I'm running unrooted phone (KNOX untripped). I recently upgraded from carrier version 6 to CSC 7 (without home_csc). Question is: how to get newest patchset? What part of ROM I need to update to get it?

Hi I just received the AT&T version of this tablet but I live in the UK so would like to remove the AT&T branding and software stuff and replace it with a more stock experience. And also Lollipop if possible. Is this possible? And will it affect the ability to use LTE?
I should also clarify that although AT&T has apparently rolled out Lolipop on this device, for some reason when I search for an update it tells me that my latest (4.4) is the most recent version. But regardless, I would still like to overwrite it with non-branded firmware if possible.
You can root it if it is still on android 4.4 but so far the bootloader has not been unlocked on the carrier models so you could not install a custom rom.
with root access you can remove the AT&T extras but you would still have a rooted stock touchwiz rom.
Hi, my phone (G930L, Korean Exynos version), is rooted, and currently running a beta version of Nougat. I received a message both on my phone and also Samsung Switch program on my PC, that there was an update available. However, I'm unable to update both from the phone and Samsung Switch, due to being rooted.
Is there anyway I can update to the latest beta without having to flash factory stock firmware?
Thanks!
Sorry but i think you need samsung ofw for that.It won't work if you installed a rom based on touchwiz.
Hi.
I have a G955U Galaxy S8+ AT&T Factory Unlocked on Android 7.0
Baseband Version: G955USQU1AQD9
Android Security Patch Level - April 1, 2017
I no longer live in the US, and currently in the Philippines. Phone works great and the signal is too and all, but I cannot get OTA updates.
Can I just download the firmware file in this thread and flash straight through ODIN, or do I need to follow another guide?
Thanks in advance
You can, however there are specific sequences to follow, so you have to update in firmware released order.
I encountered the same problem so I downloaded odin that worked for Nougat and loaded all version to BRB1 I think it is and then went to Oreo. Currently on CRC5.
Another note, when you are about to hit Oreo you will need to download the odin that works for Oreo. It can be found in the CRC5 thread.
Happy Updating

Is this really necessary?
I want to update to Oreo as well but since I'm AT&T unlocked and not currently using AT&T network I'm stuck in the June software update so I'll have to flash like 7-8 firmware updates and each one being about 2-3 GB to download.
Also, is there any stock Samsung firmware I can download so I can avoid having to manually flash every software update? Or am I just stuck with the AT&T firmware?
Thanks in advance.
I'm also having this problem. Need to flash the updates through ODIN but I can't find every single stock file leading up to BR9 on this site. Do I really have flash them all? Or is there another way?
Hey guys, i've got a few questions.
I just got this new phone:
Model Number: SM-G930T
Android Version: 6.0.1
Baseband Version: G930TUVU4APK4
BUILD NUMBER: MMB29M.G930TUVU4APK1
I am using this phone outside of the US (not on T-Mobile).
I tried to update it manually from the phone settings and it keeps saying "the device is up to date".
I tried also to update it from PC with Samsung smart switch without any success.
Here are the questions:
1. Why am i blocked to updates?
2. Is there any way to update this phone manually? what is the easiest way?
3. Do I have to root the device in order to update the android version?
4. Can I update it directly to the last android version available (8.0.0)? or do i have to to it by steps?
Thank you very much!
I'm no expert, but I suspect flashing the latest firmware with Odin would do the trick. I was able to do that on a T-Mobile phone while abroad, so I expect it should work for you as well.
.I just want to share my experience with the firmwares (G970F).
First im not against with any updates for the phone but I accidentally press the update for the latest which is the ASJA (Philippines Carrier) and i realize it comes with a new bootloader which is S3 and the stock is U1.
Is there anything I can downgrade the bootloader so I can downgrade the complete firmware also? I want the stock firmware the first one (March 2019) because of my own preferences and I just want to stay with it. Any ways to solve this even on the near future? Glad to hear some ideas. Thanks
I have a similar question. After the recent Feb 2020 security patch update, the bootloader has been changed from 3 to 4. I so wish i had not updated. Is there anyway to go back to Android 9 which has BL 3 via Odin? Help would be appreciated, thanks.
im not sure its possible, moving from u4 to u3. the only possible solution o go back to android 9, is to find android 9 firmware with u4 security bit
