Correct procedure to install LineageOS on stock M2 - Sony Xperia M2

Hi there!
I have a question regarding the installation of the following ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...nt/rom-cyanogenmod-14-1-developement-t3518598
I already checked my bootloader, the menu says that it is unlockable.
Is the following procedure correct:
1. Unlock bootloader (like described in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2743694)
2. Root Phone (like described in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/eagleroottool-t3390663)
I also found this Tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/unlocked-bl-root-sony-xperia-m2-android-t3214498 so which one do I use?
3. Install TWRP (I found no tutorial yet, maybe somebody can help)
4. Backup Stock ROM, Wipe and Flash LineageOS and openGapps (I've already done that on other devices, so no help needed here)
Thanks a lot for your support
Regards,

Here what you need
First: You need to unlock your bootloader. To do that go to this link: https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/ follow instractures and get your unlock key. Then use flashtool to unlock bootloader follow this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/issues/guide-beginners-how-to-unlock-t1971363
Important unlocking bootloader deletes your data (I mean factory reset) make backup
Second: Update bootloader. Install bootloader update from this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/development/ubl-xperia-m2-bootloader-update-ftfs-t3288148 I recomend flashtool to update bootloader. To do that turn of your phone -> Open flashtool -> cınnect your phone while pressing volume down button -> press flash button on flashtool -> choose the one you downloaded before
Third: Install TWRP the one for xperia m2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/orig-development/recovery-twrp-3-0-1-0-t3570670 to flash this you need adb download from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 open adb console -> turn off your phone -> connect wile pressing volume up ->then type this one: fastboot flash recovery receveryName.img
You dont need to root your phone if you want to flash a custom rom just go to recovery ( volume down and power) wipe cache - dalvik cache - system then go install choose the rom thats all :good:
Have a nice day

This is not the right place to ask questions.PM me and I will help you root or open a thread in general forum.
If you have unlocked BL just flash a custom kernel to get root like this one

Well, copy and paste the guide to my PM box as well please. Or make a new thread because there's really no one central and up-to-date thread about what exactly you need in one post. Everything seems scattered around and thus I haven't too figured out what and how because I guess I'm probably missing some stuff.

[TUTORIAL][TWRP][ROOT] for Lenovo A PLUS (A1010a20)

Hello,
All the credits go to the member "avecilla" from the spanish forum "Móviles dualsim", I just bring his method to XDA and translate it. This is the original thread:
TWRP and ROOT for Lenovo A1010a20
Unlock bootloader
First of all is to unlock the bootloader. You must have enabled in Developer options USB Debuging and to let unlock the OEM (I asume you have the MTK drivers installed)
With the phone on and connected to PC, execute the file auto.bat inside Unlock bootloader folder. MAKE A BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA, during the proocess the phone will be restored to fabric. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE OF ANY LOST
The phone will restart in fastboot, unlock the bootloader and restart LOOSING ALL YOUR DATA
Install TWRP
With the phone on and connected to PC, execute the file Flash-TWRP.bat inside Autoinstalador_TWRP. After to install TWRP in fast boot, swith off your phone getting out the batery and waiting for at least 2 min. THE FIRST BOOT MUST BE IN TWRP, in other way the phone Will install the stock recovery again.
To restart in TWRP (VOL+) and Power, in the menu with (VOL+) select Recovery and with (VOL-) select it. In TWRP instal SuperSU.zip (search the forum), clear dalvik/cache and restart.
I got it at the first intent without any problem or brick, but it is your responsibility.
You can get the file in the original thread - "Lenovo.zip" and SuperSU in XDA

TeamWin Recovery Project 3.0.2
WARNING #1: Unlocking BL and flashing a custom recovery voids your warranty. Please make sure to contact your carrier/seller if your phone is still under warranty after unlocking the bootloader.
WARNING #2: Make sure you have enabled OEM unlock and unlocked bootloader before trying to flash this. How you can successful root and install TWRP will be described below.
WHAT IS TWRP?
Oh come on, you know what it is - don't try to fool me!
In case you're serious, though...
Team Win Recovery Project is a custom recovery for Android devices.
It allows you to back up and restore your data, flash custom ROMs to your device, repair broken file systems, and root your device.
HOW-TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER

2. Install minimal adb and fastboot
3. Plug in your phone and make sure all huawei drivers got installed

8. Type fastboot reboot-bootloader (your phone will now boot into bootloader, if not, you haven't set up drivers or adb/fastboot correctly)
9. This step will wipe all your data! Type:
Code:
Code:

(xx is for your unlock code)
10. Ones it's done type:

Make sure you enabled OEM unlock in settings, if you haven't please do that now by tipping 10 times on build number (to activate developer options), than open developer options and go to OEM unlock, enable it
Have an unlocked bootloader is required! (In my case, I login the unlocker website at provide necessary information and get the unlock code so try yourself !!!)
Download the TWRP recovery from the download section below
Make sure you got fastboot drivers installed (I will describe this below in how to unlock your bootloader)
Open the adb/fastboot application on your pc and go to the directory where your TWRP img file is downloaded
Boot your phone into download mode (First method: fastboot reboot-bootloader while connected to pc. Second method: power off your phone, hit power on and volume down until it boots to download mode)
Check again if there is written: unlocked phone!
If yes type now into your adb/fastboot terminal:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery Twrp_CRO_U00_recovery.img

Click to collapse
Type:
Code:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Now boot into recovery by pressing: power+volume up+volume down at the same time
Enjoy twrp
HOW-TO ROOT
Backup, just in case
Have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP installed from above (take one from december)
We will use this root method: Phh's superuser
Download latest official phh superuser zip here.
Put the zip on your external sd card of your phone (since we can't access /data in twrp)
Boot into twrp and flash the downloaded file
Install latest Material phh apk: Release post

Rooting Xperia XA F3111 in 2019

I need assistance rooting my F3111, seems like everything is extremely vague on this forum. So I'm trying to follow both this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xa/how-to/f3111-f3113-f3115-root-sony-xperia-xa-t3867870 and the noob guide for nougat, both of these are not really helpful to me since there seems to be some really crucial omissions here.
My problem is that I seem to have installed all the necessary drivers, my device is detected when I do fastboot in blu on Flashtool, but that's about as far as I go because my Xperia XA (F3111) device is not shown in the list of devices. Could anyone please help me out here?
Ok, its not so difficult, if you have a basic understandig and divide the mission clearly in the necessary steps
1. I assume you have your bootloader unlocked and have backuped your data!
if not, do a backup and search the sony site how to unlock the bootloader - they have a very easy tutorial.
2. What you need:
forget flashtool!
download and install platform-tools on your PC, if not already done.
download TWRP recovery for Xperia XA and boot.img and copy the .img-files to the platform-tools folder
download Magisk.zip (or SuperSU.zip) and DRM-fix and copy it on a external SDcard on your phone.
3. Installing recovery
open cmd, navigate to platform-tools, connect phone to USB
enter adb devices, you will see some device number, if not check your drivers!
enter adb reboot bootloader your phone will now boot into bootloader mode
enter fastboot flash recovery twrp-recovery.img (or the corresponding filename)
if successful, don't reboot into system!! enter fastboot reboot recovery
or power off and hold power+vol-down to boot into TWRP recovery
4. Installing Magisk
In TWRP, (cancel any password questions), go to Wipe and format,
then go to install, change to external SD and flash boot.img and magisk.zip (or supersu.zip),
reboot, skip google and myxperia logins!
5. DRM
Power off, hold power + vol-down and install drmrestore.zip (same procedure like 4 but without wipe!)
DRM Keys with Andoid 7
Hello,
I am having difficulties while trying to backup DRM keys - TA backup with the DirtyCow Exploit (backupTA_v2).
As far as I understand the tool could not work win Nougat (7) and the only approach is to roll-back to an older version of Android for example MarshMallow. The only way to do that is to have an unlocked bootloader and if you unlock it there is no way to create such backup to use in future.
Could you please let me know if there is a chance to backup those DRM Keys with Nougat ,so I can safely unlock my bootloader?
Every help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
i cant seem to make the phone go into flashboot mode the led turn blue but nothing show up on the screen
i enabled adb and oem unlocking

[Q/H] Safety way to Unlock Bootloader + Flash Recovery + Root

Hello dear XDA surfers, today I asked for unlock code from official Xiaomi Mi Unlock page and what i want to...
So.. I'm goin to be much much happy for any advices here, thank you. x)
1th:
Is there some way to BACKUP STOCK ROM w/ Locked BL No-Root please?
If YES, please tell me prep. steps how to do.
2nd:
Lets suppose we have done 1th step (if possible) and we go to make our POCO X3 NFC to be unlocked..
We will need :
#MiUnlockTool
Xiaomi Official Link
#USBDriver
Xiaomi Official Link
#MinimalADB&Fastboot
XDA Official Link
#Magisk
XDA Official Link
#MagiskManager
XDA Official Link
#Recovery
XDA Official Link
#DmVerityDisable
Direct DL from AFH
___If we have all that items lets prepare the phone.
3rd:
Enable Develop Settings on phone:
Settings - About - Tap several times on the Build Number = Enabled
Go to Extended options - Developer settings - Enable OEM & USB Debug
Now we should be ready to boot in Fastboot ( Vol Down +Power) then insert usb cable, wai ting for successful boot.
Restart the phone and again check if OEM & USB Debug are ENABLED
4th:
Flashing custom recovery with CMD commands:
Enter Fastboot holding VolumeDown+Power
Connect USB Cable
Launch Adb&Fastboot CMD or PowerShell
The commands:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It should say 'OKAY' than we should exit fastboot holding VolDown+Power to Exit
When screen goin off immediately? press VolUp+Power to enter TWRP
5th:
Now we are in TWRP Menu, should to - Wipe Data/Factory Reset & Advanced Wipe - Cache Data
Next we will flash Disable VmVerify.zip then flash Magisk.zip
If success, can to reboot and check if phone is rooted.
