Pixel Dust ROM is an Android 7.1.x ROM which @spezi77 has built for his Pixel XL based on his own taste.
The code is based on UBERROMS including tons of their tweaks and performance optimizations.
The ROM comes along with ElementalX kernel. I have compiled it with GCC-4.9 and Clang 5.0.0.
On top of this, we added a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included.
I would highly appreciate that you leave your feedback, opinions or just say hello. If you encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not an app specific error), then please give as many details as possible.
BTW, please consider taking a logcat, because you know that:

Terms & conditions:
By downloading this custom ROM you agree that I am not responsible in any way, shape or form of any damage done to your device. The Pixel Dust ROM is provided free of charge and does not come with a warranty.
* Pixel Dust builds (the older builds have an "old" at the end of the name)
* Vendor image (N2G48C)
* Official Beans Gapps
* SuperSU
Installation guide:
Pre-requisites:
*** You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations.. You won't defame or complain for your misfortunes.
* Unlocked bootloader
* twrp-3.1.0-0-bullhead.img
First time installing Pixel Dust ROM, or coming from another ROM (CLEAN INSTALLATION):
1. Boot into TWRP Recovery
2. Copy pixeldust_bullhead.zip + BeansGapps.zip (+ SuperSU - optional/if you want root) to your device
3. Choose "Advanced wipe", then wipe system, data and both cache partitions (check everything except for "internal storage")
4. Flash Pixel Dust
5. Flash BeanGapps of your choice (full/mini)
6. Flash SuperSU (optional)
*** After this step you can boot to system
** If you are told to install a different vendor image, then reboot to TWRP before setting up the OS and flash the vendor image provided above, at the "Downloads" section
7. Boot up the ROM, get signed in and everything and you're done.
Dirty flashing:
The only difference between dirty flashing and clean flashing is that, to correctly dirty flash a new build, you WILL NOT wipe the data partition.
So when you're at the "Advanced wipe" section in twrp, to dirty flash properly, you'll check all the partitions except for /data and /internal storage.

FAQ
How to logcat like a pro
In order to quickly generate a logcat from your device, you require the Android Debug Bridge command-line tool (ADB) which can be downloaded as standalone Platform-Tools package:https://developer.android.com/studio...-line/adb.html
Once you have established a USB-connection to your device, first check whether you are authorized to use ADB or not.
Within your command prompt/terminal window the output of this command might look like this:
Code:
adb devices
List of devices attached
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
HT69V0203274 no permissions
In case you see an error similar to the one above (no permissions), then you need to do the following steps:
1) Stop the server:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"][B]adb kill-server[/B][/COLOR]
2) Restart the server with root privileges:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"][B]sudo adb start-server[/B][/COLOR]
*** The output of this command will be like this:
Code:
~$ sudo adb start-server
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
** Now the output of the command we used in the first place should be something like this (the number is gonna be different from a device to another, obviously):
Code:
~$ adb devices
List of devices attached
HT69V0203274 device
3) At last, let's take a logcat:
Now, before executing the comand, you should try to reproduce the issue you would like the logcat to record.
Then execute:
Code:
[COLOR="Green"][B]adb logcat[/B][/COLOR]
The output of the command will print a logcat of your device that will run forever if you don't stop it. In order to stop it, simply press "Ctrl + C":
Once you are done, use a pastetool to share your logcat. e.g. hastebin or pastebin
Never ever think of pasting your entire logcat into a post.

I have no clue then. It's the first time I'm hearing about such a thing. You're gonna have to check it yourself. Back up your ROM then flash PixelDust and check to see if what you want is working the way you want it to work.

Have you already tried the ROM? We have included Google Connectivity Services which could be the necessary tool to get hot spot access to work.
You may check it yourself...

There's ElementalX included as stock. So you could tweak that according to your needs. It's got the default values which are aimed at better battery results.

Nice to see another wonderful ROM from you
How about battery life and performance??
And there is any bugs??
HAL3
Another nice one, thanks!
It has HAL3, doesn't it?
At least I can see ISO settings in OpenCamera, which I didn't see in any of the other N7100 ROMs (only in SileshNair's Invicta OS). (my bad)
I can't find how to enable lockscreen charging info, might be not available (and anyway, it doesn't tell the truth about charging current in any of the other ROMs).
Battery life and performance is hard to tell, at this stage of testing.
There are some more specialties maybe ..

Battery life is like for other Nougat ROMs: ~20d, if not touched
(i.e. no big battery drainer in the ROM itself).
I install it and see it

Usually it is an App, not the ROM itself which drains the battery
(unles your battery is at its end of life).
Check what apps drain the battery most (post a screenshot from settings here if you want).
Or use 'Better Battery Stats' or similar to check (wake locks eg).

Facebook is a likely candidate for draining I think.
Some of its activities might be hidden in 'System'.
Anyway, I don't think it is a ROM problem.
You can check yourself, by just installing the ROM, no apps, and watch for a while.

For BBS, you need to wait for a few hours with it on. And it WILL drain more battery for statistics

I installed the latest version of AICP and similar Nougat ROM, but after a while the story of the INstagram goes froze and stops the story. Instagram does not open the video on YouTube after this event. This is for you, I would like to recommend a stable ROM, a friend of mine to have two days' head, please. How to fix it.

Pixel Dust ROM is an Android 9.x ROM especially built for Google Pixel and Nexus devices.
Hear what other users say (about Pixel Dust ROM]:
The code is based off directly from AOSP. We strive to keep the Pixel Dust Experience as close as possible to Android as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included. Thanks to all development teams, e.g. ABC ROM, AICP, AOKP, AOSPA, AOSP Extended, BenzoROM, CarbonROM, crDroid, DirtyUnicorns, Havoc OS, LOS, OmniROM and PureNexus, we borrowed a few features and tweaks from. The kernel in this ROM is based on ElementalX by flar2 and compiled with Google android clang toolchain.
The Pixel Dust Crew would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello. If you should encounter a bug, or some kind of glitch that seems to be abnormal and you are pretty sure that it is related to the ROM (and not related to any special apps or mods you flashed on top), then please give as many details as possible.
Special shoutouts to Roger.T for his amazingly designed wallpapers, logos and the best bootanimation I ever had on my Pixel XL!!! If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for the other team members and myself. Cheers!
BTW, please consider to take a logcat, because you know that:

We rebased the project to Code Aurora Sources, more commonly known as CAF. CAF ROMs are therefore generally considered to be more optimized for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs than AOSP ROMs (in performance, RAM management, battery, etc.,). We strive to keep the Pixel Dust Experience as close as possible to Android, as Google intended. We add a decent selection of the coolest custom ROM features that would've been missed if they hadn't been included. Thanks to all development teams, e.g. ABC ROM, AICP, AOKP, AOSPA, AOSP Extended, BenzoROM, Bootleggers, CarbonROM, crDroid, DirtyUnicorns, Havoc OS, LOS, MSM-Xtended Project, OmniROM, Potatoes Project and PureNexus, we borrowed a few features and tweaks from. The kernel in this ROM is based on LOS and compiled with Google's android clang toolchain.
The Pixel Dust developers would highly appreciate if you would take a little of your time and leave your valuable feedback, your honest opinion or just say hello.
If you like our work, please consider to buy Roger the first beer, and a few more for anyone else in the team. Cheers!

:victory:
Gonna try this. Thanks
Ultimate ?
Nice work !! Security patch from March?
Edit: switched to pixel dust from havoc.
Battery life is good. sot is 9 hours (YouTube, movies,browsing)
No stutters very smooth experience.
Display size looks very cool getting pixel xl feel.
Fingerprint unlock is faster than havoc.
Rebooting speed is ultimate.
ROM optimization for all apps are good.
-Notification/charging LED doesn't work.
-When I chose Second sim for data it automatically switch back to first sim
- double tap to wake screen on lock screen doesn't work
- no option to edit QS rows and column counts
As far I used this ROM these all are the things that I observed. If anything more I I'll update again.

Bugs:
unable to change the recent provider,
Unable to install pitch black substratum,
Unable to change fonts,
Antutu score is just 110062,
But still have the smooth experience in apps.
Pixel dust rom is for smooth ui experience and battery life. Not for customisation.
Feature request or i may be i can't find it.
1. native Android privacy guard
2.forced expanded notification.
Lastly it is a ultra smooth rom. I switched from havoc and didn't miss havoc. Caf>aosp.
Needs some improvements.
It's a great rom but needs some improvement..
1. YouTube Vanced is crashing.
2. No option to customize QS rows/columns.
3. No system fonts included (I personally want Ubuntu like in Arrow OS)
I switched from arrow because default apps like phone, contact etc were not Gapps in Arrow. So Good Luck

Hi,
You may use latest china firmware or any A11 android firmware.
this rom stable?
how about for gaming experience?
Been using it for a couple hours now.
Pretty stable despite being so customizable, so that is great. The only 3 things I noticed straight aways are:
Left/right padding on statusbar is less than other roms, looks a bit off
AOD/Lockscreen clock has a "Never Settle" text that can't be disabled or changed(?) on the default clock style (the SSOS one), not a problem on other clock styles
in the "about this phone" screen in settings the phone specs (Processor, Chipset, etc.) are over the phone image
Apart from these everything is pretty stable
EDIT - another one is that disabling haptic feedback for back gesture (when using gesture navigation) has no effect

Hello, thanks for your feedback.
Left/right padding on statusbar is less than other roms, looks a bit off - this will be fixed in the upcoming builds
AOD/Lockscreen clock has a "Never Settle" text that can't be disabled or changed(?) on the default clock style (the SSOS one), not a problem on other clock styles - yes, never settle text can't be changed. It's from rom source unfortunately.
in the "about this phone" screen in settings the phone specs (Processor, Chipset, etc.) are over the phone image - I'm also aware of this one and since it was just a hype, that wasn't my priority, in the meantime, changing the display size to small, fixes it for me
another one is that disabling haptic feedback for back gesture (when using gesture navigation) has no effect - this is also a known issue, me myself was also confused on how they labeled it, but to fix the vibration issue, you may try disabling the vibration and if it still there, switch to 3-button navigation and quickly switch back to gesture nav again.
Hope it helps.
some bug, when finish gaming or daily use until bateray low plug the charge dont want to charge
can fixed by restart system, hope next fix that bug

Would it be possible to get blurred lockscreen background image feature with blur amount slider like on older / other ROMs?

KOSP is a small project based off AOSP and we intend to improve upon AOSP to provide a stable and better alternative to OEM roms with additional features.
Features
There are some cool features, see for yourself
Truth is I'm just lazy to write a long list of features and we intend to focus on the stability rather than adding a ton of features.
Gapps is included!
Note: guacamole uses sdcardfs

Bug reporting:
-> DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
-> Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
-> Do not approach us without any logs for reporting bugs
-> If it is a random reboot, grab everything from /sys/fs/pstore. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
-> Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

There are some posted in the telegram group, and like I said, we are not big on ui
I appreciate the honesty in the first post very much. It made me laugh. Been on here for years and often wondered how long it must take to create these mile long lists of features that you always see. Don't get me wrong, it is appreciated, just seems daunting
Edit: In reply to post #10
It shouldn't take that long tbh, I might add some later but it's not really my concern and we do not intend to add a lot of features. But it doesn't mean that we don't have any . And for those who really want to know the current set of features, they can see pretty much all of it in here

@Joker123## May I ask if you change something in the code of Ambient Display or Color profile of latest update? I found that if I set the color profile sRGB and offscreen gesture single tap to show ambient display, turn screen off and wake the phone with single tap and scan the fingerprint reader to unlock, the color profile will revert to Standard. But if I wake the screen by Power button, there's no issue.
The previous version (0921) didn't have this issue
