Nano ROM
Debloated Customized and Inspired
Hello Huawei user
Since the Galaxy S3 i build Custom ROMs, but i'm since then not known here.. Everyone that use my builds know, the ROM is almost completely debloated. Unfortunately Im not a fan of the whole content they build in, although less than others. Before i changed to huawei i had an S3 like mentioned before, and a Z2 from sony. Im here since mid of june, and appreciated so far with a very stable and bugfree P9. At this stage i start here with my projects for all users like to flash custom roms. My support is highly 2-3 years or until EOL from Huawei.

Im upload to other host, but i still dont know whats the best alternative for big files.
Fantastic, I'm gonna try this soon.
Kindly consider to use build 183 on your next update. I think the JPEG output is slightly improved in that build and the new Smart-E feature is kinda neat.
Thanks!

Thanks for the custom Rom Mate, always good to have more Options. But...nothing really to this, except saving One from the Work of rooting and uninstalling apps themselves? As far as I read your release Notes?

Hi @dkionline
I've had the pleasure flashing the ROM last night and been running it for more than 12 hours now.
Everything seems to work fine except for the Camera apps having issues launching twice today. It didnt launch and after multiple tries the screen went blank and I had to reboot.
Hope you can have a look on this. Thanks!
@darthkir, is yours L09 or another?
I know some apps can lag and stop running after a time like gallery and tapatalk. I look into it. Maybe bring a fix patch or build in next update.

Mine is a L19.
Should you considering another build, kindly look at B183. There is new feature added in the camera app and it seemed like the JPEG engine is a bit more matured.
okay @darthkir, ill check what i can do. They maybe changed camera libs.
Btw, whats the new feature? I got the firmware, but im lazy to use L09 not AL00 builds.

One that I can remember (if correct) is Object Recognition mode. Didnt have the time to test it out though.
Besides the Camera app, I can remember a new smart assitance feature called the Smart E. Something that can replace the navigation bar by using a single floating, widget-like thingy.
In the recent apps list, my browser goes missing. Sometimes, but rarely, it reappears.
The browser app is Boat Browser. I've tried both restart and reinstall.
Fir what I know it's the only app with this behaviour.
Chrome works ok, it shows up in the list.
I suspect one the many per-app permission Android 6.0 gives us, but haven't been able to fix it by changing them different ways.

It works fine for me ..I'm on B360 beta
Hi clsA, great to hear!
Do you mean you're on Android 7.0/Nougat?
This update has not been made available where I live (Sweden), if that's the solution you're suggesting.
Also, are you running Boat Browser as well?
Cheers
I'm just telling you it's fixed in Nougat. Yes I'm using Boat browser
Sent from my FRD-L04 using Tapatalk
OK, but Nougat is only in beta for Honor 8, and only in UK, so unfortunately this is no solution for me (OTA update scheduled for sometime February according to newssites).
When you say Nougat fixes the problem, did you have the problem yourself on Nougat? Or are you stating that the problem is non-present on Nougat?
Cheers!
Maybe the app isn't compatible with Marshmallow.
Hi DarkGuyver, that may be so - how do I check that?
(On Google Play the latest update says "Fix bug for Android 6.0 or above", so should be compatible AFA the company says).
Cheers!

Hej
Not really only in Uk...I got OTA update January 4 to Android 7.0 + EMUI 5.0 in Sweden...
Boat Browser not showing in MM Recents
I don't have Honor but I've had the same problem with Boat Browser disappearing from Recents in MM.... Solved by downgrading to 8.7.1 :cyclops:
THANX! Downgrading to 8.7.1 did it.
(Just make sure you uninstall BB before installing apk, otherwise it will not install).
Hi,
Can anyone please confirm that the default theme of EMUI 5.0 is missing from the B360 version?
The theme I'm talking about is demonstrated at this video.
After the official rollout, I re-installed the latest B360 (FRD-L09) and did a factory reset for a fresh start. After that I lost the EMUI 5.0 default theme.
At the Themes app I only got the following themes:
Light
Halo
Pink
Gold
Pure
Also, from the Themes app I can search and find the "AegeanSea" theme that is used in most of the official promos of EMUI 5.0 (e.g. EMUI Facebook photos) but not the one used as default in the beta versions.
I've searched the update file and indeed didn't found the theme.
Thanks!
This is not the default Theme on Android 7. This Theme u talking about, was in the Beta phase the default Theme. But in the official released FW Android 7 this Theme not longer excist. Maybe u can download it on a page. Ask google

Thanks! Yes, I can find the theme from the B320 update file. That is not a problem.
My question was mainly why the theme was gone. I guess you are right and it was just for the beta.
Anyways, I think that theme is the best one among the officials

I'm trying to make sense of their Roadmap, but we all know how those things work out... hmm
In 2018, we plan to release the system as an “installable ROM”
Well it's Sept., and I assumed based on the site; August 2018: /e/ OS beta (MVP) release with several web services (search, app store), maybe that's the ROM release...
Anyone have Telegram can check them out? I posted the Telegram channels on the original post.
If you read carefully, they will be selling devices built with the OS first, then after a trial period it will become public. It does not fully work just yet as a daily....

I really hope this goes good, I love what I'm seeing/reading.
Gaël Duval created Mandrake, I'm not sure I remember him for this, but I used Mandrake when it was around, it had quite the following...
according to hackernoon first beta should come... today or tomorrow

Nice, oh and he also founded Ulteo too.
Well Gaël Duval has certainly done some things in the past, there is credibility here on that, so I really hope this is going to turn out great!

Well if it's made with the payload.bin there are several extractor apps for Windows & Linux.
In Linux I use extract_android_ota_payload;
https://github.com/cyxx/extract_android_ota_payload
Then you'll have your boot/system/vendor images and then you can fastboot flash them, which is nice in case of TWRP issues, or just wanting to fastboot flash...

hmm.. interesting. I can handle those payload.bin files..already have the extractor setup on my Mac.
Would still prefer TWRP flashable zips or just simple sideload zips.

At first I wasn't sure if this was a new OS from scratch, but it appears to be Android, and the info they have says;
Beta stage: forked from LineageOS 14.1

Thanks, I may check it out but it lost me at forked from lineage.and lost me some more at 7.1.2. barf. And more barf. I loathe lineage anything..I'll download it and dissect it
Just curious if anyone has try to install the Google Camera 7 on the OnePlus 6 yet?
I did try but the version I found was beta and it didn't work at all. I hope that the stable version will be out soon!

Beta or stable, it won't work for our phones unless it's modded. There is an existing modded GCam 7.0 right now, but the modder decided not to release it yet.
Only settings work, everything else doesn't. Tried on Pixel Q and OBQ. Tried to force disable crashing but it didn't do anything. But Arnova sooner or later will port it so don't worry. He's amazing when it comes to GCam.
OP7 Cam also must be trash...i prefer Gcam anyday.
I couldn't even get the camera to install on my OnePlus 6
Give it a try :
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog703/
FYI, just tried the 7.0.009 version, and the Camera app crashes after granting permissions.
You should be able to launch without crash on Android 10
