My S8+ recognizes my SD card and had no problem playing music from it. However often times my files disappear for a moment and only shows music stored on the internal storage. Does anyone else have this problem?

I haven't seen my music missing, but whenever I go back to the music player and press play it plays only the songs on the internal sd. Like I'll be listening to an album, stop, and then when I want to come back later, the music player is showing an a sonfg I have in the internal as the current song. And if I hit next it just starts shuffling all my internal songs. Really annoying. It that makes sense
That sounds similar to my issue. I have my music on my SD card and it will randomly disappear for a moment and only show the songs on the internal storage. If I hit next song or shuffle it will come back though. Not a huge issue but pretty annoying.

Mines Samsung. The free one that I got from them for ordering the S7 Edge. And I just googled. Seems a lot of people are having the same issue
Is it a 10? I have a sundisk and doesnt seem to fit. May just wait for the vr deal n use that one.

I have problem with playing music with sense/manila player. When SD card is removed and music is played from phone memory everything is ok. When SD card is in my phone music stops playing after about 1-2 minutes (even if it is played from phone memory). When I get to player tab circle icon in top left corner starts to rolling. Then I start music. After it stops (icon rolling) it take about 1-2 seconds and music stops also. It happens every time.
I'm using TAEL 3.28011 ROM (none of this rom users noticed this problem), 8GB SD card with FAT32 system on it.
Problem was caused by bad mp3 file(s) on SD card.
ok this is a weird one. I have my music on my external MicroSD. Just today the stock Google Music Player started acting really weird by being choppy and slow and playing some songs but not others. Poweramp wont boot at all, it just flashes the bootsplash then goes back to the app list.
I can browse the MicroSD with File Explorer but i'm still not sure its on the way out or not. Even the phone has trouble detecting it sometimes.
Very weird stuff...
Any ideas?
Try opening up manage apps then find media storage. Force stop then clear data. Then reboot and let your phone rebuild the media libraries.

I copied my mp3's to my SD card of my Droid X and when I played them, several of the songs stopped in the middle of play and the player immediately went to the next song. At first I thought the player was the problem but I tried a few alternative players and the result was the same. Could the issue be with my SD card? Is there an app to check for bad blocks? Thanks.
Your songs may have failed to fully download.
For example.
If your internet connection cuts out half way through downloading a song and you're left with only half of it.

Problem: When listening to Music on Google Play Music Songs often suddenly play muted. Starting the app and listening the music always works fine, the problem occurs at various intervalls after starting to listen. This always happens at the beginning of a new song. The app is showing correctly that the music is playing but I can't hear any music. Skipping to the next track or restarting the Song "fixes" the Problem. Happens during Streaming as well as Songs stored on my Device. Factory reset didnt fix the Problem. Sometimes this happens two Songs in a row, sometimes like 1 out of 10 Songs. Very annoying though if you're riding your bike or if you want to listen to music with friends if you have to skip songs all the time to avoid random akward silence. Didn't have this problem on my old SGS3.
I have this problem occasionally too. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it but it does happen at the beginning of the next song. Just sits there with dead air until I skip to the next one. Very annoying.

I would sometimes have this problem if I was going from a song that is on my device to a song that isn't on my device that was in the cloud. I would skip to the next song and then back and it would work fine, is this similarly what you are experiencing? I do not have a solution just sharing your pain.

nope for me it's all with songs that are on my device... hope someone chimes in with a solution, the only thing I can think of is some of my media files might be in a different format (mp3, mp4, etc) but my understanding was all formats were compatible...

If what you describe is the actual cause of the glitch, you did find a workaround: Make sure each playlist is comprised of either "on device" music or "in the cloud" music, but not both.

Did you ever resolve this, I'm having the same issue on a galaxy note 3, with music stored on my device, every time it moves the next track the song is muted, hitting stop and then play fixes things. Very frustrating.

So I just got my one no more than 3 hours ago, been setting it up and just put my SD card in. Went to play some music and after about 4 seconds Music Enhancer crashes. This just keeps happening until i stop listening it music, even if i'm not in the music app. I've tried deleting the app folder in Android > Data, disabling all download options in settings, then clearing cache on Music Enhancer. After a reboot, it still happens. Has anyone run into this?

I've run into this too, but with my M8 on Sprint. I haven't found any solutions yet, though. Anybody?

Unfortunately I have still not found a solution. I've just disabled all the music enhancer functions which has stopped it, but i'd really like to get the album art downloader working. I just don't understand the issue....
Are you all using SDCards? how much music do you have?
64GB SD here, with about 2,000 songs. Maybe it's being overloaded?

Yea, I'm using an SD card. 32 GB with 14GB of music on it. Not sure the song count, though.
