How does using Voice Input for messages work?
When I click on a contact, select the messaging icon, then select the blue microphone icon, it starts recording my message. However, I see NO way to
a) stop recording
b) sending
The AT&T guide I found online shows a 'send' menu point that is supposed to be at the bottom, but I don't see one.
Instead, the screen goes blank, (only showing 3 menu points to the rightm which when pressed only allow a language selection). And then the screen timeout kicks in and i cannot send my message. It is also NOT automatically sent after a while.
Is this broken or am I just not getting it?

I thought there was an app, that when your done with your phone call, gives option for you back to the home screen, not the dial screen ?
I use Not Call log.
I am running a Verizon Galaxy Nexus on Jelly Bean and my question is simple. Is it possible either through apps or rooting, to have a button on the "ongoing call" screen that appears if the number is caller id blocked or is not in any of my contacts; that creates a new contact? Example 1: Someone calls and their number is already in my contact list. The new contact button on the dialer is grayed out or just does not appear. Example 2: Someone calls and their number is not in my contact list. The new contact button on the dialer is not grayed out. When i press it, the new contact screen pops up with their number already filled in. After typing in all their relevant information while still on speakerphone, you can press save and be returned to the ongoing call screen. Example 3: Someone calls with a blocked caller id. The new contact button on the dialer is not grayed out. When i press it, the new contact screen pops up without their number already filled in. After typing in all their relevant information while still on speakerphone, you can press save and be returned to the ongoing call screen.

Is there any other method besides swiping right-left on the ringing phone screen to show the hang-up button?

Click to collapse
That's it for stock. If you don't like that you need to download a call app. I use Rocket Dial. It's nice and has a ton of options. It also has skins for all the various call, dial and contact screems. The skin I use uses a button press instead of swipes.
Sending to VoiceMail
Since I put in RocketDial, it still goes to the native Phone app when a call comes in. Now I slide and hit the red button and it answers.
I'm just trying to send a call to voice mail.
I sould have been more specific.
In Rocket Dial go to settings > Advanced Settings > Caller ID settings. At the bottom tap the Settings button. On the next screen hit Caller ID settings. On the next screen put a check in the box at the top for RocketDial Caller ID. This will enable the use of the RocketDial themes for incoming calls. Now go back 2 screens to where it has the Settings and Themes buttons at the bottom. Hit Themes. On the next screen at the top tap Incoming, Then you choose an incoming call theme. Scroll down and there is a theme with large Green and Red buttons to accept and deny calls. This theme is called Full Screen 2. Tap on this theme to select it. Now keep hitting the back button four times. After the fourth time you will get a pop up message to restart RocketDial to apply your changes. Tap the OK button. Now when you get an incoming call it will show that theme screen instead of the stock screen and you can simply hit the green or red buttons instead of swiping. You can do the same thing with Outgoing calls and Missed calls as well. There are a ton of option in Rocket Dial which is why I use it.
First off... I can receive text messages on my W2 Classic and reply to them, but I cannot go to my Contacts list and start a text message on my watch. (If it matters, I can make phone calls from my Contacts list on my watch)
This is what happens:
1. I go to my Contacts, choose one and scroll to the text message icon and click it.
2. The four Google coloured dots pop up, spin for a few seconds and 2 options pop up. One has the blue and white 'Open phone' logo with 'Turn on' next to it. The other has a grey 'X' with 'Cancel'.
3. If you hit 'Turn On' the four Google dots spin again and it returns to the same page. Nothing happens on the phone.
4. Hitting 'Cancel" brings up the message 'Sorry, unable to obtain permissions'.
I don't know what permissions I need on my watch or my phone. I'm kind of perplexed. I was able to do this before.
Can anyone help me?
When I single press the 'record voice message' button, the touch of registered. When I actually try to hold it down to record the message, it doesn't register anything.. So can't record voice messages. Posted a screen recording in the link. Restarting device does not change anything.

Anyone else seen this?
Yes same here. I never use this functionality so I don't know how it normally works. But indeed it's not possible te record a voice message in this way.
But it's still possible to record a voice message; just click once in the "Type A Message" field, so the keyboard comes up, and then press the voice record button again. Then it should work.

Maybe you denied micro access before.
It's because of the gestures i believe. They are horrible -_- Using "Fullscreen/Immersive gestures" module through Magisk helped a bit for me. I can now press buttons that far down close to the corner if i press it slightly then drag the finger a bit to the side. Clunky and horrible, but I made it work for me at least.
