mha-l29 or other Huawei that has dual SIM with both SIMs 3G or higher - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Just to verify the mha-l29 allows for both SIMs to be 3G or higher? I'm wondering as some countries like Australia shut down their 2G and I would like to get a local SIM for data but also have my roaming SIM active. The Huawei guide online says only 2G for the 2nd sim, but screenshots here state otherwise (sim 1 2g/3g/4g and sim 2 as 2g/3g)

Correct - mine run as 4G on SIM1 and 3G on SIM2 - I use Telstra and Optus... you can also flip between which one has the 4G in settings, etc.

I can confirm, my mha-l29 has one sim on 4G and one on 3G

I had the same problem with my Airtel. I googled the problem.Google something like "deactivate push ads tata docomo" you should come across something.meanwhile in that Sim toolkit dig deeper, there will be option to deactivate the push ads.Alternatively you can also request for a deactivation in tata docomo's site. These popups really freaked me out initially.

Hello everyone, I bought a D6603 and I have a question.

So I got my phone today and I upgraded it to lollipop. I went to at&t store to get a nano sim card and everything went smooth. except for I can't get LTE on my phone and when I go to the Preferred network type. I don't see an LTE option. Sometimes I see H+ but other time I see 4G. Is that LTE for AT&T ?

When you got your sim from AT&T did you use your existing number or get a new number on your account? Did they use the IMEI number on the box? Thanks.

[JIO VOLTE] No Enhanched 4G LTE Mode when SIM2 is Enabled

MODERATORS PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD
I am using Jio Sim in SIM1, and I can use the VOLTE Calling Sevice only when SIM2 is Disabled. When both the SIM Cards are enabled the Enhanched 4G LTE Mode fades away from SIM1 and calls won't connect.
However I can use LTE data independent of Enhanched 4G LTE Mode. Is anyone out there facing this VOLTE problem ? Any solution ?

When 2nd sim (BSNL) is inserted, try changing its preferred network type to 2g and check if 1st sim shows enhanced mode and that the greyed out preferred network is active again.

Ulefone Power 3S in Canada - Where is VoLTE option ?

So I was seduced by this phone, I was hesitating between this one and the Xiaomi Redmi plus. The Redmi was a bit too big to fit well in my belt holster. The thing is, I didn't know that much about network requirements. I thought that if I have LTE, I'm all good, but I need 2G or 3G for calls !!!
I'm in Canada. Zero support for 3G, I then tested a few carriers and Rogers/Fido support the same 2G as my phone, so now I can make calls but I don't have LTE tower from Rogers here that is compatible with my phone (Band 7 only), so I'm stuck in 2G for data. I have full LTE speed with Bell, but no phone calls. I'd rather stay with Bell, but I need to activate VoLTE, the option is not there. I'd like to confirm that I can flash my phone with the patch (ref here https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/themes-apps/enable-volte-flashable-nougat-phone-t3693152). Or should I wait for Oreo which should get to the phone in May ?

pseudo-VoWiFi on any phone

Hi All.
Let's assume I have two SIMs on phone.
SIM1 corresponds to roaming, the carrier supports VoLTE and VoWiFi so I can easily enjoy home pricing for calls and messages as soon as I have WiFi.
SIM2 corresponds to local provider and allows to have access to 4G internet for quite cheap price.
The task is to make SIM1 working using SIM2 internet in the places where WiFi is not available.
This approach sometimes is called as "pseudo-VoWiFi" and works on iPhones and latest Samsung phones with One UI 4.
My question: is it possible to realize such pseudo-VoWiFi on any Android phone? For instance, now I have two network interfaces:

Is there any way to forcely push routes to IMS service to use rmnet0 rather than swlan0 to make VoWiFi working with mobile internet?
Any suggestions/ideas on this?
