I bought Tronsmart micro usb cable that supports fast charge (qc 2.0). I used 22 days and they can fast charge, but today they stop fast charge my phone. 4 of them (six) not work. Any idea? Original cable still can fast charge..

Hi all,
I have a couple of micro usb car chargers and when I was using a Navigator app whilst driving somewhere my battery just died despite the charger being plugged in and showing as charging?
I bought another charger off ebay which is a usb car socket with a genuine Samsung micro usb cable. It shows as 1A output and I plugged my phone in to charge at 1% with google maps running, half an hour later it had only gone up to 2%?
What I did previously was plug the 3 pin mains charger into a 240V inverter plugged into the cigaretter lighter socket and that actually charged the phone. Any ideas why the car chargers won't charge it, does anyone know of a car charger that actually will charge the S5?

If your battery goes above the 42°C the Kernell stops charging; the consumption of the phone can be up to 700mAh, so with 1A the charge must increase in about 5% in half an hour. with a 2A charger the kernell will accept another 800mAh as much, so you can fully charge your phone in more than three hours, (whe in a fully use) but always with abattery temperature lower than 42°C
I personally use the Anker Qualcomm 2.0 car charger, no problems, I like how fast it charges even if I am heavily using it (unlike other chargers I have owned)
Excellent, thanks both. I got hold of a 2.1a charger which seems to be doing the job well at the moment. Interesting thing about the battery as I have felt it get very warm at times, not always when charging though.
I bought this [Quick Charge 2.0 Car Charger]CHOE 30W (with Most Powerful QC 2.0 Port) Dual USB Car Charger with 22AWG 3.9FT Micro USB Cable(White)
Use coupon code 88PKZDLL on checkout to save $5.45 making it only $10

I can really recommend this one: Aukey® Kfz Ladegerät 4.8A Dual Port Autoladegerät mini Car Charger, 2.4A+2.4A(4.8A max)dual Ausgänge für iPhone, iPad, Tablets, Smartphone, Navi u.a. USB-Geräte (4.8A dual Port mini Schwarz)
(Can't post the URL because of anti-spam bull****. Just search for that strink on amazon.de)
It's powerfull enough to charge a S5 and a S5 mini for example.
I have a genuine at&t 2.1 AMP car charger for my SGS5 and I never had any problems with it. It also has an extra USB port so you can charge two devices at a time (the 2 amps split to 1 amp for each device).
HI,
I'm using the charger that came with the phone into a wall socket(uch20).
If I use a USB-C cable it charges at around 1100ma for 5 minutes and drops to under 600ma and phone then discharges faster than charging. I have left it overnight and woke up to 7% battery this morning.
If I use a Micro USB cable with a USB-C to Micro USB Charger I get a around 1100ma all the time and the phone charges fine.
I'm using the Sony UCB20 Cable and some Aukey USB-C ones I bought on Amazon.
The Micro USB adapter is a Aukey one and the cable is a Sony UCB16 cable.
I'm also using the Ampere app to check the MA.
Anyone know what the problem is.
Thanks
Hello
I need to replace the usb cable that connects to the original charger that comes along with the phone.
There are cables out there that are sold as original Samsung cables but don't fast charge the phone in 78 minutes from 0% to 100% even if they are connected to the original charger.
So is there a cable that truly fast charges the phone exactly like the original in 78 minutes?
The cable has nothing to do with it. Use a regular functioning USB cable with a Quick Charge 3.0 charger (such as the Samsung charger with the lightning bolt on it, or the Anker Quick Charge series) and the phone negotiates with the charger. The cable is just a medium. I prefer the Anker PowerLine+ cables for their durability; the stock Samsung cables are fragile.

Τhanks a lot socal87. I was thinking the same thing as you but i got worried from negatives reviews in amazon ( saying that the cable they bought wasn't fast charging the phone).
Also in another well known forum, there were comments like the following :
"Samsung plays with the extra pins on the microUSB connector to tell the phone different things - like USB/AC charge, or fast/normal charge."
"My troubleshooting with 7 different cables showed me that the the very new Samsung charger cables that came with non-fast-charging phones did not fast charge when connected to the fast charger adapter portion. It appears that the cable does in fact matter. I tried many combinations of cables and adapters during my testing."
I will buy an Anker cable as you suggested. In another forum i read than indeed the Anker cables do the job right with fast charging. Thanks again.
Of course the cable has to do with the charging of the phone, try charging with a cheap $2 cable from eBay and try yourself.
Best cables (that i use) are from Monoprice, get their Ferrite core one, best cable out there, charges my phone to 90% in around 70-80 minutes with normal charging (no Fast Charging)
Try any original cable from HTC Nokia Samsung Motorola you can find one in repair place ask him for used original one or new...
Τhank you all for your suggestions. I have already ordered an Anker powerline cable from Amazon and i face any problem i ll buy one of those you suggested.
Blitzwolf does be more better distance charge of 1m at Maximum average 2,1-2,4A of 9V/2A or 5V/3A
You can find Samsung original cable in any official service. I have paid 5$ for a 2m long cable and it takes about 1.h20m to charge from 1%
So, from my understanding, the OEM Samsung fast charger for the Galaxy S6 is 5 volts 2 amps. I recently bought an Anker Elite Dual Port wall adapter, which is capable of 5 volts, and up to 2.4 amps if pulled per port.
When I plug in my phone to a standard OEM adapter, it says it is fast charging, and something a long the lines of 1 hour and 30 minutes until fully charged, but when I plug it into my Anker adapter, it says the same amount of time, but a standard charge. Ie not displaying as fast charging, but with fast charging times. With monitoring apps, both pull 1 amps.
Does anyone know what could cause this? Both pull the same but one doesn't say fast charging.
Should have my phone arrive Wednesday from Amazon. Being in the UK I needed to sort a 3 pin plug and so have purchased an Anker 18w fast charger.
Anker Fast Charger, USB Charger 18W USB Wall Charger PowerPort+ 1 for Galaxy S8/S7/S6/Edge/Plus, Note 4/5, LG G4, Sony Xperia XZ, Nexus 6, iPhone and More[Black] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017VXARME/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_.dDvBbXP47Z9E
I have since notices however that the braided cable supplied with the phone is type c to type c.
Do I need to use the supplied cable to get fast charging (I'm which case Anker charger no good) or can I just get any other cable to use with my new charger?
You will not get the 27 Watts the phone is capable of using. You will get 10, 12, or 15 Watts, I'm not sure which. This will get you charged in about 2 hours.
If you want the fastest charge (with caveats listed below) you need a USB PD (power delivery) charger which can only use type C both sides.
Note that the Essential phone doesn't charge at full power the whole time. I usually get about 50% charge in less than half an hour, then it slows as the charge level increases. Zero to 100 in a little under 2 hours. This is great if you need a top up to get thru the day.
