Instructions:
Before you begin, make sure:

- SU Binary's are updated

I already have root and I kinda went on a deleting spree when i got root... I uninstalled a dozen or two apps that I figured I didn't need. I realize it probably wasnt the best idea and I probably should have frozen them first, but oh well. I think i caused some random battery drains now and am thinking about what to do next. I can think of two options:
1)Odin back to stock/Run this tool^ --> is there any way around loosing my data when I Odin?
2)Wait for SS/install custom ROM --> The custom ROM should replace anything I messed up right?
I also implemented the fix to write to SD. Any advice you have would be great! I am not having major problems with my phone by any means. I'm just looking for the best experience.

The way I compiled the executable may pull up as a Virus in Symantec Endpoint but I assure you it is not.

If you are unsure about anything removed that might cause harm then ODIN'ing back to stock would be recommend. I usually only use ODIN when I want that "out of the box / from scratch" mind set. If your phone has no real malfunctions (like you said) try downloading a battery monitoring app. I use battery Doctor.

We could add a package, it would be large, to push all the deleted files back to the device and set permissions to each. It would be challenging but ultimately can be done, if needed. That is of course if you didn't want to wipe the entire phone. In my other thread I put downloadable links to each app that was removed with the original debloat script. OP you can link to those if you wish.

I didn't even keep a list of what I deleted, I just wanted that crap gone! LoL. Ill probably just wait a week for SS and Custom Roms to come out (hopefully).

wouldnt it be easier for a talented person to create a no wipe odin tar? one that wont wipe phone at all but will reinstall the system and put back anything that was undone keeping everything else intact.. if possible would be a lot easier than making a package to load everything back

It's kind of a one stop shop for installing UBS drivers, rooting, debloating and adding mods. Still a WIP

If I stop the system like I've been doing I don't see why framework modifications are not a possibility. I'll play around tonight when my wife and daughter are sleeping.
Update it seems there is ONLY a deodexed version of the framework patch for NAtive Wifi Tether Bypass. Until I play more the only thing we can offer is adb installing X Tether and Xposed.

...this isn't that type of program. That's something you can either download from the playstore for a custom toggle switch, or wait for ROMs to come out. Or do what I did and download Xposed and added the long press volume up button that enables flashlight with phone off.

If you (or someone else) wants to take the time to edit the necessary files for this to work I'd be more then willing to add it to the tool.

I am at work and do not have time to decompile / recompile these files. Nor are we allowed to have such software on our PC's (APKTOOL)

[Completed] Play Services 5.0.84 Causing Problems?

I have a Verizon S4, running a GPE ROM and KTweaker kernel. Last night, my phone's Play Services was still on 4.whatever, and everything was fine. This morning, I powered on my phone, and it's nigh unusable because I keep getting an error over and over that Play Services isn't working. I managed to get into settings and see that my Play Services is now at 5.0.84. Is it just me having issues, or is this a common thing right now? Pretty frustrating, considering I really can't do anything with my phone with these constant errors. :/

Oh, I see that yoiu have already posted your question in the ROM thread.
I think it's a good place.
Although I see some other users also reporting issues after Google Play Service updates ... some could fix it by clearing data of Google Play Service app, some just uninstalled the latest Google Play Service update, and others fixed it by flashing latest Gapps for their ROM.
So asking in your ROM's thread is fine IMO.

The only thing I can clear, via settings, is the cache for Play Services, but that doesn't help any. I was going to try to disable it and then reenable it, but it won't let me, because it says something about being a device administrator or something.
I didn't have to install GAPPs, as that was included in this ROM package, so I don't know if I should download and flash one of those or if that will cause even more problems for me due to the ROM already having had that stuff.

Unless you get no better advice on the ROM thread, you should reflash the ROM.
If it does not solve the issue, wipe data (= do a factory reset).
Make a backup of everything important before.
EDIT:
My team mate @bhiga found another possible fix to try before wiping data:
Sometimes using Titanium Backup to convert Google Play Services to a user app can fix this issue of Play Services constantly crashing. Need to be patient and keep dismissing until the process completes, then reboot.

How do you do that? I've only ever used Titanium Backup to do backups and restores.

It's a special feature in Titanium Backup Pro app. When you open the system app in Backup/Restore, you see Backup properties. Just wipe from right to left to see the Special features:

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, I can't use the pro features in TB because it can't verify the license, since the Play Services error won't allow me to connect to the Play Store. :/

So keep a look at the ROM thread ... some experienced users have a look at your issue and are trying to help you already.

3 Problems in the Official Android Lollipop I9500XXUHOA7

Update1: After mega wipe, reflashing and factory resetting problem number 2 solved but another two problems still remaining

what's that bull**** lockscreen It's show me all notifications ,toolbars and etc.
is there any way to disable some notifications in lockscreen like notification toolbar while it's enable in android notification center
I don't need to know about cpu usage in lockscreen but It's need to be in android notification center(if deselect show notifications in app info its not shown in android notification too, so its not a proper solution)

I think Samsung forgot to put none option in lockscreen settings
and so if someone want to use 3rd party lockscreen cant disable default lockscreen and results is bootloop in sometimes after restart device
Problem 3:
background of app drawer is dim unlike android kitkat it so good special in a bright background but when open a app and then close it, background of app drawer isn't dim anymore
I have this problem on 2 devices, the problem can be noticed when only a white color picture is on background

I am using 4 file odin rom ı am any bugs. Everything is normal. I am not having your trouble. I think you r wipe data/ cache- dalvic and clean install with 4 files or sammobile.

I dont have any of those.
I flashed mine using Russia LP, which I downloaded from sammobile directly

If you want to mute the device just needed to change a button named "all" to "none" in notification panel

I had this problem too, but after i changed the brightness adjustment its now solved
Just swipe with two fingers over the notification bar and then click the pencil then tick Brighness Adjustment
Then go back and now swipe with one finger and you will see a tick Auto at the brightness adjustment, remove the tick and set brightness hw you want
That solved my problem, i hope it will solve yours too

For problem no. 1
Just go to Setting - My Device - Sound and Notification - While Locked (and set "Do not show notifications")
Note : I just flash only AP file from 4 file Rusian Firmware

Did you reset the device as per the guidelines given by the members ?. I dont know the actual procedure to do this under lollipop but i read that if you experience any issues after updating to lollipop you have to follow some procedure in order to reset the device.
And i hope that you have installed the official russian single file firmware and not the one with 4 files.

Honor 8 Health App gone

So my Health app have magically been removed somehow.
I unlocked bootloader, rooted etc. But when I updated to B131 the bootloader got locked and I decided to keep it that way, so much hassle every update.
So did a factory reset with B131 installed, and health app is now gone
Tried googling for it but did not find anything for honor 8.
I tried some for Mate 8 but it did not work (steps did not count at all, 0)
Is there any way to find this again

For some reason Google fit does not work, does not count any steps.
And other things like S health works, but if I close everything in recent it stops working. So I have to start it and have it running behind for it to work, which is stupid.
Coming from a Samsung the counter just always worked, since it was installed as a service.
Never had to have the app manually started etc for it to work.
Not sure what to do ;O
And it have access to Bodysensors in settings already.

I have the factory health app uninstalled, and are just using Google fit. It count the steps for sure. It must be some setting or permission that is not set.

Which do you think is better?

I don't know really. I was used to Google fit from my last phone and felt happy with it, so I just continued that way. I don't like to use any brand specific apps since you can't use them when change phone (I usually change brands).

The problem Is I have a locked bootloader and would prefer it to stay that way now ;/
So cannot extract it.
And the .zip does not contain the apk file either ;/

You can either pull them (using ADB, e.g. 'adb pull /cust/preinstalled/public/app/') or use a file explorer app to browse to the same directory and click the APK you want to install.
All preinstlled apps are in that directory on the phone.

I already tried that, there were very few apps actually there, Health was not there.

Spoke to soon, It installs etc fine.
But it does not count anything, checked app permissions and body sensors are not even in the list to toggle on or off ;O
So no Idea how to proceed, it's like the app does not know it uses body sensor so there is no option to toggle it on or off.

It's from P9 and it is a basic step counter, that uses phone's internal hardware to count steps, not external ones.
There is an updated, more advanced version of this app, but it asks to use HiCloud connection which is not available in my region. Yet you can give a shot.

It said 2228 steps before I rebooted it, but the steps in health app was at 8.
It did not go up or down in either health app or the sensor tool when "shaken"
Rebooted the phone, and it says 0 in sensor tool and 8 in health app, still does not move in either when shaken.

Question What's the latest firmware for the PadPro 2021 (TB-J716F)? (and how can i update to it?)

I'm just curious...
Whilst looking for a rooting method I've come across some firmware files that appear to go up to ZUI_13.0.346
Is that the latest Chinese Firmware?
Is it worth updating? I'm on a reasonable rom (in terms of language) (ZUI_12.5.126 with an unlocked bootloader) at the moment and don't want a load of Chinese bloatware.
I have TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_12.6.211_ST_210730_qpst (2.8gb) which I assume I can flash with QFIL.
Then I have what appears to be an update file as inside the archive it differs from the qpst image. I have;
TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_12.6.211_ST_210730_to_TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_12.6.238_ST_210824.zip (8mb)
and
TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_12.6.238_ST_210824_to_TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_13.0.346_ST_211108.zip (2.8gb)
Which (again) I assume I must put these (one by one) in the update folder on the Pad itself and let the pad find it to update.
Is this correct?

As of now, I think ZUI_13.0.364 should be the latest Chinese Firmware version.
You can find a zip file named "TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_13.0.346_ST_211108_to_TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00209.3_R_ZUI_13.0.364_ST_211115.zip" (42mb) in this post.

And yes, you should apply updates one by one after flashing ZUI_12.6.211 with QFIL.

Because it is the only one that I cannot find so far... So I had to try to update from 12.6.211 to 13.0.346 by omitting update to 12.6.238. At first, I thought it worked perfectly, but the next day I found that I cannot launch the built-in "Security" app anymore.
If I can get this zip file, I will be able to make sure that the problem comes from omitting update to 12.6.238 version or not.

I think the zui 13 update is quite an improvement. Especially from the crappy Banggood rom. English is fine, you just have to get through the Chinese setup and then change the language.

Nope my Xiaoxin 12.6 does this out of the box and comes with Zui 13. I think it's a problem with the security center in Zui 13 not an issue with what you have done.

Yes, I'd like to continue to use Chinese version rom. But currently I have an issue regarding Security Center app on ZUI 13...

I will try this zip file as soon as possible.

Yesterday, I did another try by including the update "12.6.211 to 12.6.238", and found that there's no difference. So I think that the "Security" app issue has nothing to do with my updating processes.
As @mardon85 says, it must be a common problem in ZUI 13.

I think it must be, as I didn't even realise I had the same problem until your post!. Mine just force closes as well....

Oh...now you have the issue, too. That's terrible... You did "Factory data reset" (or relocked bootloader) after upgrading to ZUI 13, didn't you?

No I didn't relock the bootloader because I rooted it....
I'm not too fussed at the moment
I'm going to try some permission managers to see if they work and if they do, I'll just disable the security app entirely.
(At the moment if I disable security I lose the permissions settings)

I prefer to use with bootloader locked, but I decided to unlock and root my device, too.
(For me, keeping Widevine L1 isn't so important.)
Now I can open Security Center app as long as I don't do "Factory data reset" or relock bootloader.

This is just odd!!
Why don't you try whitelisting the apps you need then relocking the boot loader? It may remember the settings and you keep Widevine L1?

When you relock bootloader, all the userdata forced to be wiped immediately. So the method doesn't work (at least on my device...)

I had security app issue after i factory reset my device.
But latest update 13.0.430 ST fixed this issue.

Do I really loose Wideline 1 if I update via OTA from Zui1 12.6.238 to ZUI 13.0.430 with locked bootloader? Netflix via APKpure is now with Wideline 1.
