Gear S3 app store doesn't work at all - Samsung Gear S3

Since the new update - march [EU market], I can't open the app store in the Samsung Gear application for my Gear S3. The application connects to the watch and I can see the information about Gear. I can't view or install any apps, which makes this watch pretty useless. It worked before the update. I bought the watch a few days before the update so I haven't made a backup of the apps and watchfaces I installed before the update (not sure if I could install them even with the backup since it'd probably require opening the store). I can't restore them and now I can't install them either.
Opening the store always gives this error on a white screen: {"returnCode":"0","errorCode":"0001","errorMsg":"System Error!-[0001]"}
If I try to open any category in the store (for example Health/Fitness), it says "No apps" instead of the error.
I've tried to fix it by:
- reseting Gear S3
- factory reseting Gear S3
- restarting my phone
- cleaning phone cache
- cleaning cache from Samsung Gear, Gear S Plugin and Samsung Accessory Service apps
- cleaning all data from the 3 apps
- uninstalling and reinstalling the 3 apps
- installing the previous (november) .apk versions of the 3 applications (Samsung Gear 2.2.16101261, Gear S Plugin 2.2.03.16111661 and Samsung Accessory Service 3.1.26_16116)
Information about devices:
- Sony Xperia Z3 (Android 6.0.1, up-to-date software, compatible with Gear S3)
- Samsung Gear S3 (model SM-R770, Tizen 2.3.2.3, software version R770XXU2BQC5)
Help fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

This looks not like Samsung handset...
Maybe try first to verify which device makes "trouble"... handset or gear or both...
Easiest way IMHO...
Connect Samsung device with your SM-R770...
No need to buy Samsng handset... maybe your family or friends or neighbar or closest seller.
NO joke.
Samsung do sometimes """funny""" changes to Software so all previous stuff render useless...
Maybe your Sony is now incompatible with BQC5 Firmware...
Btw.

[Q] S Health and Gear Fit with Galaxy S4 active?

Hello,
I try to get the "S Health" version 3.2 working on my Samsung Galaxy S4 active (GT-I9295) with Android version 4.4.2, because the old version is not supporting my Samsung Gear Fit. I downloaded the health version from:
Update for S Health (3.2.0.0014), Health Service, Group Play (3.0.200)
S Health & Health Service --->
Unpack the zip, Install S Health, Open it (it won't work), Install Health Service and finally re-open S Health.
Click to collapse
So I deactivated the original version on the S4 active (pre-installed) and rebooted the mobile phone. Then I installed the S Health and started it. I got a message that the version needs to be updated. The first time I ignored the message and installed the health service, but the software didn't run (message: "S Health was stopped"). Then I tried again. The message popped up again and I pushed OK. But next was an error message "Product not available (4002)". So I installed the Health Service afterwards. But the same result. S Health is not going to run.
The "fitness with gear" is also not running correct. It is not showing the history and the synchronization also doesn't work.
So please does anyone has a solution to get S Health running on a S4 Active?
I can check in a days time. My Girlfriend is running stock GT - i9295 with gear fit and s health
I think the solution for now if you have an s4 active and want your pedometer stats, go back to a 2.1 level of gear manager.
I think Samsung assumed most of their phones had a more compatible version of s health
Media fire links of gear manager:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/e7h23e12rzesi/Gear_Manager
Uninstalling all the new gear apps from applications, and there are a lot of separate ones now, installing 2.1.14071502, factory resetting gear and reinstalling fitness with gear got me back, but on any relaunch of gear manager attempts to update to the new version. I have an old gear plugin app open in recent apps and can still modify by that...
Samsung really overlooked the s4 active with the new gear manager update.

Hi, this is good news. So there should be a solution. Can you look up what version of "gear fit manager" and "S Health" is installed and also the "Health services"
Thanks

Gear app is also running on my wife's device, but the history is not working right now. You only can see the data of today.
I got the gear fit running with S Health on my S4 mini, but not on my wife's Samsung S4 active and she is not very satisfied with the situation.

You will need to uninstall the old version before installing the new version and even freezing can sometimes create conflict.
You can try Super WizCyan ROM and install working SHealth 3.2 from the add-ons package.

Sorry... my bad, had forgot to update the link to the add-on package which is now updated, the add-on package also has the gear apps from S5 (not tried as yet, but you can give it a try and let me know )
I haven't seen any more recent posts on this. Does anyone know if there have been any new releases from Samsung or a workaround? My wife and I just picked up a pair of the Gear FIts. Her's works great on her S4. My S4 Active still doesn't work. I cannot get the latest version of Gear Fit Manager or the latest version of S Health and the version of Fitness with Gear I have will not sync with my Samsung account to preserve history.
You MUST NOT deactivate or remove old version.
So, uninstall new one, make old version work, than update from Galaxy Apps.

Just uploaded a new version of the super WizCyan ROM with the addon package.
You could give it a try if you would like to. The ROM is a slimmed TouchWiz stock with only basics & include active display & lockscreen notifications. You can get the latest version of shealth + gear manager from the addons package in post#2

Samsung Gear Manager / Accessory Service / Gear S2 Plugin for Oneplus 2 and others

Hi guys,
I just bought a Gear S2 and found out that Gear Manager and the other required software from the Google Play Store are not supported for the OPT.
I found a thread here providing the APKs in order to support the Gear S2 on the OPT, however it does not work for me as it failed when it requires me to download the Gear S2 Plugin.
Used a Samsung S4 to download the required softwares from the Playstore and extracted the APKs.
Hence I'm sharing them here for those who are in the same situation as me.
I have tested the APKs with my OPT and everything works fine.
Compatibility List as of 11 Oct 2015:
Oneplus 2
If you tested other phones that works let me know and I can update this list.
Required APKs:
Samsung Gear
Samsung Accessory Service
Gear S2 Plugin
Enjoy!
Yes finally can attach outside links!
Thank you!! This worked for me for my galaxy note 5!!

Yours is a Samsung. Should be able to download all the required software from the Playstore right?

I have an SM-N9200 on AT&T, and no matter what tried it wouldn't connect. No updates available or anything. Wish I knew what the issue was, but this fixed it.
The watch connected just fine with a note 4, it was very frustrating. Looks like from the reviews on the gear app in the Samsung store I'm not alone.

Great! Glad that it solved your problems.
Thanks for your effort. I tried these apps as well but still getting following error: 'The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again.'
I am on a custom ROM and rooted Note 2.
Do I need to install an official firmware or is there a way around?
Thanks.

I'm totally a newbie in custom rom and rooted stuff but the error seems to point to a unsupported rom or rooted device. I have no rooted device to test if the s2 works with it.
Is anyone having issues connecting to the gear app store within gear manager? I'm getting a white blank screen? Do we need the latest updates Samsung released to the play store? If so can you port them with your Samsung device?

It was blank just like you said couple of hours ago for me too. It works for me now. Try it. I did not do any updates nor was there any updates to apply.
There is updates for both the gear plugin and the gear manager. You won't see the updates if your on a non supported device. That's why someone with a supported device should continue to extract the latest updates and post them in this thread.
This was already posted by me. Reporting this.

Running Samsung Gear S2 with Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2 (sm-g110h)

Last week I have buyed a Samsung Gear S2.
I tryed to install the Gear Manager on my phone Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2 (g110h) to become the gear s2 running.
Because my phone is not supported for Gear Manager (in play store) , I searched the internet for descriptions about how to download and install the necessary apk's directly on my phone.
I have not found any description for my phone but for other phones and so I tried and tried a lot of different apk's in different versions (Gear Manager, Gear Manager Stub, Gear Manager Plugins, ...).
At one time, my Gear S2 has become up and running. But because the displayed time on the gear S2 was not correct, I made a 'reset' on the S2 to try again. But since then I am no more able to become my Gear S2 running ....
Because I have tryed very very many apk's, I can not reproduce the same constallation on which the gear S2 becomes running ....
During my tries, I have also pushed a lot of times the buttons on the gear S2. Can this also have an impact, or is it possible to bring it running with only some button sequences ?
Has anyone an idea or a description which gear manager apk's (and in which order) I have to install on my phone to become the gear S2 running ?
Thanks in advance !
(sorry for my english, I'm a swisss-german ...)
Unfortunately your phone is not supported
Hello,
The proper place to download gear manager is from - apps.samsung.com/gear (go to this website from your smartphone browser)
Once you do go to that website, it will show you that it requires Android 4.4 (KitKat), and recommended RAM of 1.5GBs (which your phone does not have - You phone has only 512MBs of RAM)
Still, you can always try downloading from the above link and see if the gear manager works. (I highly doubt it will work, and even if it does, I doubt it will work perfectly)
Before you download it, uninstall any of the following applications if installed (go to settings->application manager->all apps) -
1) Gear Manager (Or Samsung Gear Manager)
2) Samsung Accessory Service
3) Samsung Accessory System Provider

Gear Fit 2 Won't pair with Galaxy S5 on LineageOS 14.1

Hello,
As it reads in the title I have the Samsung Galaxy SM-G900F with LineageOS 14.1 on it. And I'm trying to pair it with my new Gear Fit 2. I wasn't able to start the Gear Manager App from the PlayStore because of my OS so I edited the build.prop file in my system folder. That helped, but afterwards the Gear Manager App wanted to download the "Gear Fit 2 Plugin" App from the PlayStore which was "not compatible with my device" for some reason. The same thing happened with the Samsung Accessory Manager.
So I downloaded the gear manager stub, as well as Samsung Accessory Manager and Gear Fit Plugin from some link I found on this forum. Now when I try to connect my Gear Fit 2, the Samsung Accessory Manager shuts down and it just trys to connect but it's getting nowhere. I'm so frustrated right now. I even started thinking about switching back to stock firmware on my S5. But I definitely don't want to do that.
Can someone here please help me by explaining what Apps I have to install in what order to get this going? I would be very thankful for the links to those Apps, too.
Thanks,
Pixelloni

I found this article:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/help/samsung-devices-running-cm13-12-1-pair-t3290076
It's for an older version if CM, but should hopefully work for you.
By looking at the results, seems to be an issue with all brands of rooted devices having issues with Gear Manager.

[Root] Temporary fix for Samsung Gear Devices (And probably other Samsung weareables)

This guide is a temporary fix for the connection problems with Samsung Wearables in Pie custom Rom ports from Note FE
Requirements:
Galaxy Wearable: Last version from Play Store is working
Samsung Gear S Plugin (Can you try with the apk for your device but it is important that the application version ends in "N". For example, the version of Gear S Plugin that worked for me is 2.2.03.19032541N). Versions ending in "N" as seen versions are used for phones that are not and do not have Samsung TouchWiz, Samsung experience or One UI Download here
Samsung Accessory service: Download here
AFWall+: Download here
Instructions:
Unistall Galaxy Wear apps (Galaxy Wearable, plugin, accessory service, SASystemProviders, etc).
Unlink device from bluetooth settings
Install the mentioned apps
Open Galaxy Wearable app, configure and link your device (If the device don't link and at stuck in "Finishing pairing", make a factory reset from settings in the watch and try again).
Once linked and configured, run the AFWall + app and configure how it is in the attached screenshot
Enjoy!

I've been trying to do this for a couple of hours but without success. What I noticed was that the Galaxy wearable is always updating the Gear Plug-in and that is probably the reason why the pairing fails. And if I block the internet access to the Galaxy wearable app while initiating the pairing then it refuses to pair... It's a vicious circle... Do you have any ideas how to circumvent this obstacle?

Yes, I get it. But in my case, as I stated earlier, it updated itself even before it started pairing - and it happens every time. You just can't block internet access while connecting to the watch becasue it refuses to pair. And if you grant access to the internet then it updates itself...
Guys has anyone tried and succesfully paired Samsung Galaxy Watch? AFAIK the problem is with only the newer Watched (Active and Watch). So Gear S3 an others may work with this workaround but the newer ones dont.
For me it's worked on LightRom v8.

Ok, after 2 days without problem this morning i have rebooted my phone with watch connected and after reboot i opened gear manager and boooom notification of update is here :crying: , I repeated everything in the guide and I pair the watch, after that i found a little issue due to the timing of the reboot and afwall+ start, in this couple of second gear s plugin check internet before afwall start and the problem is half here again, half because gear can connect to phone but gear manager become unusable without the update of gear s plugin
A temporary fix is to disable in gear manager, gear plugin and Samsung accessory service background data and background usage and close everytime gear manager before a reboot, I try this three times and seems ok

Ok, I don't have the problem but I use the blackdiamond NFE rom and it works fine
I'm using BlackDiamond NFE V3 with Gear S3 Frontier and works great but with a procedure a little different mentioned by OP.
This is the way that worked for me:
1. Clear data from Galaxy Wearable and uninstall Galaxy Wear apps (Gear S plugin, accessory service, SASystemProviders, etc).
2. Unpair device from bluetooth settings.
3. Install the apps provided by OP.
4. Open AFWall+ (IMPORTANT: Second icon at the top corner -> "Block selected") and check the 3 boxes like the screenshot from OP. Apply and activate the firewall.
5. Open Galaxy Wearable app and follow the configuration.
Thank you @thrasher97
