Whenever I connect my phone to usb an error is displayed on screen. Please see the screenshot. I have a dual boot pc with ubuntu 17.04 and windows xp. The error occurs on both os. In xp the driver is not installed and an error is displayed stating the specified service doesnot exist. I have tried changing cables and ports but still the same. My phone is unlocked exynos version with android 7 installed.

I am trying to get the drivers for my HTC Desire S on Windows to work.
I have the phone connected in Fastboot mode - Windows just shows "Android 1.0"
I try to update the drivers and use the ones in this folder with no luck:
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver
Also tried the unrevoked ones with no luck.
They just say "Windows was unable to install your Android 1.0
Windows could not find driver software for your device"
This is on Win7 32bit.
Anyone tell me what I'm meant to do?
Trying with absolutely no luck to replace my splash screen

hi, after a year of trying custom roms i learned that the most suitable rom is the stock rom after uninstalling bloatware and system apps u dont use
and i learned that the reason that message usb not recognized appers after connecting ur phone to pc in doanload mode is that you are runnig a windows other than windows 7.
download mode works only on windows 7 ( with experience )
so , to be sure , i advice to install samsung kies from official site , install it and make sure to check install mobile drivers and then restart pc

See proof screenshots in attachments.
Fun fact. I didn't download Kies, i didn't download any drivers, i didn't use any tricks. All i did is this:
1. Run ODIN 4.42
2. Boot in Download Mode
3. Plug in USB
Oh! Right! Also, you might want to enable automatic updates in your system... you know, so windows can automatically install the drivers?
And thats it...

You need to disable some driver enforcement business in Windows 8.1 before you can install the drivers.
http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
Refer to the above link, after restarting, install Moto Drivers again. (http://download.clockworkmod.com/drivers/MotoHelper_2.1.32_Driver_5.4.0.exe)
Let me know.
Windows 8.1 installs Microsoft USB drivers which won't allow you to use the phone even if you install drivers. You must search for your original USB drivers and install them instead of the windows 8.1 ones.

You might need some RNDIS drivers.
Try a factory reset. Worked for me.
My Moto G (XT1033) was working with some bugs to connect on Win 8.1 before the kit kat. After the update has stopped completely. I did a factory reset and everything is fine now.
I had the same issue, and this is how I fixed it.
The easiest way was to enable developers mode on the moto g (go to about phone, and tap on build number 7 times)
Now, developer options should appear in the settings menu. Enable USB debugging in the developer options, that's it!
This should help windows 8.1 recognise your phone.
As I side note, I have not installed any drivers.
Good luck!

Yes, I do this in Advanced restart options and click F7. And windows still can't see phone.
I bricked my Oneplus One while flashing CM11 via fastboot using manual commands on cmd.
After giving all the commands for fastboot flash, during reboot the phone did not reboot and it just got bricked.
The big issue with the brick is that the phone is not being recognized as QHSUSB_BULK but it is showing as Unrecognised Device ... i am not able to update the drivers to qualcom 2012 the windows is giving an error as "Windows was unable to install your unknown device".
I've turned on the Testing Mode to install unsigned drivers and the gpedit policy to stop windows automatically installing drivers is also enabled. Also i've changed the setting in control panel Devices and printers -> Device Installation Settings to "Let me choose what to do "and "never install driver software from windows update".
Still the problem persists Please HELP Me.

Yes qualcomm 2012 drivers will work just fine.
Make sure you launch the tool with administrator rights. It may take a few refresh and try before flashing starts but it works.
You don't need adb drivers here because this tool uses usb debugging port instead of fastboot/adb.

You should download One Plus USB drivers.
If you prefer you should use One Plus Toolkit.

Tip1: Use correct usb cable.
I thought the error was is usb drivers but it seems that the error was in usb cable. I lost my oneplus usb cable quite a while ago and was using third party usb cable for data transfer and charging. Tried to connect the bricked OPO with that cable only.
Just ought to try connected with different cable here used Amazon Basics micro usb cable and VOILA!!! The drivers were automatically installed by windows this time.It worked on current windows 8.1. Dont know it was luck or really dumb choice of USB cable.
But thank you very much for helping me out.
