i was using it last year

Nice reveiws
I havent used all of them but did use AOSIP,AICP,Mokee,Xiaomi.eu rom, crdroid.
*AOSIP is good but it was giving me heavy battery drain and heating.
*AICP rocks! but unfortunately the thread has been discontinued. also, the root works but you have to go to magisk settings and enable is manually from there. other than that, great battery and performence.
*crdroid- It is what i am using now, performence is smooth but it laggs when watching vedios on chrome. testing battery life.
*Xiaomi.eu had a great battery life but it felt too laggy after using AICP. also it had heating issues and it was on android L.
*Mokee 5.0 was great in terms of battery and performence. But 6.0 build had battery drain and the sensors are not working. but it offers butter smotth performence!
please post your opinions

Which ROM should I install for best battery life and stability- help

I have now stock COS 12.1YOG4PAS3JL with root, unlock bootloader, Boeffla Kernel and TWRP recovery.
I uninstalled unnecessary google apps, done factory reset, and installed Greenify+Xposed.
But on this ROM I have only 4h SoT, in the night battery falls from 80% to 70% but wakelock detector didn't show anything process draining battery.
Phone have lags, and sometimes soft reboot.
I'm searching for best package(ROM+Kernel) for best battery life and system stability. Can anyone help me?
Don't install XenonHD. While it is fast and smooth, I am encountering random reboots of up to 6 times per day. It also sometimes fails to wakeup properly and reboots instead. I'm still searching for a good rom, just like you.
I'm on the snapshot channel of CM, and everything works just superb. I have 5+hrs of SOT, and I'm happy with that.
Try brokenOS, 6h SOT.
I only manage 4.30hours display on with the same rom as op, being from a nexus 5 I'm having trouble finding that rom
Tried broken os, I couldn't find the option to disable the capacitive buttons yet.

This. If you want good battery life, any 4.4 Rom will do you fine.
Yes, they are right about K.K ROMs but if you must move up Slimsaber 5.1.1 rock solid good battery life and fast and smooth. Than for 6.0.1 DARKOBAS best damn ROM out right now.
And which KK custom ROMs had best battery life and smooth system?
I would recommend SlimKat for best battery life.
I had even 6hour SOT. Probably it isnt a lot, but keep in mind that my phone has a touch screen issues so fix drains my battery a bit more.
Not in any particular order,
Lollipop Rom's- CrDroid 5.1.1 (favourite ) ,sultanxda CAF rom, Dirty Unicorns. TipsyOS ( favourite ) BrokenOS 5.1.1 - enable all the init script options available under setting, , Resurrection ROM.
kitkat- Defiantly better battery life but you probably struck with systemupdateservice bug. I tried all the available fixes but no success.
Gapps- slim
kernel - inbuilt (Do not change it unless Dev specifies ) .You can always tinker with kernel options to suit your needs.
Heavy Battery draining apps: whatsapp, facebook.
Custom roms are already optimized for better experience and sleep like a baby when it is not in use and it doesn't need any battery saving apps.
If you still face any issues with battery drain, use betterbatterystats.apk to find the root cause and fix it or find alternatives.
My setting:
Remove unused apps: email, nfc, live wallpaper picker,..
Alternative- Dual boot patcher (snapshot)
Primary rom with all required apps - home use,
secondary rom without gapps - office use ...(no drain whatsoever )
Hope i had answered your question to some level. Have a nice day.
I use exedus 5.1.1 with AK kernel and loads of changes , most importantly:
under clock to 1420
on demand governor
1420mhz input boost all cores
Suspend Max frequency 729mhz
268mhz under volt to 630mhz ( on my phone)
462mhz gpu undreclock
This has input lag than stock or cm nightlys and 9 hour SOT with Facebook ,WhatsApp and mostly chrome use.
When you want to game just take off the 1420mhz undreclock and its super smoooooooth

WiFi poor signal on Moto Maxx XT1225?

So, I'm running Android 5.0.2 stock (OTA says the phone is up to date, living in Argentina, and the phone being brazilian carrier free).
The problem is, comparing to the first gen Moto E XT1021, and my mom's Samsung Core 2, the WiFi reception is really poor... not only on the loading speeds, but most important, lossing the connection with the net without notifing, so I might be using my PC playing, and emails and messages won't ever reach me. Both the other 2 smartphones works just great, no matter the distance. The Maxx is the one losing connection and low bars.
I read on other thread, that in order to prevent MASSIVE standby battery drain, one must disable mobile data when using WiFi, and viceversa. Is this true? My battery goes down faster than expected, resulting on same autonomy that my Moto E...
Is this because of the android version? Is there any option or tweak I'm overseeing?
Or the Wifi on this device is just as poor as it seems? Which sounds odd, since the low-end Moto E works just great.
Any suggestions on settings and configs will be much appreciated!
Thanks for reading!

That "MASSIVE standby battery drain" is with the Marshmallow version not the Lollipop version you have. Some people have gone back to CM12.1 (Lollipop) or Resurrection Remix Lollipop due to the Marshmallow standby drain.
IF you have such a drain on Lollipop, try installing a custom ROM like CM12.1 or Resurrection Remix Lollipop and/or install "Greenify" app and "hibernate" apps that are running in the background for no good reason.
If you open those apps they will run, but when you close them, then they will go back into hibernation. Many apps run in the background on bootup "just in case" you need them. And they drain battery. There's no reason for a flashlight app to be running in the background. Or a calculator app.
Greenify can show you what apps are running you may not know about and you can "hibernate" them.

Thank you for your answer!
In case of an official release of Marshmellow (not soaked), shall we expect the same battery drain? Guess there is no way to tell until release...
And I believe the battery drain on my device is not app related, but the phone trying all the time to get better wifi and data signal, causing to force the battery... but it's just an assumption. I'll post a screenshot below:

Wifi & mobil network drains battery very fast

Hi.
I've changed my firmware to bacon_firmware_update_2016_1-25_.4.0.1.c7-00011.zip and that drained quite fast than th original one ( unfortunately i can't remember the name of the stock firmware ) then flashed MrSHME_bacon_firmware_update_2016_01_24 which drains even faster. Here is the stats from better battery stats and stock battery settings .
i'm using Resurrection Remix Marshmallow 5.7.4
Any ideas ?
Edit 1 : i installed bacon_firmware_oxygen_update_2016_01_22_.4.0.1.c7-00013 , any other recommendations or how to measure the drain caused by the firmware ?

Try it out..
You may try out the following:
>PARANOID ROM
>SULTAN ROM (CM Based)
>STOCK ROM
Both the customs are very very stable and provide great results in terms of battery performance. Sultan has the ultimate results.
OR
You can use an app called DOZE which will increase your battery life SIGNIFICANTLY. Do allow the the apps like Whatsapp, etc which you want to run always. DOZE apps is like HIBERNATION OR STANDBY for your phone. Best doze app's icon would look like a OWL IN purple colour.

Battery life on Different Android versions

So, I've been a long time user of LOS14 (7.1.1) ,
Performance seems pretty snappy and battery life average ( considering the age of the device )
Quite a while ago, I had given RR6 (8.0) a shot, and to be honest the battery was a nightmare.. And the phone did heat up quite a bit, so I decided to switch back to LOS14.
Stumbled upon XDA after a while and saw Dev on 9 and 10(LOS), was wondering how the battery life is on these versions if it's comparable to 7? Or still a nightmare like the Oreo ROMs.
I've tried a few Custom roms on my Moto G3 X1541(Osprey) and found some(Can't remember them all) did eat battery time.
I've settled on Lineage 16 Android Pie and also been testing Lineage 17 Q10.Both give good battery and smaller footprint than Stock Roms.
With both ROMS you can reclaim some Internal Phone memory by forcing apps to install, where possible,to an External SD card in the Developer mode options.
Android 10 is missing things I like or some things aren't working correctly.Battery notification percentage not working in Notification area.No FM Radio(tried a few others and couldn't find one that works.
Both PIE and Q10 from DroidThunder are working well but PIE wins for me and rocks
http://www.droidthunder.com/info/firmwares/
I'm sticking to PIE as it has everything I need working well including single swipe to clear all recent apps and Back/Recent Button swap which I like as I'm right handed and like my Back button on the right.
Note:I keep 3 Nandroid backups on my SD card so I can load Stock/PIE/Q10(Lineage 17) anytime I want.
Note:When I install a custom ROM from scratch I do a Factory reset before loading and also after it's been loaded just to be safe. This has reduced any problems significantly.

OxygenOS 10 vs Havoc OS 3. Which is better?

As the title says, which one do you guys think is better? For example battery life, features, etc. I tinkered with Havoc OS the other day, but after realising half the custom Havoc settings that were in 2.9 like custom doze were not present, I reflashed 2.9. I was expecting all that was in 2.9 plus more.
Now that OOS 10.0.1 has dropped, I wanted to see what that was like, but didn't want to flash, be disappointed and then have to reflash Havoc and set up each app all over again. I've had issues restoring stable TWRP backups, so I have given up and just start from scratch each time I reflash.
What features from each stand out to you and what SOT and standby drain %/h are you getting from both?
havoc 3.0 is better because new maintainer is skulshady he trying best to provides new updates in every 1/2 week there are some less tweak for now but getting added in new updates you can wait till the base os changes to oos 10 (dont know when)
if you dont want to install app from scratch try migrate app by baltiapps
i didnt check sot & idle drain so i cant say anything about it

How do you install it? I tried and it borked my phone.
Try to install 3.1 latest on 20-01-2020. Seems to be fine Rom. But OTG provision is not seen.
Does havoc os have working, smooth OOS gestures? Only thing stopping me from changing in the past was bad gestures. Main issues for me on 10.3.0 are Bluetooth connectivity, internet disconnects, and poor battery life.

No oos gesture yet but full screen gestures are there currently some minor bug otg doesn't work & display profile changes after every reboot
battery working great but deep sleep is 0% switching to other kernel like blu spark fix this
Just had to switch to OOS 10.3.0 from Havoc OS due to freezing/crashing with Android Auto. Tried all the fixes on the internet, but no luck. Was going to go back to 9.0.6, but decided to try stock and it has been working fine. Too bad, as I really like Havoc with some of the AOSP touches, and the capability to separately adjust notification sounds. Can't understand why OnePlus can't add this feature.

To be honest, other ROMs do have these options, you could try something else
