Verticle play controls pinned to side when in portrait view - MX Player

For instance in Nougat the lower control bar snaps to the right in landscape. Can MX's play controls snap with it vertically. Ergonomically follow suit with Androids lower control bar theme there by placing 'all' controls in the same location. My (right) thumb would LOVE that.

Hi, can you add some snapshots?
your message is not exactly clear to us

Verticle play controls pinned to right side when in landscape view
Sorry about the confusion.
In landscape Androids lower bar snaps to the right. My thought would be that the play controls rotate clockwise 90° OR just for lack of verticle space and the lower edge of MX Players UI only contains from left to right - rotation lock button, the progress bar centered and aspect ratio button.

Can I control whether or not to use multi-window?

In Playstore, some apps have introduction videos. For example, Jump Desktop. When I pressed the play button, multi-window was activated and the video was played on the right window. In this case, I would rather had the video being played full-screen. Can we do that without manually adjusting the size of the window?

Go to: Settings - Device - Multi window, and disable "Open in multiwindow view"
After that you can still use multi window, but those windows are not open automatically.
Also while in there you may want go to notification panel settings and make sure that the multi window toggle is in the quick settings panel rather than the available buttons section. That way you can toggle easily by bringing the notification shade down and panning left or right to find the toggle for times when you want to disable it altogether.
I usually keep the open in window on and use the toggle. I'm less annoyed by the feature i guess. I like it in play store when opening video samples of applications where while playing the developer's video I can read reviews or other info.

Sometimes I like to use the device in portrait mode. When I clicked on an introduction video from Play Store, a 2nd window was opened but the orientation of the video was in landscape mode. I had to rotate the device to watch the video. How come the video's orientation was not adjusted accordingly based on the orientation of the device?
Yeah there is no way to control that. I think the way samsung coded the launch action it doesn't check for orientation and adjust accordingly.
Is there a way to make suggestions to Samsung App developers?

[Q][Resolved] Can we move the picture up to the top of screen?

I suggest we add a feature to allow users to move the vedio picture to the top of the screen so that there won't be any black space on the top and subtitles can be displayed totally outside the picture in the lower black space. This is especially helpful when subtitles have two or more lines.
This feature can be found on desktop version of kmplayer, PotPlayer and a few other mainstream players.

If you are taking about bottom padding, it is not possible. But, moving the video is still possible. Goto Settings | Player | Touch Controls & enable Video pan
Now use two fingers together to move video screen in any direction.

You're going to have to provide more explanation than that.
hello there,
yes i am looking for a solution as well for playing 3D (SBS or OU) movies on 2D mode with mx player (android set top box)
i thing it would be nice if there would be a simple option to crop/zoom screen and align it to just one eye stream (either half part of the movie)
(i don't like vlc player)

You can just use pan & zoom functions to achieve the same. BTW, we are adding more controls to zoom function to individually control vertical or horizontal zoom. You may stretch the video as you wish by using the new zoom controls.

[FEATURE REQUEST] Rewind and fast forward the video for X amount of time

Hello,
Is it possible to add a feature like YouTube's double tap to fast forward/rewind the video. It doesn't necessarily have to a double tap, maybe it can be assigned to these buttons (www dot imgur dot com/a/WxqkR). Also as mentioned in the title it would be great to set the exact amount of time you want fast forward and rewind with 1 click. It would be useful to skip openings of various shows by simply double tapping or pressing a button.
But rewind and fast forward is already implemented. Swipe left/right and you will see.

I know, but usually the rewind/fast forward with swiping skips few seconds and doesn't start to play on the time you selected.

You can choose how many seconds you want to skip by swiping more or less.

I mean that it's not very precise, because the swiping is almost the same as moving the video player's slider, only that you can swipe anywhere on the screen. The idea I have in mind in my opinion is more convenient and stable than the swiping. It would be like in Youtube where you can move the video player slider (almost equivalent to swiping in MX player) or double tap to skip a set amount of time (equivalent to my idea).
Any plans on implementing the native android oreo picture in picture mode for mx player in the near feature? Considering its only a few lines of code and native to android now

A way to crop/drag when setting video as lockscreen background?

When setting a video as the lockscreen background (doable in the Gallery app since the Oreo upgrade), is there a way to crop or drag the image/video around to get it centered better on my lockscreen? Right now when I click on the three dots, set as wallpaper, it just automatically uses the direct center of the video, which sometimes cuts out parts of the image/video I want.
