Flashed an unlocked g930u firmware on g9320p sprint - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Well I managed to flash (downgrade and os loop) a galaxy s7 nougat 7.0 sm-g930p (sprint) to a galaxy s7 marshmallow 6.0.1 sm-g930u (unlocked) firmware /rom without root, on odin using the files as in order BL, AP, CP, CSC. Strange and yet the only issue with it is it will reboot itself after 10-15 minutes of being on.
The phone would automatically go into recovery mode after flashing the g930u until I flashed a different bootloader file to it and went back into recovery and wiped both cache partition and factory data reset. After that the device would boot normally, but still after 10 min or so it will reboot everytime.
Everything's fine except that reboot issue

Update: i downloaded marshmelloq 6.0 g930u firmware from samfirm, flashed the file, device is working perfectly, unlocked without rooting!!

Hi, I want to do the same but I have nougat on my g930T.
I was wondering if you were able to update/receive the nougat update after you flashed your phone.
Thanks in advance

Auto-Root always bricking my phone!

Hey, I need a little help here.
Been trying to root my S7 on Nougat several times now and it always fails. I've wiped my data and cache, installed the newest stock firmware with Odin several times now, but whenever I try to root it via Auto-root my S7 gets stuck booting on the Samsung logo forever.
- S7 Nougat up to date
- Odin version: 3.12.3
- Auto-root for my phone from chainfire
Well now I've had enough of that **** and I'm here asking for help. How do I get out of this bootloop without having to wipe all my data again? I just want my phone rooted finally. I do not want to have to install the stock firmware again and set everything up again!
Just bought my galaxy s7 yesterday and had exactly the same problem. After some researches i found out that autoroot was not working with nougat. You need to flash TWRP using ODIN and then flash SuperSU from TWRP. Hope I helped you.

Galaxy S7 SM-G930A Android V6 G930AUCS4API2

Hi! I have flashed and engineer boot file to my S7 and it is stuck in a boot loop. I am having trouble finding the stock firmware to fix the problem. What I have found is not fixing the loop. Does anyone have the stock firmware I can use/buy to fix the problem? Can I use a different version as long as it is an AT&T variant? I cannot risk wiping the phone when i do this procedure.
Thanks!
You can't flash stock firmware without wiping.
Updato.com and sammobile.com have all the stock firmware for all model devices.
You should be able to flash any G930A or G930U firmware, except you won't be able to downgrade (i.e. you can't go from nougat to MM).

Thanks for the reply Beanvee! I'll check Updato.com. I wasn't familiar with this one. Sammobile and Samsung-firmware didn't have this firmware version. Anybody else out there have the firmware for this model?
Thanks

I flashed 7.0 on my S7. Also; it was a 930A I flashed to a 930F. Works excellently. I have Xposed as well. So the firmware can be found here in XDA.

Lost IMEI and baseband, ODIN keeps failing

Hello, I'm getting crazy and I don't know what to do anymore.
I have been using the Oreo Rom in the last few days and I wanted to go back to stock firmware using Odin.
I downloaded the last firmware available for my country (ITV) and installed Odin.
The app kept failing when trying to flash and I wasn't able to install the firmware. I tried by flashing only the AP file and I was able to delete TWRP and install the stock recovery. The phone booted up but it acted strange (the touch screen was unresponsive). So I tried to align the CSC using Odin but it kept failing when trying to flash the BL.
I then flashed all files (AP, CP and CSC) without the bootloader and now I have no signal.
Please help me! How do I restore my baseband?
You cannot flash an older baseband through Odin than the one you're on at the moment, at least that's what I was fighting with a few days ago. Check that you're really flashing the latest stock FW and that its baseband is the same as the last one that worked or newer.

SM-G930F SW REV Check fail device 2 binary 1

Hey guys! I have a problem. I have flashed on my Galaxy S7 (Exynos version) the galaxy Note Fan Edition Port rom a couple of weeks ago, but now I flashed the latest stock firmware from Sammobile via odin and it always fails at the bootloader. I don't know why? I searched for many hours for a solution, but nothing works.... I hope somebody could help me
Here is the link for the note fan edition rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7...-galaxy-note-fan-edition-port-vol1-0-t3633626
OEM unlock on?
Could also be that the latest bootloader prevents rolling back, so if you're trying to go from a newer bootloader to an older one it won't let you. You can probably just exclude the BL file and be fine.
Is that Fan Edition ROM you flashed not a S7 Edge rom made to work on the S7..! Maybe your phone shows up as a G935 now?
I have flashed android 8.0 manually from sammobile via odin and it got stuck on emergency recovery and I somehow got it into the download mode and every time I want to flash my stock firmware it says device 2 binary 1... Samething happened to me. I did the same thing u did but nothing worked.
Can someone plz help us to get odin download work again.
you should go for latest rom. download from here: https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-G930F/region/BTU/
You will be satisfy with this.
Hi! Same error but different situation.
I was on the latest firmware 8.0 ITV, I wanted to downgrade to nougat, so I downloaded the first 7.0 firmware BTU (the one that was the best for my S7).
I opened all the firmware files on odin 3.13.1 and I started the procedure but at a certain point everything stopped, on odin the message "failed" appeared and on the phone the message "sw rev check fail (bootloader) device 2 binary 1".
I tried with a different version of odin but the message remains the same, I also tried without flashing the BL file but nothing ... In the end I had to flash again the latest firmware oreo ITV and no errors appeared, but I find myself at the starting point
specific that my S7 has never had modding operations, the knox counter is perfectly at 0x0, I have always used only original firmware and never had problems with odin.
How can I downgrade without having in that error?
Hi just flash this version of latest nougat G930FXXS2DRDI, this is binary 2 firmware (XEO)

Marshmallow firmware solution??

Hi!
I bought recently Galaxy S7 in UAE. I had a problem with lagging video playback and was advised to wipe cache partition through recovery mode. I did that but then was unable to start the system because of "Custom binary blocked by frp lock". I have tried to flash the firmware with Odin but the only one that worked was Korean version, with LG U+ splash screen and Korean bloatware. When I got the phone it had 6.01 marshmallow non-Korean firmware.
Is there any non-Korean stock (or similar to stock) 6.01 marshmallow firmware that would work?
On the back of the phone stands SM-G930F but in download mode is SM-G930L.
Thanks!!
