[Q] FlashTool: Downgrade not working

Hi all,
I'm trying to downgrade my stock Lollipop ROM (23.1.A.1.28) in order to root it afterwards. I'm using FlashTool 0.9.8.15 on Linux, and it seems to work correctly - but the downgrade fails
Here's the log output of FlashTool:
Code:

Opening that FileCommander coming with the ROM I get the info that there's 11.6 GB free on the phone and all 59,4 GB on the SD card. So - how's this??? And (more important): How to fix it?
Thanks for your kind help
Where have you stored the FTF?
Argh, the problem was so easy to solve - I just had to understand that error message - my hard drive simply got filled up when FlashTool tried to unpack the FTF :-/
Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing. I'm using flashtool 0.9.18.6 on windows 8 computer. I keep getting an error prompt stating "processing of loader.sin finished with errors."

Please double check FTF integrity.
If necessary, downlaod a fresh uncorrupted FTF

So I have a Xperia M C1905 nicki.
Just unlocked the bootloader, but got into a bootloop, which I knew was going to happen,
I installed TWRP, and tried to reflash the stock ftf:

And basically nothing happens...
I did a factory reset. After that tried to flash .zip stock 4.3 rom and got the error from TWRP:
E: Error executing updater binary in *insert .zip name here*
Did a bit of research and found that I need to flash the firmware to fix that, and since I can't do that through flashtool for some reason, I wanted to ask if someone has the solution or can help me with this problem (My phone is like a brick with twrp and being able to go in to fastboot/flashmode)?
Thanks for your time spent reading this.

UPDATE
Problem solved
Requirements:
- Make sure you know what to do otherwise leave this post because if you point at me as i brick your phone, i will laugh at you as long YOUR phone is on your hand and not on mine
- Have a Laptop/PC plug it into socket wall
- Flashtool installed
- Xperifirm laters version installed
- Permission to install UNSIGNED DRIVERS
- USB Drivers installed
- Phone battery charged from 75% or more, NO LESS THAN THAT
- USB Cable
- Attention and patience
If you want to flash on your XZ device the NEW ftf file which is 41.2.A.2.199 here are the steps on HOW TO DO IT
1. Open Flashtool
2. Click XperiFirm icon
3. Go to your Mobile model located on Smartphone (2016) and click Xperia XZ Kagura
4. Select the right model number
5. In the middle select the Operator name you want the firmware from and on left side it will show what version is available
6. Once you decided click on the version of the firmware and select Download
7. Wait until the download is done, then also let Flashtool to create the FTF file for you
8. Open My Computer go to C:\Users\(your name)\.flashTool\devices\ and open the folder with your model number (in my case was F83xx)
9. Locate the file 39.fsc, copy it and paste into My Devices, then RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND RENAME IT TO 41.fsc
10. Go Back to the Device folder into your model number and do the same renaming the 39.fsc file to 41.fsc
11. Open Flashtool, select Flashmode and click OK where it pops up the warning
12. On Firmware Selector go where you have the file FTF file and select it
13. Turn off your phone , hold down VOLUME DOWN KEY and plug the cable into your mobile (it will say Device connected in flashmode and a green light you can notice on your led)
14. Click Flash and choose OK if during the flash will pop any warnings (it asks you if you want to continue, so you need to confirm it)
15. Wait until is done, unplug the mobile and turn it on, also wait up to 5 minutes for your mobile to boot as it take longer time having a new OS is like you turn on for the very first time.

It seems that this ftf is broken, it says that there's nothing to flash, what's the size of the ftf ?
You need flash script. (fsc file inside ".flashtool/devices/f83xx)
If you want to flash android 7.1.1 (fw 41) rename 39.fsc to 41.fsc and start flash ftf.
after flashing start maybe seen pop-up say: flash script not contain kernel-cmd... continue?
select "YES"

It works, just you should be a bit more clear as i needed to copy from device folder the 39.fsc and paste into My Device folder then rename it to 41.fsc and after that to go back in Device folder and rename it also to 41.fsc the one who was 39.fsc
Thanks button hit, my regards!

is 2.66 Gb the size and is official launched on Virgin Media UK
I manage to flash it, it was all about to rename a file into .flashtool folder (instead 39.fsc should be 41.fsc in device and my device folders), so the ftf file was not broken
not working with f8132

I have the baseband uknown, IMEI vanished problem and i have read that you must downgrade to ICS before flashing any rom to solve this problem but i can't flash neither ICS or JB. I can flash custom roms from my recovery unfortunately i don't have sim support
you can try custom rom jb based, like seraphic ,

well i flashed seraphic 7 and now despite getting my sim recognized it always tells me that unfortunately android.process.acore has stopped. this can only be stopped if i disable contacts storage which breaks the phone functionality. I had the same outcome with avd rom. It seems also that seraphic depends on the firmware you previously had because it seems it doesn't completely install itself. i ended up having my previous rom with the seraphic reason for no reason.

Well, this topic about Can't flash stock firmware. So, there's no problem! I use an older Sony Mobile flasher by Androxyde Version 0.9.18.5 . So, I flashed with less errors by launching FlashTool.exe (not FlashTool64.exe . FlashTool64.exe can cause some errors when ur pc is 32 bit). Tested with XPERIA E and XPERIA J but works flawlessly! Amazing!. So here is the log on using latest FlashTool 0.9.23.2

What i need to do for flash MM or unlock the bootloader?
You don't need to downgrade to MM to install 8.0 and to unlock your bootloader go to the Sony website and follow the instructions but don't forget to backup your TA partition first you will need to search XDA to see how to do that.
You need to downgrade to MM to backup TA partition thou.
Error is "No flash script".
Did you press no when the prompt come out?
If you download from Xperia firm, you need to redownload it again, then exit, flashtool will ask to run the script or not, press yes.
got the same problem. can anybody help? cant do TA Backup otherwise.

this solution for people trying to get Android 7 worked for me, getting the flash script for MM!
Are you using the last flashtools version (0.9.23.2)? The best firmware to backup your TA keys is 39.0.A.1.250.... The firmware that are you trying to flash is not able to make your TA backup. After that you must unlock the bootloader with flashtools ( the app send you the sony site with tutorial ). After that you should be able to flash the Android 8 images. It's better flash Twrp too... I hope helped you.
