Is there a way to change the clock on the Always On Display? - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Folks,
I tried searching but I probably am not using the proper keywords.
Is there anyway to change the clock on the Always On Display? The Hour is displayed above the Minutes. I would like a more traditional HH:MM all on one line if possible.
Anyway to do this on a Rooted phone?
Thanks in advance!

Settings -> Lock Screen and Security -> Always On Display.
Tap on Digital Clock then Clock Style.

[Q] Weather Widget - Network Traffic

Hello,
i own a Desire S. I disabled the Networktraffic, by erasing the APN under settings. I only use the WLAN to access the internet.
Beneath the clock on the home screen there is the Weather information form my Location. This Weather information is changing from sunny to cloudy and so on.
I wonder where the data for this information is comming from. I thought I disabled all Networkconnections. I haven't turn on the WLAN-Connection for 4 or 5 days and the Weather Information is still uptodate.
I don't understand where the Data for the Weather Information is comming from or haven't I turned off the network connections complety?
I installed Stats free and it has 0 KB in the "2G/3G/4G Network"
Can someone explain this to me?
Regards
Felix

when the weather widget receives data it receives data for the next 4 days i think that is the answer to your question
You don't have to delete the APN. Just uncheck(turn off) Mobile Network from quick settings.
And yes, when you update the weather, it receives data for current day and the next 4.
thanks for the answers.
btw, is there a way to delete the weater animation from the homescreen and only keep the digital clock?

Untick Show Full Screen Animation in the weather options.

If you want to want to remove the full screen weather effects then long press and then drag the the clock homescreen widget down to the EDIT, and after selecting the city you'll be able to un-tick the "Show full screen animation" option.
If you want to remove simply the weather from underneath the clock widget then I don't think that this is possible with this HTC widget.
So you'll have to find a different widget, HTC have the one with the weather oor a similar one with Facebook updates....
There are other similar style clock widgets that you'll find in the market without any weather, I think that theres one like this in the Beautiful Widgets (free or lite) set.

[Q] Digital Clock that displays seconds

On my old HTC Fuze running Windows 6.5, there was a lockscreen digital clock that showed seconds eg. 5:00:48 PM. There simply has to be an Android *DIGITAL* clock that displays seconds. I just can't find it!
Ideally, I'd like it to be on the lockscreen - but anywhere would be great. (I'm a last minute person when it comes to my commuter train - and need to mind my seconds.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

I've thought of adding this to Chronotopia but it eats battery life big time. Maybe I'll add it at some point.
If you make a search in the market there are some
Alarm Clock Free
Clock Widget digital
Num clock lite
etc etc
Not really for lock screen but there are lock screen replacements where you can add widgets
Thanks for the responses. Because of battery life issues, I think that Alarm Clock Free works the best for me - although I may attempt to configure Clock Widget Digital on my lock screen.
Battery life is already a big concern of mine as I get terrible battery life already...
Quick question. I presume that if something like Alarm Clock Free is not being displayed on the screen that it is not impacting my battery life? Same with Clock Widget Digital if my screen is turned off? Or, do they chew up battery life even if they are simply running in the background?
If they use battery life even when the screen is off, I think I will go with Alarm Clock Free and kill the application after I've used it. (I think there might be some fairly automated ways to do so - and would be open to hearing about the same.)
Thanks again.
Dave
If it's an AppWidget (on your home screen or a widget in a custom lock screen) then it really depends on the implementation. Because of the nature of Android it is most likely that those clocks will update the widget every second, which eats battery. It might be that they have a check implemented to not update the widget in certain circumstances, like when the screen is off. But as far as I know (I haven't come across it yet) there is no (easy) way to detect if the clock is displaying or not. So I always assume that these clocks are updated all the time.
I was thinking of implementing a change on a widget every 15 seconds. So you would see: 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 & 0
I still might do that at some point, but it should always be optional.

Shortcut to display sleep time?

Hi folks, I enjoy my H6L12 (4.4 stock) very much but I miss a way to change the display sleep time quickly.
Is there a way to built a shortcut to change the display time periods?! I change the time very often depending on what i m doing and to get into the display menu, scroll down is a huzzle.
Thanks in advance for any tipps.
btw, why does the BT settings opens all the time when i just want to activate it?!

Can the lock-screen date/clock widget be changed or removed without root?

Is there any way to change the default lock-screen date/clock widget? Can it be changed to a different style or different font size, or removed? I have the AT&T model. Not rooted or modded. Just stock since I've had it. Thanks.
no, even with root isnt possible to do that so without root is even more impossible! forget about that...wait for MM update, the clock will change to flat without that circle.
Thank you very much!!!
You can disable LG lockscreen in settings menu and instal another lockscreen from play store. I am using AcDisplay and it is much better than default and looks very minimalistic...
How do you disable lockscreen. Do you mean Setting > Display > Lock screen , and then disabling PIN? That kills Android Pay for me, so it's not an option. (Android Pay requires PIN). Nonetheless, It's still good to know, thank you!

Lock screen clock unchangeable?

I've installed Nice lock because Good Lock isn't available in my country.
Then I installed "Clockface", with which I once set a new clock for the lock screen.
Now everytime I want to change that clock, it won't change!
Even those "native" clocks from Samsung won't show (the clock shows but only the first one I set some time ago)
Does anyone have this problem?
