That's the best app, there's no other any better.

Try proshot, has all manual controls, a noise reduction toggle, a freaking OIS toggle somehow (spoiler it actually works), exposure bracketing, time lapse, high bitrate 4k etc.
That is probably the best camera app out there

Has anyone ever compared samples from the actual Stock one on OOS and this port? As I'd be interested to see what the actual differences are?
We have 2 op3 in my work. First on OOS, second on AEX and quality is exactly same.

Whats the best mod or app for the oneplus one camera. I tried a few so far and the ones that come with custom roms are pretty bad compared to other 13mp camera phones.

The "best" camera is subjective, everyone has different ideas of what is best.

This is my first post but i think some one will find it useful. Ukrainian developer going by the username B-S-G has modded the google pixel hdr camera app to work on snapdragon x820-x835 processors.
i have tested this on the leeco tv max x820 and it works perfect.#
but first i had to remove the stock camera via root uninstall system apps (see playstore).
i have attached a link to the camera app below.

I couldn't get the video recorder to work..... Using pure Nexus....

Yeah, but all cameras on N ROMs have some sort of quirk for me. Maybe just takes some playing around with. Cam is only in bata, I'm guessing all cams will get better with time/source released....

Can you upload some pictures taken with it? Or some comparisons (with / without HDR+) would be even more interesting.

I loaded onto my phone last night and it works just fine, even slo-mo video. I'm running Resurrection Remix-Nougat 5.8.4-20170813.
I've included a sample HDR+ photo, below, that was taken in relatively low light...

Cool , is it possible for you to have the same photo with hdr+ on and off so we can see how good it is?
Tested on my device, and its fantastic photos, even using flash only.

You're welcome. I was actually somewhat surprised at the difference it made for low light shoots. I'd normally switch to manual for something like that...

Google's hdr+ algorithm was praised a lot ... It seems to be working properly. Any problems with other modes of the camera...?
Can confirm that it crashes on EUI. Should I delete stock camera to make it work or?

i just installed RR just to test google camera and hdr+ ... i was on Crisbal's 26 v5 ...
Video works 1080p, panorama works, i will use alittle bit...
It's not work here (cuoco rom).

Don't think it will work on EUI, only on N-based ROMs.

Its the aosp problem
As the title says, this is one of the best v6 Google Camera app I've found. I don't remember the source but am pretty sure it's from bulkin043.

thx for this...tried now several versions of gcam 6.*....none of them really worked well.... this one is the most stable for me so far, though i still have crashes ever and anon (after taking picture, but seldom now) . not as stable as gcam5 (which is the last version works perfect 4 me) but definitely best working v6 version for me.
I'm on RR 7.0.2 with samsung sensor.

Didn't do any changes except turn off Slo-Mo in Advanced settings because it fails to work.

Solved, using the last Bulkin Gcam (6.2.030) , I just started using Franco Kernel and no crash or FC.
Any ideas why crash on launch? I'm on Syberia OS Pie with OV sensor
I'm using aosp extended based on Pie and currently I'm using Sulphur gcam from insanity but is there any better one for me?! and does flashing a custom kernel make any difference cuz I'm using the stock one with aosp..

But ive felt it's hard to get nice pictures with the camera, although I thought the camera on this phone is really good. The past pictures proved that. Can someone tell me what the best camera app for this phone is? It'd be VERY appreciated.

What version of Lineage OS are you using? 18.1, 19.1, 20 etc.

I'm using 19.1, as it's the currently most updated version for the phone that doesn't need treble.

Nope, right now I'm using a modded gcam that I found on this forum. It doesn't feel like it's using the cameras potential very much though and feels weird to use.

First off, try Open Camera (from Aurora Store or F-Droid). It works nearly as well as the new Lineage OS 20 camera app, Aperature.

Oh I've tried open camera too, its good I'd say but I do have some issues with it. Mainly with the sometimes grainy pictures in dark places, and how pictures in 16:9 get saved in a different position than where I was pointing at. Is it really the best camera app to get?

Pretty much, unless you have Lineage OS 20, then the best bet is Aperature.
