So I did it and after Smart switch installed the rom it restarted and screen "Device doesn't have DRK"
EDIT: Now it boots to recovery and there it writes: "Device does not have DRK (Device Root Key), contact to SW PL. Please flash ENG binary then install DRK".
Does anybody know what to do with this?
EDIT2: So I found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSNbHvJdTk4) and I flashed space x kernel and it boots but it didn't solve the problem which I had.. still I can't make any call or sms.. Btw my IMEI is still same and it's fine.

Your welcome pal, I wish I can help you but modems are the last thing I will touch. Don't lose hope, try to flash modems, search for correct modem for your phone.
Good luck!
EDIT: I also recommend flashing more than 3 ROMS sometimes that helps. Try to flash XtreStoLite ROM and Terminator and any popular ROM you see. If it asks to flash modem in the Aroma installer do it, flash the latest one.

If you flashed a stock firmware successfully it will not boot into twrp, flashing a stock firmware will install stock recovery, which means the stock firmware did not flash properly. Have you tried smart switch at all? Are you sure you have the correct firmware to flash through odin?

That means TWRP works and Fastboot/Download works. What is the actual Galaxy S6 model? Mine is G920F.
What custom ROM did you try?
What version of TWRP are you using? The wrong one can create issues.
Did you wipe the phone trough TWRP first? Twice? Including internal memory?

I've tried everything that i could find using google. Nothing has worked so far.
My friend has a S6 that was on 5.1.1 with root. It didnt received OTA updates so he tried to flash the new Nougat rom using ODIN. Alas the phone softbricked.
I can access download mode, but doesn't matter what firmware i try ODIN always end up failing. It's either sboot.bin, cm.bin so i think it has something to do with the bootloader? I'm not sure.
Tried to use SmartSwitch too but after it downloads the firmware it gives me an error and says to enter safe mode (????) so that's not working either.
Has anyone have an ideia of what to try next?
Thanks in advance.

Download right newest firmware for your model, use SamFirm to get it. Then use Odin 3.12.7 with newest Samsung USB Drivers to full-flash stock ROM. Set also "Factory Reset" in Odin then START. If Odin shows you 'pass' then everything comes good.

Not necessary, just "Factory Reset" and that's it. I don't know why Odin shows you "pass
