Yep, I'd love it too!

Download the Samsung app 'good lock'. You change the icons with that. You can find it with google

Someone is releasing an overlay skin for the status bar icons soon. I asked for an update a while back but no reply. He's been mute for a few weeks now tho

Does "Good Lock" work with the S8/S8 +? I liked it a lot better than the built-in one I had on my Note 5.

Good lock is dead.
It has not been updated in months, and won't work on Android 7.0 and up. I read somewhere that Google didn't like Sammy copying them (source... My bad memory), and that good lock had been abandoned.

Go to the above thread and follow all instructions. Make sure you understand 100% what you're doing before you start using substratum to theme your device. Then download the attached apk and apply it via the substratum app. Credit goes to @OhayouBaka for the apk.
You can see my screenshot that it themes the wifi and signal icons.

Wrong apk file upload I believe. App installed is XDA labs, not the overlay lol

[How to] The only way to install FlipFonts!! Tutorial!!

As we know, installing flipfonts downloaded from the Samsung settings menu does not work. Until this is corrected this is an alternative way (without root) to do it.
Install this app called "Ifont" from the Google Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kapp.ifont
Open the app after you download it then close it.
Download flipfonts. You can get them from the Google Play Store but you need to have the apk or know where it is at. The best option is to download from xda in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894397
Find the flipfont apk's you downloaded with the file explorer of your choice and copy them to root of the ifont folder located in your internal storage. Then click on the flipfont and install it.
Exit the file explorer and go into settings/my device/display/font style and change it to Rosemary. It has to be change to a pre-installed flipfont other than default.
Open the ifont app. Scroll to the Local section. You should see the flipfonts you downloaded. Click on the font you want to install and click set and then OK.
Reboot and bamm!! Your done.
The key is you have to let Ifont set it for you.
Found this on another forum.. just thought I'd share it with you..
That was easy thanks a lot. I can finally use the Sony sketch that i love so much

thx
good
Good find man, I saw another thread someone post asking if anyone found a way to get flip fonts to work!
Definitely going to try this out right now even though I've never used any fonts other then the stock fonts ever on any of my phones going all the way back to the G1 lol.
Edit: I saw an option to reduce font size with IFont if you have root, have you tried to see if it works? The main thing that has always attracted me to AOSP roms is being able to make the text as small as I wanted - with touch wiz the text size is massive for me lol.

[APP]LG Easy Settings & Hidden Menu Launcher/Shortcut[UPDATE 06/03/16]

Hi all.
Like title says. Now tab view of the settings can be launched directly from any launcher.
All credit for that to @RocketSauce83
- Install like normal app
- Translated to various languages
Update: 12/12/15
- Code cleaned
- Changed app icon
- Changed package name (uninstall older version)
- Increased speed little bit
- Modified AndroidManifest.xml Thanks to @[B]elias.grande[/B]
Update: 06/03/16
You don't need dialer to enter hidden menu anymore.
But you will need a rooted device.
Installation:
- Download LG_Hidden_Menu.apk from attachment
- Copy LG_Hidden_Menu.apk to /system/priv-app directory
- Set permissions properly:
-rw r-- r--
[644]
- Reboot your device
Enjoy

Since I haven't seen a reply. I will put it in priv-app and see if that fixes anything. I'll let you know real soon. I like the idea of the tabs or no tabs.
I'm a Sprint CDMA LS980.
didn't work.. the launcher was there but no easy settings.
This is a launcher.. so there is still needed the easy setting apk.
I'm going to move a copy of the apk over and see if it works.
Of course they are odex files for cloudyg3-1.3.
Nope still fails on us. in priv-app. installed moved to system app. No go.

My regular ZVD, Kit kit g2 doesn't have LG Easy Settings.
Hi,
Sorry, i couldn´t make it as installable app. Now it is only deodexed and visible in launchers.
1. Download attachment
2. Put it to internal storage of your device
3. Copy to system/app directory
4. Set right permissions (rw- r-- r--)
5. Reboot your device
Thit is maximum that my knowledge allowes me to do. Sorry i cant help you more guys.
I've tried and tried to deodex the g3 apps, but keep getting errors. I'll try it out in a minute.
Edit. 2:20pm CST USA
It shows in launcher but doesn't run. Reboot and the same. Crashes.
Do you think it might need a library?

I am sorry to say it still does not work with our system. I don't get why it wont let tabbed settings. Easy settings may have something to do with the Framework-res.apk and LGE-res.apk
As it requires those. Something in the main necessity files has something in them that the system needs.
You can't imagine how thankfull i am for this!
It works for me on D855 v10h.

@renzo090513 if you use 3rd party launcher then you can directly launch settings only in list view. You always need a next two taps on 3 dots in action bar of the settings if you want to change view to card view.
Easy settings (card view) app is "hidden". Icon of this app doesn't show up in launcher. With this little app you can launch card view of the settings directly from any 3rd party launcher.

Gmail notifications FIX
Thanks to Basil3 for fixing this for me.
Since Gmail.apk can't be edited and the notification text color is tied into Gmail, he was able to hex edit the Gmail color to a lighter color, so Gmail app text is now the same color as the notification text, a lighter gray so you can see the notification, but Gmail is still functional. (Can't change it to say white, as it would then be white on white in gmail, could do a teal color, but this is more clean, IMO, give him a thanks!
I attached the edited Gmail.apk in the OP. If it doesn't install directly, use a file manager and replace your stock apk with the edited one, then reboot.

OK then when you get that FC you need to go into system apps and uninstall updates to gmail
What I'd do.
I'd go into data app and delete all Gmail and then in system app delete Gmail as well, reboot and Gmail should be gone, if not you missed one to delete.
Then once it's gone download it, go into data app, grab it and move it to system app, rename it to Gmail2apk and the folder Gmail2, reboot. Make sure it works. Then take the edited one delete the one in system app and put the edited one in, rename to Gmail2.apk and reboot. You may have to set permissions, see attached image.
Either way should work. But second method def will that's how I did it.
Ehi man, i have flash your theme dark on my Wolla gpe H12, work fine, but I have reboot system only play video on Facebook...

Got the launcher working 100%. Currently on OOS 3.1.0
Thx.
For me is working too on OOS3.1.0
BUT
1. weather isn't working in shelf
2. can't disable search bar
3. Frequently used apps only in 1 line
improvements
1. new quick notes tool in shelf
Conclusion: OOS3 launcher isn't worth to flash
Edit: weather is working now...
Boards in shelf are expendable, more individualisation in home screen possible (icon size, search bar...) so I change my opinion: all is how I expect

[APP] [4.1+] [UNOFFICIAL] APKMirror web app

So I made an APKMirror app. I couldn't find any app for this website so I thought I will make it myself.
Its just a simple webapp with bottom bar and other additional cool features.
•••Info about app update tracking•••
I saw a lot of requests for app update tracking feature. Although it is possible, its very difficult to do. Apkmirror doesn't have any public API so I would have to do it with HTML parsing and in this case it's pretty difficult. If anyone wants to help me just send me a PM.
Thanks.

Yes, downloads are a problem. The app downloads with the filename APKs. There is nothing to distinguish it. You can rename the file *.apk. Its icon appears and it will install. It would be nice for the file to download with its full name though.

2. Make the header/side menu accessible throughout the page within app. The side menu disappears when the page is scrolled down.

I think that there still some download issues with certain files. some download with the correct name. Some download as "download file" without the apk extension. Rename the file and add the extension and it still works. Just not very convenient.
What's the minimum android version??
