Message to member who is not Thai
According to the issues about the storage memory (ufs2.0,2.1) on Huawei Mate9/P10 and P10 plus. Rishard Yu,CEO of Huawei has said that huawei use mix storage memory ufs 2.0 and 2.1 on Huawei Mate9/P10 and P10 plus.
Presently, Huawei Thailand doesn't have any respondsibility to the customers who get the storage memory not the exactly one that shows in the advertisement for mate9. And P10/P10 plus that coming after mate 9 was released for many months. It should have a new technology or the same technology with Mate9 , because it uses the same CPU (kirin 960).
I am droidth who support and help many people who uses Huawei mobile, I may stop support or help anything with Huawei mobile until we receive the best respondsible from huawei.

Ascend Mate 7 versus the Alacatel Hero One Touch 2?

Hi all,
Has anyone done a comparison between the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2?
First, I'm posting this here because I'm looking for a comparison between the two.
The phones seem very similar in configuration except for the available memory
Huawei offers 2 models 16Gb and 32Gb RAM: 2 or 3Gb MicroSD support: up to 32Gb
Alcatel offers 1 model 16Gb RAM: 2Gb only MicroSD support up to 128Gb
The Huawei seems to be double the weight of the Alcatel device (probably the battery makes the Huawei much heaver, I could be wrong)
I'm trying to figure out which one to get, I'm thinking the Alcatale as it was offered before in the US unlocked may be available sooner than the Huawei.
Plus the Huawei is twice as expensive as the Alcatel.
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Found this site that lets you do a comparison between a number of phones based strictly on specs (I know, lots of sites let you do that), but what struck me is that the Huawei was the "winner" but I'm not sure why considering I don't know what the contest was differentiating:
http://gadgets.techlomedia.in/compare.php?id1=1731&id2=1742
In case the comparison doesn't come up properly, I compared the Huiwei Ascend Mate 7 vs the Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 (okay, these are long names for devices, anyone else notice this?)

Will there be a honor 8 lite, like to P9?

Any know of any news on this front?
I don't think there will be one, as Honor 8 is a budget device IMHO, but then again, who knows what Honor have in mind.
Isn't the Honor 5C more or less the P9 lite?
Sent from my HUAWEI MLA-L11 using Tapatalk
Nope that isn't happening. Only the 'P' Series have 'Lite' versions. Honor series don't have lite versions but however there could be Honor 8X or 8A or 8C or whatever Huawei wants to

There is no relation between Huawei and Honor models. Honor has no Lite models.

Specs wise I'd say the 5C is a variant of the P9 lite.

I think they're pretty close, yes. But some variants of P9 Lite have NFC, I think one variant have 3GB RAM (not sure), it has fingerprint reader and a better screen.

The 5C has NFC but no fingerprint sensor in the UK, but the Chinese models has the fingerprint sensor.
I'm sure they're the same hardware platform and customised by region. Using a different screen, software, 3 or 4GB RAM, NFC, fingerprint sensor etc.
I don't think so, from Honor's history there's no lite yet.
But who knows it may happen
i dnt think it will happen, bt am eagerly waiting for honor 6x(with dual cam)
there should be, with single cam, like iPhone series.

It might have 8A or 8C or 8i... Need to wait and see...
Let it get released in other parts of the world. Depends on the success.
Honor doesn`t have Lite models afaik because they are inexpensive allready, Huawei has some for their premium devices.
Honor 5C in Bulgaria is named as Honor 7 Lite

Hi,
Is this subforum also covering the new HUAWEI GR5 2017, because it has the same specs as HONOR 6X?

Looks like it's only released in Sri Lanka for that name.

I think Bangladesh & Nepal too. Sri Lanka anyway doesn't get the Honor brand much the Honor 5X came as Huawei GR5 a with a Kirin processor instead of snapdragon 616.
Honor 6X = Huawei Mate 9 Lite.
I don't mind the brand, I just want this one fast (in the Netherlands).

Will it come as Mate 9 lite? Back in November I saw that it was rebranded as Mate 9 lite and huawei had a page for that phone on their website, but somehow that site isn't there anymore. I have a feeling they might go with the Honor branding

The specs are almost the same... Why have so many brands...

Huawei and Honor both have different strategy, even though honor is sub brand of Huawei. I have asked this same question to honor president in carnival and got a detailed response on this that cleared the doubts. There is good amount of difference as well in their pricing.
Huawei- higher cost, premium series phones, mostly in house Kirin processor, high end camera with their partnership with lieca
Honor- budget segment mostly (apart from Honor 8 and Magic)with mixup of Kirin and snapdragon processors, started shifting to high end and dual cameras in Honor 8, Magic..

Great explanation. Thanks. In China, there is even more sub brands of HUAWEI, so they categorize the market into more subs.

Is it Honor 6X only? If so, it will be in same section once custom roms are out. And it should support your phone also.

You can help the custom ROM process by adding information of your phone.

Huawei reveals full list of smartphones getting EMUI 10

Late last year, Huawei announced EMUI 10, its latest software based on Android 10. They kicked things off with a beta that was made available for many Huawei and Honor devices. Today, the company is announcing (via press release) the rollout schedule for stable EMUI 10, starting with the Huawei P30 series.
Huawei continues to march on despite its well-documented situation within the Android ecosystem. EMUI 10 brings many of the features we’ve come to know from Android 10, including Dark mode, as well as Huawei’s own interface updates and performance and security improvements. You can check out our hands-on with EMUI 10 on the Huawei P30 Pro to see it in action.
The good news for those wondering about Google services is the devices listed in the roadmap were released before the ban. That means they will be allowed to continue to use Google services. Huawei has listed six devices that will be getting EMUI 10 this month and a bunch of other devices scheduled for “later months.”
January:
Huawei P30 Pro
Huawei P30
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Huawei Mate 20
Huawei Mate 20 X (4G)
Huawei Nova 5T
Later Months:
Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS
Huawei Mate 20 X(5G)
Huawei P30 lite
Huawei Nova 4e
Huawei P20
Huawei P20 Pro
Huawei Mate 10
Huawei Mate 10 Pro
Porsche Design Huawei Mate 10
Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS
Huawei Mate 20 lite
Huawei P Smart 2019
Huawei P Smart + 2019
Huawei P Smart Pro
Huawei P Smart Z
Huawei Nova 4
Huawei Nova Lite 3
thank you for the news.
i am anxiously waiting
Let's see if Huawei extends more than 2 major update cycles to these "pre ban" devices. Doubt it .
