Guys,
I believe WM6.1 has new network drivers, does anyone know if its possible to use these on WM6?
What advantages would it have or does having new drivers have?
I don't know if it has any benefit but I'm struggling with an issue regarding wifi connectivity and just wondered if it would be worth trying them to see if they resolve the problem.
Not wanting to flash the WM6.1 roms yet I wondered if the could be posted here for me to try them.
Maybe I'll just have to be patient and wait for 6.1 to settle in

Hello,
what kind of issue is that?
I'm having a problem with the http proxy settings that are being deleted all the time.
I've posted on this forum about this and seems that are other people with the same problem.
If this is your problem, don't bother flashing WM6.1 roms. I've tried almost all of them and none solves the problem.
I have the HTTP Proxy settings problem too, and nothing seems to fix it.. horrible if this simplest thing can't be done I can't use WAP, college proxy, or work proxy.. damn

I don't have that problem. Mine is an issue connecting to access points after the phone has been suspended for a while (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366526 if you are interested).
The proxy problem is fixed in 6.1 I have tested it and it does keep the proxy now. Hurraaaaayyy that was one huge problem for me. Still having some issues connecting to the internet. But a few more atempts and I should have some success.

Yes, I have installed DC1.5 version and it really saves the proxy settings. But it seems that internet explorer and htc weather are not reading this settings!!!
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
I seem to be having the same issue as above. The Proxy settings stay but IE wont use them. Ideas?
No progress..

I been browsing a lot through forums trying to find a solution to the problem, but never have I had success. The issue is Google Talk constantly loses connection, mainly when it is on stand by and/or the screen is on "time out." This started when I started to use Wi-Fi, but I don't know if that is the issue. If anyone knows how to fix this, or if there will be some update by Google on this issue, much thanks to you.
also looking for a solution
This problem has been happening with any ROM I have, it has only started to happen recently, my Wi-Fi used to work flawlessley untill I changed ROM's, updated it's firmware etc etc. Would anyone know of a possible fix to fix this issue? Because it's really bugging me! I have Wi-Fi set to never sleep, and always be on... What am I doing wrong?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Regards,
Dave.
Hi Dave,
Don't expect much from my solution since I am still a noob but this once happened to my device and I installed WiFi Lock from Google Play and enable it. It fixed the issue for me. Hope it will also fix yours.

Thanks for your reply! I've tried what you suggested and sadly didn't work, I did find an app that forces high performance on my phone and that seems to fix the problem though I don't want my phone running Wi-Fi at max power... What happens with the app you suggested, it keeps the Wi-Fi signal, but transferring stops... Weird huh... With the High Performance Widget this doesn't happen. With sense based ROMs the Wi-Fi is working perfectly though.
Dave.
Just a little bump
Settings
Hi,
Check your WiFi policy in Settings, there's an option for this.
Edit: Problem solved by manually editing APN settings to the specified info on Crickets website. I don't know how to close a thread ?
Honestly have no idea what the cause of this issue is. Noticed when I tried to share a picture with my cousin that it never sent about 4 hours later and have since been scratching my head trying to figure out why not. Reset network settings, did the usual troubleshooting but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
