I was just looking through my app list removing things that I don't use and came across this app:

It translates as "Homestore". My S7 Edge is UK stock but I'm currently using it in Hong Kong, the only thing I can think of, is that it's the Samsung App Store? It has three permissions, phone, contacts and storage and by default had access to change system settings...
Any ideas what it is? It seems to be a system app but of what, I'm not sure
It's Samsung themes

use the following and you will get an updated Samsung App store:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868711
It's certainly not in the UK sim free handset (Samsung) market. I have a CPW sourced sim free unit.
I have installed it from the above attached apk, and it seems to work perfectly.
very good app. The only bad thing is that i can't launch Navigon instead of stardard google Navigator
I changed the contents of my /system/csc/sales_code.dat file to XEU and used market enabler to try some different MCC/MNC codes (Meteor was a good one) and Car Home popped up in mine. (Editing this file does much the same as changing your CSC via the link above, but without wiping your device).
I was about to upload it as well as I hadn't found it before - so just in case, here's my link to it:

Whilst playing around I've now got Asphalt HD and NFS:Shift. Not that I've got any real use for either and they both chew up a lot of space.
On Rotos ROM there ia also an app for that, does someone know where i can find this app for stock ROMs?

I belive its a *# dialer code which wipes your data and changes it (i think)

Worked perfect on the Vzw Tab. Thanks!

Or read my previous post which tells you how to do it without wiping your data.
I am trying to get my hands on a working copy of Media Hub for my T-Mobile tab, does anyone have a working copy or know where i can get one? There is a copy used on the AT&T tab here at the forums, which works great, but that one intails changing some build.prop files and by doing so i no longer have access to the Samsung Apps app and it changes my tab to T849.
Hope sonebody can help me out.

EDIT: no need for the app as i will be keeping the one used for the AT&T tab, i just restored my original build.prop, that fixed my Samsung Apps app and my signature.
Hi, when i bought Gear 2 i setup WatchON to control my air conditioning system, now in WatchON there are only TV and STB... i think the last update (ND8) removed air conditioning from WatchON; is it possible to have old version?
The update was actually in the WatchON application itself. If you go into the Samsung App Store via the Gear Manager app, you should be able to find the update.

I can't see "WatchON" into the Samsung App Store via the Gear Manager app, i can see it only into Gear Manager under MyApps with no options
There are no options for watchon in gear manager, you configure watchon directly on your watch. Are you sure air conditioning is missing when you scroll down in the configuration menu?

The ability for aircon came with WatchON version 1.2.1 http://www.tizenexperts.com/2014/04...-remote-app-now-ready-control-airconditioner/
I'm presuming with resetting your device it's now using an older version of the app.

Hey man, try to roll back the system if possible, it usually helps if it does not work contact support you can also contact with air conditioning servicing compan in my opinion they should know what to do in such cases. The main thing is that the aircon is all right and it's it's just a systemic problem.
Can anyone please share an APK for Activity Zone from S7 or S6 active? Thank you!
From S7 would be better. Is it going to work on regular s7?

Anyone?

I was PMd a file, it doesn't work unfortunately
Activity Zone apk force closes on S6 Active, S7, and S7 Edge. Ive sent that APK to at least 15 people now; zero success (but none was a dev either, and i do not have an S7/S7E to play with).
It seems Samsung must've done some kind of patch so it stays an exclusive.
The error message is as follows:
An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed.
I checked and under my apps to see if it was an easy fix, but no luck. My guess, they hid it somewhere under root access, so it would have the conflict restricting users from downloading the apk. After all it's supposed to be an exclusive for the active/sports versions. Either that or I'm talking out of my ass :silly: :good:
NOTE: This might only apply to the Verizon version of the S9/S9+ (SM-G96xU), but for those of you who have this app, disable it.
It's labeled as "Mobile Services Manager" under Settings > Apps (it does not appear in your app drawer in your launcher).
Previously called DT Ignite (or just Ignite), it can and does install apps without your permission as instructed by your carrier. This is in addition to the apps installed on first boot by ConfigAPK (android.autoinstalls.config.samsung) and is guaranteed to just be bloat.
The package name is com.LogiaGroup.LogiaDeck and was found on my device under /system/carrier/priv-app/IgniteVerizon/IgniteVerizon.apk. Without root, you can't delete this package, but you can disable it, which will prevent it from continuing to do its dirty work.
Thx for the tip

Force Stop, Storage (clear both), Disable...

Hi there. Does anyone know what the app is called for Spectrum Mobile? As far as I know, Spectrum cell service is a relatively new thing (at least here in BFE) so I'll understand if no one is sure. Don't know if it matters or not, but they run off Verizon. Thanks in advance for any advice. I am completely new to any sort of tweaking/customization other than changing some settings here and there. (Basically just being a wimp with a leased phone.) I'm interested in learning all I can, or all I can without voiding the warranty. Lol. Thanks all and sorry if I sound clueless.
Update: still looking on my new phone for possibilities but I did just get on my S7 Edge from Verizon and found Mobile Services Manager using Package Disabler Pro. Wow! Those permissions were ridiculous.
Is it applicable in tmobile as well?
That's why I bought package disabler pro. Eliminates all vzw bloat.
Mobile services manager
I found this app also in the application list on At&t Galaxy S9+, but not in my app drawer. I uninstalled the updates for it and it went from being called mobile services manager to At&t app select. I disabled it and once I did it disappeared completely from my app list all together. It had background data enabled and everything. Sneaky At&t, try to get one iver on me.

I found it just in the regular app list. I dont believe it was in system apps. It should either be under mobile services manager or att app select.

Honestly I got tired of At&t bloatware and wifi calling notification staying on my panel. I flashed the U1 firmware to my phone last night. The AT&t firmware has a serious security issue where if I make a call and press the lock key the phone unlocks itself as soon as the call ends or if I get a call and unlock it for any reason it stays unlocked after the phone call. I use headphones at work for my calls and this leaves it unlocked in my pocket doing all kinds of things. At&t says not an issue just pull your phone out and lock it. I say Im not supposed to have my phone at all and I rely on the answer and end call button on my headphones and need it to stayocked in my pocket. I dont have this issue with the U1 firmware. And it has a data switch in the shortcut pull down menu so no background data period.
I am reading this thread after finding it by Google search.
I am trying to find the source of my battery drain on my Samsung Note 8.
While searching and deleting apps, I stumbled across this unknown thing, and here I am.
Btw...
I'm on T-Mobile.
Be aware of this new bloatware system app name! Mobile Device Manager(formerly known as DT Ignite) has now changed it's name to Verizon App Manager. Don't be fooled, disable this so-called 'system app' ASAP to prevent it from installing unwanted apps (mostly games) onto your phone while eating up your phone's resources and data!
