Don't install camera app from gapps. Stock camera app from this rom works fine.

What is the bug in detail?
Bugs found so far:
Facebook crashing in this release.
Network indicator disappears sometimes from the status bar.
Music player sounds seems to be low [not as good as CM13]
Did a dirty flash over CM13. Working very well. In CM13, I was not able to switch between SIMs for 4g/3g but in this, I am able to do that. Also, light sensor was showing some problems which is not here. Flashlight tile is not visible.

720p works fine but when switching to 1080p, video freezes.

It support dual sim, but can't deactivate the sim....

Yes Dirty flash over fire855 build. No problems at all.
I honestly dont understand how two roms by the same developer can be different in terms of stability. RR is absolutely stable and useable, cant say the same for slimbit rofl. Sorry Dev

Dirty flash over other rom is highly not recommended. If done no reports will be taken.
Guys see this is how it works here.
If u have any issue.
Repro steps and logs. (If not rom source related will try to fix it)
No ot. No feature requests. No xxxxx rom discussion.

Yeah camera is still dead, I'm trying out the uncommitted changes by rashed to see if they fix anything but don't hold your breath
I tried out the new unmerged code for camera, still doesn't work, the camera app opens and stays open but it shows just blackness. I guess a move in the correct direction

Yup tried it on cm 14.1 from 30-th december it's the same,cam opens and just stays on black screen...
But as u say it is a step forward..

Should do, both firmwares should work but I've only tested it on marshmallow, so it'll be nice to see someone flash it on nougat firmware

Yes
It's great that so many are using the new Resurrection Remix Nougat ROM, but it is far from stable. Unmerged changes to the Lineage OS device tree are not finished, you should not hope they will fix anything. I hope that there is more bug reports from this release that find problems.

been using it on my m9 and m8. great clean rom with lots of customization to boot.

I believe that's just how the CM kernel works, you can use kernel adiutor to turn them on but they don't seem to do much, it's probably best to ask someone who knows more though

Niiice, I'm more a fan of AOSP and LOS, but I'm glad to finally see some development on this devices, I would test it but I don't own this device.
However maybe I can help about "double tap to wake" not working. I took a quick look into BoardConfig.mk and you are missing line "TARGET_TAP_TO_WAKE_NODE := /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/knock_on_type" just add the right path to driver, this is used on some devices with that feature but for LOS tho. Maybe it'll work with RR.

I have no idea about data backup because I never did. But I suppose you can do it.

Mobile data works. You need to setup APN by yourself. External SD Card has been fixed now. It will work from next update.

RR was always battery friendly, but i dont test this build due the bugs - i need working headphone and BT
im using latest carbon, dont know about SOT because is my 2nd phone im use it for music in car and navi, but standby is amazing, almost no drop - overnight around 10h it has still same battery level (magisk + greenify + gms doze module). Carbon is extremley smooth and fast rom before using omni but as lagging.

Why don't you test your specific needs? Twrp backup and switch back if it doesn't fullfill your needs
