I can't imagine why not. I'd recommend doing a full wipe/clean install just to be sure.

If you tried rooting and installed xposed that's why I get the same issue when installing xposed nobody has been able to help me fix it though so Uninstaller it is the only fix I've found

Can I install stock rom g935u on G935v, please?
I've been getting the latest G935U firmware from updato. The download speeds are pretty decent, and I'm on the December patch with root and official xposed working fine.

HI There. Its not always easy to tell but how can I determine that I am running the latest firmware/baseband for my tmob note 5.
I currently have N920tuvu1a0ge
as there been an update since.
Yes, just go into setting> aboutphonr and software update and you should get ~3 or 4 updates lol
Unless you're rooted. Then the latest is OJ5 I think
I'm rooted so I can't do that

I had that problem too, along with lots of lag. The reason is because you have the Noble kernel. Flash SkyHigh instead as the Noble kernel is very buggy.

I'll keep this updated with newer versions as they're released. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough to grab the older ones so if anyone would like to donate them to the cause, that would be great.

@iBowToAndroid Does this Stock_Downgrade firmware actually work to downgrade to PC5? https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533100289590563
Yes... it also enabled video calling and wifi hotspot for me. The tethering/hotspot menu setting is not there, but the dropdown notification settings can have the hotspot setting added. Havent tried the video calling feature. Also the dialer codes do not work in the ##DATA# format.

Yes you can downgrade... but is has its pros and cons. It is not the same as the sprint ota. It has its pros and cons. Some of which I mentioned above. I used Odin to flash the file, but had to delete the MD5 extension for Odin to acknowledge it.

Man I didn't even see your post above. Is the battery life improved when going back to it? Ever since PD3 my battery life hasn't been the same.
I haven't charged my phone fully since yesterday, but it certainly hasn't gotten any worse. The icon for LTE has changed to a 4G icon with this downgrade. Thank you for the link uploaded by iBowToAndroid, its great to have hotspot working again.

Its not the firmware that came with the phone originally. It's the first OTA. I downloaded it. It's only the AP. No BL, CP, or CSC. So those will still be from PD3. I installed it via Odin and am setting the phone back up right now. So far everything is working ok. Would be awesome to have the bootloader and everything else that goes with it, but if it works it works!

Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
The link I posted above is legit. I cannot get the PB5 firmware to take, I keep getting bootloops, but the uploader has had success downgrading all but the bootloader.
The PC5 package totally works though. Bootloader and all. I just successfully Odin'ed all 4 tars back to PC5 and will remain on PC5 until Samsung and Sprint can get their heads out of their asses when it comes to the poor battery life introduced with the PD3 update.

Nice! Thanks for the find!
And got a bootloop on the PB5 firmware too. I'm assuming it's a corrupted upload.

The AP, CP, CSC files all flash fine, the BL will not. And you may get bootloops. I haven't seen anyone other than the original uploader get it to boot up properly.

No, if you don't want to root, you can have stock u firmware without root, but you're not going to have WiFi calling or volte without root, at least you had to have root before haven't checked on the new firmware.

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss
Apparently I do not see that update on my phone as of now

The update is for T-Mobile users using the T firmware. You are on the US Unlocked firmware.
I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?
