My tbolt started randomly vibrating at random intervals last night, no notifications present, no new applications. Wiped/reinstalled cm7 and reloaded apps with titanium but it is still doing it. Any ideas?

are you also on CM7? I have had this happen twice, and reboots fixed it both times. I am on CM7 and I noticed that ANY input caused it to vibrate (button or screen)
Mine does this too, it started recently, I thought I was loosing my mind.

You could always put it to good use.
Seriously though, I haven't experienced the issue yet, running CM7 for a couple days now.

That is correct, unrooted, stock rom.
That may change in the future though, especially with jcase's information.
Hello all.
Hope you guys can help me figure out a little problem I've been having with my nexus.
Its basically quite simple. I've had this problem with both the infin1ty and oxygen roms.
Basically my phone randomly jumps back to the pin entry screen. Its not a total reboot, it Just goes to the pin entry and its like I just restarted the phone again.
Its happened mostly when the phone has been asleep but also one time when I was using it to browse the web. It just jumped to the pin screen asking for my sim card pin code. Its never a full on total reboot.
I don't know what could be causing the problem. The only connection between the two different roms I'm using is the fact that I use the same netarchy kernel, with set cpu and proton voltage app.
I figure if I didn't have my sim card pin enabled then the phone would just connect to the network automatically and I would be none the wiser but due to security I always have my pin enabled. So its quite annoying that when I go to wake my phone to use for something I see the pin screen waiting for me and no signal. I hope some of you guys can help me figure out what's causing the issue.
Thanks in advance

Hey, what do you know ...I'm not the only one. That's comforting at least.
I just switched to a new rom about a week ago now and same issues...it seems whatever this thing is, it runs real deep. Very annoying now.

Having the same issue - it happens irregardless of which custom rom I use. Doesn't happen often, though, like once a week and usually when I'm not using the phone. Have no clue why...
^^^it must be that we are just a small unlucky minority or else others would probably have found a solution by now.

As a general note you should always clear any and all sim card locks before putting them into any smartphones. They almost all use different protocols to communicate with the sim card and without clearing the pin before insertion can cause corruption and that's how these errors arise.

anyone else having this?
it has been trying to activate for 6 hours now, just keeps re-trying
probably just so many are trying to activate right now but i have bought release day phones the last few years in a row and never had this
Mine did that all day. Once I got home and left it alone to charge for a bit, it went through a few boots and finished. I wouldn't worry about it.

They actually sent me home from the store before I noticed it. A couple of reboots today fixed it, but then it just proceeded to download all the Sprint bloatware and compleatly hosed my home screen setup. After that the "activation not complete" notice went away.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced random Restarts with their S7?
Mine has restarted without warning about 3 times, then the last 2 nights it's frozen completely then restarted.
I've read that the only way to fix this is to do a factory reset. But no where states what the problem actually is. Should I be worried?

On Italian forums a lot of people is experiencing random reboots with both flat and edge. I guess high leaking chips with too low voltage
In france too
sous GS7
Getting it every day in middle night, seen it only once but notice every morning because i have to type my pin instead of fingerprint. S7 snapdragon variant.
I had those resets when I bought memory card. Formating SD card from my phone helped. No more resets since.

Yea, no sd card here. Im going to chat up samsung about it later
Sorry to bring this thread up from dormant. I'm using G930A running 7.0. I bought this phone used and I have already experienced 3 reboots. In first 2 times, the screen freezes and I see corrupted, noise image where the top status bar was. The phone rebooted after 10s or so. The 3rd freeze/restart is right after the 2nd restart, when I was entering PIN.
Has anyone experienced restart with phone freezing and corrupted status bar? I need to decide if I should return the phone.

The update took only about 5-7 minutes.
However, after the update my phone rebooted. Then it did it again. Then it did it yet again. Etc.
I think I've tracked it down. Every single one of apps that were moved to the SD card (43 in my case) "broke" in that they could no longer be launched. I've spent the last hour moving them all back to internal memory, and that seems to fix them, and the phone isn't spontaneously rebooting now either.
Never had that occur before.

Good to know it isn't a problem with the update.
I suspected my issue was probably just that - my issue. Still, it did happen.

I am liking this update. Doze is working great. Not sure if it's the update or an app was optimized for Marshmallow

Then is it best advised to try and ignore this security update if people are trying to achieve root?

Idk if a rollback is possible. I'm keeping mine stock so I'm taking updates, but for those interested in root I would see if rollback is possible before taking any updates.

Can the update be taken with the bloatware disabled?
Phone is running better after update...no idea why, since this appears to be just a security update. Maybe the optimization process after the update cleared out some junk.

Your phone might be defective then because I almost never get below 6 sot. I usually get between 7 and 10 hours. I even got 12 once.
