Which rom allows the usage of sound mod? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Been really looking for one

All the ROMs currently allow for sound mods to be installed.
The requirement for most sound mods is not the ROM but actually having a Rooted device with busybox and a custom recovery installed
Good luck!

[Q] ROM Manager

Rom Manager did not work on my rooted 2.2 Captivate. I'm a noob so I need suggestions for installing new Roms and overclocking with setcpu. I know I need a new kernel but I'm not sure where to get them.

[Q] Few Queries after rooting my sensation ..

Hi all
I have flashed custom rom yesterday, this is my first time that i have done unlocking ,rooting and flashing custom rom.
special thanks to -Asskicker- for providing complete
noob guide and rzr86 for providing the link..
Hurray I am successfull for the first time,no issues at all :laugh::good:
So now that i have done i have few queries :
I have ICS flashed and not jelly bean,my question is will jelly bean degrade perfomance of sensation because of lack of required hardware (processer and ram stuff) , If no can some one provie me the link to flash jelly bean
While installing custom rom ,it asked for custom kernel - sebestian,faux123..,stock,...I have selected sebestain FM something..which one is good ,what is the use of it.
After flashing room,at the end it said perform system boot atleast once before flashing another rom.what does this mean and what is sytem boot and how to do it
I have received beats audio along with this custom rom,But i could not find any difference between audio previously (with out beats) and with beats,do we have to buy beats headphones or something for this?
Apart from the superuser access which i can use to remove uncessary apps, there is not much difference in performance/UI..what are the other features with custom rom/rooting.
what are the stuff that i can do to improve performance, everyone says battery lasts longer after rooting, any tips/suggestions/stuff that i can do after rooing

What's the best custom ROM can I install?

I'm planning to tweak my phone with custom ROM and possibly kernel too if there's a noticable difference. Where do you think I should start? I've never installed a custom ROM nor custom kernel on this phone but I've installed a custom/hybrid OS on a blackberry before.
Edit: Just read the sticky that I can't post a question on this forum. And I don't know how to move this topic to Q&A forum. Sorry about that.
I tried all custom roms
Best rom for me is NNE 3.1 N5 port by alexisXda with Noxxx kernel V7
After all my personal test its the best custom rom with AOD and great battery and performance.
Good luck man.

Viper4Android idol 3 and dual speaker setup

So I didnt see any threads about viper on here for our Idol3.
So naturally I tried it and it works great.
with the dual speaker setup I can turn up most of the loudness settings and turn down some bass in the equalizer,This has to be one of the best sounding devices I have ever owned.

Remember you need a rooted device.
Permissive kernal, And set driver to compatible mode.
Also the reg version says upto 7.0 but works on lineage 7.1
P.S. If you need any further help with viper and its settings let me know I have been using it for a long time.
Remember Rooting your device is your choice,Things can always go wrong. Make regular backups, And dont destroy your only device!!!
Just a general question
I just have a general question for you, which do you think, is the best nougat ROM for Idol 3 5.5 ?
There are a couple of ROM's here now, and I am not sure which one to choose, I would go for AOKP, but all the mirrors are dead on Android File Host.
Cheers

You should ask this is the q&a threads. But since its here. Personally I do not like any of the noug roms for this device. Not saying theyre bad. Just my personal preferance is the xperia rom with apex launcher. But it because of my personal taste.
I set my devices up one way and its been like that for years. Other than some extra features all of my devices home screen layouts icons and core mods have been idetical. There are a few noug roms available in the dev section. But you have to read and determine which is best for you and suit your needs.
Everyone uses there devices differently, What works for me may not for you

Well, I think that is the reason why I don´t notice any difference in audio despite I have installed V4A.
I´m on Stock MM Based Rom and Stock Kernel.
Wich kernel I have to use to make V4A works?

Its been a while but I think mine was on stock mm kernel.
I used an app called SeLinuxModeChanger https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524485
Set it to permissive and reboot.
You can use the script for force enforcing to make viper work.

Someone has to fix the awful headphone audio in MIUI ROMs

Yes I know you can make the volume louder by installing the Global ROM and choosing another region but that's not the case.
Most of us already using a China based ROMs like Xiaomi EU Revolution OS and etc.
Getting this out of the way the sound would always have a sort of filtering.
Even installing a Dolby Atmos port you can still hear the sound become flat by the MIUI applied filter.
Even my 2 year old Le 2 has better audio and it's already Dolby Atmos compatible
Yes I can install an AOSP ROM but I like MIUI too.
Also the camera it seems to be working better.
Is there any possible fix for this issue ?
Try masik1.5 rom,, headphones sound very good in this room ,, while installing this in twrp there are three options for audio setting,, select the first one
i recommend to install MiuiEU Rom and Magisk. From magisk install "audio modification module" and Viper FX and everything is perfect
