HELP - Bricked Mate 9 B156? - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I wanted to sell my Mate 9 and so I wanted to revert it to stock. But after restoring a backup in TWRP that I made ( it was the oldest one I had), nothing works like it should and my camera stopped working. I just want to revert it to stock with locked bootloader, no matter what it costs. But after restoring, my camera stopped working. And instead of having the huawei bootanimation, it's just saying 'android' in a silver font. I deeply need your help, I also welcome help via skype.
What I've tried so far:
-restoring my oldest backup ( I guess it was the Stock N Backup that I've made)
- dload folder on internal storage and booting into recovery, but getting FAILED message
- entering erecovery and trying to download stock via wifi, but also here: Failed to get update package ( or smth similar to that).
I really need your help, I'm a desperate student from Germany, who's writing his A-Levels next week... And I don't need more stress, so please, I would really appreciate any help!
Regards, Ardian/TouchscreenLover1

This happend to me, too after restoring NAdroid.
Simply restore recovery.img and then downgrade to B138 via FF proxy mehod.

[Q] Huawei U8510 stuck at first boot - Bricked?

Help.
I completely screwed up but do not know where.
Had problems rooting but eventually made it with 'Automatic-Root-Enabler--U8510--v1.1' which worked first time.
Then used rom manager to install HuaweiU8510.zip which did not work so tried U8500_Huaweid.zip.
cache and Delvic cleared, rebooted and red huawei came on screen and there it stayed.
Removed battery, boot into recovery went into firmware update(image in dload but cant remember name) starts step 1 unpacking get yellow triangle with ! and says update failed. also tried again with zip files on sd card but back to red Huawei
Any one got any ideas please as I can get to the sd card but not to the internal memory and not adb/fastboot. So no way of getting a new recovery image into dload

Here in the netherlands there are no huawei phones too bad because on the wmc they announced some pretty good phones ..
But on topic...
Does your phone still start normal?
If not try flashing it back to stock firmware..
Maybe it's a problem with the custom rom...

I do own a galaxy s...
Once i had a similar problem...
It was caused by the filesystem
Samsung uses the rfs system but custom roms prefer ext4 which is better...
When your filesystem isn't compatible with your custom rom than you will have a startup problem so try to figure out if you have to change the filesystem.
can't post links from other sites cause i am a newby to xda forums this is really annoying

[Q] [XOOM 2] Help needed with Safestrap 3.12

Hello,
I have rooted my Xoom 2 ME and installed Safestrap 3.12 as explained here.
Apparently something went wrong after I tried to restore a backup to the Stock ROM Slot. I now have the Blue (instead of Red) Motorola Logo when I boot, followed by error messages telling me the "UI System" and "Configure" Applications have stopped.
Trying to solve the problem, I did a factory reset from the Stock Recovery Boot and now I see that I have lost all my Safestrap Backups and Slots.
So I have no backups to restore and no other Slots than the Stock ROM, which I cannot boot.
What are my options ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
A quick update on this
I'm having help form runandhide05 who is amazingly kind with me, answering all my questions in PM.
I have a Wi-Fi only 8.2 Xoom 2 bought in France so I have flashed this ROM : 0.268.4.MZ607.Retail.en.FR.
I could boot but when I tried to update OTA it failed. It downloads, start updating and fails so I am stuck in 3.2.2.
Also whenever I reach the page of an application in the Android Market, the Android Market quits.
Finally adb doesn't see my device.
I've tried flashing another ROM with the same result : 0.281.8.MZ607.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU
All this is very new to me, I feel like I have learned a lot in 24 ours but I really have no idea were to go to solve this and feel like I am asking a lot to runandhide05 at the moment so if anyone as "qualified" as him had any idea to help it would be amazing.
… again runandhide05, thank you so much for all your help so far.
Problem solved !
The update succeeded when done via the "Motorola Device Manager" on PC.
After that I could use Google Play without it to quit and adb saw my device again.
I re-rooted and re-installed Safestrap with no troubles.

ugh, made a huge booboo...someone please help-Currently Soft Bricked

Hey guys, so i am on here again, posting about a soft brick issue...I can boot in fastboot and i can boot into safestrap, now here is the issue
I recently updated to the latest OTA (the one with the camera fixes and Google drive) and everything was great right? Sooo, I decided to fool around and delete apps and edit things within system and everything was fine except the fact that when i tried to click on the Back up accounts menu in settings it would force close, which in turn made me decide to return to restore a previous back up i made before all the changes i made to the system apps and files.
Now, here's where things went array...When I booted into recovery to whip clean before the back up restore (something not needed but i do for piece of mind) I must have accidentally chosen both system and data...so you likely know that means i deleted the freagin back up i AND the OS that was currently installed...normally that wouldn't be such a big deal because i could use RSDLite to restore back to the original firmware and or the second OTA firmware BUT because the are older, when I begin to through RSD i get a message saying this "downgraded security version/update gpt_main version failed/preflash validation failed for GPT"...i am not totally clear on what the means but I do know that both files available on this site http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ for the Droid Ultra are apparently too out dated in some way that i cannot restore them...so as of now, until the latest OTA is available in the same format as these two files I am stuck with a soft bricked Ultra :crying:
If I am wrong or maybe not doing something right with Houseofmoto someone please shed some light cause as far as I know I did everything right, RSD won't work and that is how i'd normally restore back to stock firmware and I tried Houseofmoto and get the same failure message in fastboot that i do with RSDLite method....

Bricked Huawei CAM L21 or Y6II

So I had just recently rooted my phone using this tutorial rooting-huawei-y6-ii-cam-l21-t3501162 in xda forums.
It was working fine until I did the following: There was a recent update popping up all the time for which I tried many times updating through the Software Update but every time it failed (Don't know what may be the issue, thought this might be due to the root). Then I had this crazy idea to update it forcibly using HiSuite in my PC. Well, it updated successfully but BRICKED my phone (Blank Screen after Boot). Too bad that I didn't backup my phone using TWRP.
And now I cannot restore it to any working state.
I have tried firmware updates using the following Stock ROMs but it fails every time, sometimes it goes to 50% and fails,
C185B141
C464B151
C432B179
Please help if anyone knows how to fix this, I need to restore my phone to any working state.
I've got this problem too
Is your Y6II for Asia?
I've got this problem today and I found this topic before I managed to fix it.
So now, after I solved this problem, I will tell you what I did; Hope that helps.
I downloaded the rom with this code: CAM-L21C10B141 from hwmt.ru
At first, when I tried to update the phone with default software updater. I got same problem as you: It stopped at about 50% with this line : 'failed to check the update package please download the package again'
So I was about to give up and then I tried to open the phone with TWRP, I copied the zip file of the rom and flashed it to the phone using 'install zip' from TWRP.
After that, when the phone reboot, it showed the Huawei logo (A big change for me, since the last time, it stucked at the black screen with the line 'The phone is booting now'.)
So I tried Volume up and Power button. It show EMUI recovery, it will let you choose to reset to factory. I did it and reboot.
Magically, the phone backed to normal state
:good:
Hi all.Need help in changing locations.
If the owners of Huawei CAM-L21 have the opportunity to share oeminfo from this unit - please help. Interested in hw/eu & hw/spcseas and others. I have in the presence of a hw/ru & cmccelectric/cn. This file helps you flash any firmware of any region. I would be grateful)
مرحبا انا اريد ادخال #الرووت . بكن انا خائف من ان يحصل شيئ للهاتف .هل ستمحى بياناتي الشخصية . و ما اضراره

HELP: Need Europe HTC__034 Nougat Backup (FW: 2.17.401.2)

Hello out there!
Upon trying to install HTC music widget I got really f**ked. Random force closes, so I restarted the phone in hope it would be OK, but guess what ... bootloop.
I guess that widget wrote something to the system partition... Nevertheless, tried to reflash the OTA FW + SW with the same issuing number: no success (Error 9)
Decided to unlock bootloader & flash respectively something else ... yet no success. Only thing that I could flash properly is Vanyr Rom, but it's stuck onto a page
saying Decription unsuccessfull. Tried formatting & so on & so forth, with yet no trace of success whatsoever.
If somebody has a TWRP nandroid backup for that FW and is willing to share it, I would be more than thankful (can at least arrange a beer/wine treat ). I have the brick for 2 days only, so it's pretty sad it died so fast and not even because of being rooted ot tampered anyhow, but just a stupid widget...
... Thank you all in advance!
