128GB SDcard is lagging only on XZ - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, I recently bought 128GB microSD and I'm facing some issues with it only on XZ. The phone starts lagging when copying to SD, sometimes it freezes for a bit. Any ideas? I'M using RomAur MM version. It worksfine on my Z3 with MIUI 4.4.4

Don't worry your not the only one facing the same issue I am to with my xz dual 7.1.1.

It seems that the card is fake, it started to play up in Z3 as well.

U8100 lockup new microsd

I just bought a new 16GB microsd card for my Huawei U8100. Since I got it my phone has been lagging. It would constantly freeze, especially when switching to next song in the music player.
I checked to see if it is fake, but it is real, has full 16GB at class 6. I first noticed the problem when using a custom ROm with swap and ext partitions on it, phone was incredibly slow, now it is bearable when I used the swapper app.
What can I do? Is the microsd card broken? I checked and it says my phone can handle 16GB, no idea what is going on here.

Xperia Play sim card reader

Hi,
My Xperia play has suddenly stopped reading my SIM card! I've tested with many sims and concluded that it's the reader that is faulty! I've only had this phone a week, how rubbish is that build quality!
Anyway, does anyone know where to buy a replacement sim reader for the phone (I'm in the UK) and does anyone have any instructions for taking the phone apart?
Have searched for the past hour and can not find anything on either!
Sim Card Reader
I have the exact same problem with my Xperia Play. The sim card read suddenly stopped reading sim cards, I don't know what to do. I sent mine to have it fixed and it was gone for a month and when I got it back it still has the exact same problem.

[Q] SD Card Removed Unexpectedly

Hello guys, I have problem with my 16GB and 8GB MicroSD, it just standard class not class 10. I got weird behaviour, maybe many people facing the same issue with me. My sd card removed unexpectedly even my sensation was idle. There's no heat no heavy usage running. Tried reformating several times but again this problem still there. Tried changing rom from ViperS, CM10.2, CM11 no luck. Also I had already returned to the distributors with the new microsd but again, it happens to me. I don't why when I use 4GB my sensation running fine, no problem at all. This is the Sensation limitation? Maybe people have some advice how to solve this problem. Thank you
anyone?
Never heard of it, I've used 8gb, 16gb,32gb, and 64gb on multiple htc sensations, never had a that problem you describe.
But, it sounds like the pin might be lose?? does the card pull out easily when you pull it? i.e. you don't push it in first to get it out but even in this case, the card should be lodged safely inside the enclosure. Maybe it's bad design on the card? like too thin or something and so the electrical contact keeps shorting out
try googling
Sounds like a bad SD card to me. I'm using a 64GB Sandisk card without any problem.
I found this thread mentioning problems with S-ON might cause this.

I thought it was my bad sdcard too. Because now I've tested sandisk 4Gb class 4 running without any problem. Don't know why with Vgen Sdcard(local brand on my country) I keep facing this problem, both 8Gb and 16Gb. Maybe the vgen sdcard can't survive with high temperature on sensation, since sensation sometimes getting hot. Today I've ordered Sandisk ultra 8Gb class 10 and will check if the problem still exist.

Anybody using a 128 GB Micro SD card in the Z3?

Hi,
I bought a San Disk Class 10 128gb Micro SDXC card the other day on amazon.
I put about 40 gb of music on it and it seemed to work fine. Everything was fast and fluid. I then added more to where I had about 90 gb of music on the card. After that, I noticed the music menu on Walkman was taking a long time to load. When I would click on an artist, it would take a few seconds and then show the albums/songs.
Now, the phone completely freezes up if I open the walkman app, or even try to open Photos with the SD card in. I tried putting the SD card in my Surface Pro 3, and everything loaded fine, and quickly. My other SD card (64GB San Disk) didn't have any kind of issues with loading things up. Anyone have any advice with this? You think my card is busted?
Could be an issue with the android version, I'm waiting for lollipop since it "fixes" what Google changed with SD card compatibility. On my old m8 the sd card kept corrupting and when it was working the music would sometimes not play although sometimes it would, some pictures wouldn't show up. I then got it replaced and the same thing happened.
I have both the Sandisk and Lexar 128GB cards, both work fine. What may be happening is you're overloading the process that catalogs the info on the drive. Try clearing the data and cache for Media Storage and Walkman apps.
I've used the Sandisk 128GB micro sdxc for a couple of months and had the same problem.
I'm now using a Samsung 128GB Pro and i've not encountered that problem since (about five weeks now).
Will update in a month or two if I encounter any problems with the Samsung card

I have the sandisk 128gb micro sdxc card as well. been using it for 2 months with no issues noted. having said that i only have 1.5gb of music and the card is only around 29gb full.
I use Neutron as my music player won't touch Walkman sorry. If Walkman is anything like Album it sucks. My card cost ~$115 so I do not expect any problems.

Thought Z3 could only be expanded by 64Gb..card capacity being too high might be your problem...experienced same issue when I put my 64Gb card in an old HTC sensation..

Xperia XZ SD Card not detected

Bought a new XZ 64GB storage two weeks ago and am facing a weird issue with my sd card !!
1-Sandisk 16GB class 10 not detected on my phone but it's working on OTHER phones.
2-It worked when i insert it for the first time but after that it's not detected at all.
3-Once i was trying and it worked for the last time , but SIM card is not detected but it worked again after removing sd card.
4-Tried another cards with differnet sizes and brands but no hope.
5-The sd now is inside my phone with SIM card.
6-Formating the card with NTFS/FAT32/exFAT didn't work.
7-Booting into safe mode also didn't make any difference.
8-My PC detects it and everything looks fine.
9-My Xperia is updated to the latest.
10-Am really dissapointed .
