Best Video Camera app? ? - Android Apps and Games

I am looking for a really good video camera app that has plenty of controls over as many aspects of the camera as possible. I love my Android devices, and have been an Android user since the days of the G1. As much as possible, I want to stick with Android, but the more I look into a good video camera app, all I can find are some really great apps for iOS. One in particular that I've found is Filmic Pro on iOS. With their latest update, I would be able to shoot in log, various FPS settings, etc. The Filmic Pro app on Android is not as robust and pales in comparison to their iOS counterpart. The closest app I've found with the best controls is Open Camera. It's served me well for the time I've been shooting with it, but I have grown to want more out of it.
I've scoured the interwebs for months now and I haven't found one that I like better than Open Camera, or equivalent to iOS' Filmic Pro. Like the app on iOS, I would be willing to pay $15 for the app if it were in direct comparison. I don't want to make the switch to iOS, but every time I search, I am becoming more and more inclined. Help?

No luck on this? I just tried Cinema 4K, and I do like the smooth control for focus and the flat profile, but still lacking the full features I am looking for which combines both Open Camera and Cinema 4K.

This is kind of the wrong forum for general questions, this is for developers to post their own apps.
I can't direct you to the proper forum, but I'm sure there is? I usually ask questions like, what you have, in my device forum section. For example, if I have a Samsung Galaxy S6, I'll ask it in the Galaxy S6 "General Questions" forum.
Good luck!
On a side note, have you tried MX Camera?

Thank you! I was trying to see if also a developer has created one, or maybe someone would see this post and create something like it as well. I have a Nexus 6P, but I didn't think it would be something relevant to just this phone.
I have tried MX Camera before, and it's a great camera for the average user, but for someone who is looking for a little more control and fine tuning, it's not what I am looking for. Thank you for you input though.

Need a ROM: Feature list

Hi all, I'm ROM-shopping for a Note 3, model SM-N900. I've gone up and down this forum, but I cannot seem to find a suitable ROM. Most ROMs are probably suitable if I could get more information, but in that case I would be posting tens of almost-identical questions to tens of threads. Perhaps someone could spare us that mess, and I'll ask here concisely?
I need a ROM with these features:
* Android 4.x preferably. I really do not like Lollipop, but I'll bite that bullet if I have to
* S-Pen support. Surprisingly few of the Note 3 ROMs mention if they support the S-Pen or not. I mostly use the S-Pen in Anki and LectureNotes.
* HD Voice support
* Hebrew support, as in Hebrew menus and keyboard. This could probably be an add-on after install, but I mention it as I'll need it.
* Call recording. I use the Galaxy Call Recorder on the stock ROM, but I've seen custom ROMs, such as the Omega ROM [1], that people have trouble with call recording.
Thank you! As you can see from the Omega link, I've gone through hundreds of pages or posts looking for the perfect ROM. Now I turn to those who actually know a thing about them! Thanks!
By the way, I do donate to the FOSS software projects that I use, including for Android apps. Any ROM that I wind up settling on will likely see a modest donation. Not financial support, mind you, but a "thank you" for the hard work. I usually donate $10 - $20.

Look in Development section (while we're on it, questions go into Q&A, Development section is only for showing off your work) for the ROM that you might like. Instead of waiting for replies, why not go digging for the one that suits you, try first one out, then another one etc. Works much better than waiting for hours doing nothing.
On a side note, you have completely misunderstood the purpose of xda-developers and the ROMs here. Why? Look in my signature. 3rd link.

Thanks, Someguy. In fact I have gone digging quite a bit, as I show in the OP. I even provide a link that is on page 800+ in a thread, intended to show that I've put real effort into this. But I do understand you, lots of folks want help after putting in no effort at all. I assure you that I'm not one of them!
Can this thread be moved to the Q&A section?

Actually, I am trying to learn. I learn by doing, not by watching Youtube videos. And I'm trying to find the right ROM so that I can learn from it. I wish that I had a spare device to experiment on, in fact today I went to the stalls to find a used Android phone to experiment on but all the affordable devices were Android 2.x, not 4.x. But again, I thank you for making sure that I'm no riffraff and doing your best to keep the forums clean.

Which to buy?

Hi, I'm no stranger to rooting my android phones etc but have had an iPhone for a couple of years now and want to make the change back to Android. My question is which phone(s) do heavy rom'ers and rooters recommend to switch to at this present time? I would like a decent camera as the iphone has one and one that isn't known to drop GPS signal like the Samsung phones have had issues with in the past. Also pretty decent battery life would be nice. My main concern is the developer support with the already mentioned hardware advantages. I want to be able to change my phone to my liking and to be able to use wireless tethering (can't get fast internet where I live) so the most 3rd party developer support is my goal. It used to be that anything Nexus was the way to go for that but they didn't always come with quality hardware. So any recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

[Completed] Best photography smartphone

Hello, guys.
I am going to replace my Xperia Z2 with something. I need new smartphone, which have BEST camera at the market nowadays. Because camera it's the most important thing for me, and I can't carry my A7R II all the time. After my analysis, I am completely stuck and can't make desision.
Who will be better?
iPhone 7 Plus
or
Galaxy S7
or
Xperia XZ.
I want to have OIS (I have shaky hands) and RAW support... Maybe also I need high quality audio and sd card support... Maybe you can propose something else which I didnt include in list?
Galaxy S7 seems to be the best now, but iPhone is attractive for me with his telephoto lens and depth mode. I like Sony's highres sensors, the do good work at good light, but it seems that XZ have lens defect. And Xperia lacks RAW support.... Sony's devs are bastards, but Xperia's design is the best for me....
If I will choose between S7 and 7 Plus, which would have better sharpness and low-light capabilities?
I checked all the comparisons over the internet, and S7 seems to be better, but have Apple got any improvements with software updates?
Thanks.

S7 Pure vs S8 Port vs AOSP, now even Xposed and Note 8 apps

I understand that this is a development forum but since it's strictly about Exynos I posted here.
There has been great work regarding development for this awesome device. I've now tried many options from many different developers ... and to be honest its become a little confusing as to what is best and why. Realizing there is a lot of personal preference:
Can we have some users chime in (even if this thread is moved) especially for newer users what they prefer and more importantly why ... options, speed, battery, ease of use, etc
Should be posted in General Discussion.

Thank you and I understand your opinion but since the majority of Exynos users cone to this forum I can promise it won't have any value of posted there.
It may get moved but I can assure you nobody will even look at it there
It's all good, so try it all. If you don't want to try it, you shouldn't be on xda(mostly the wrong section),just stick to what Samsung gave you originally.

I completely understand why people would ask the question. I simply don't have the time to try all the ROMs. Setting one up to have it the way I like takes ~2 hours. This also doesn't take into account research into the ROM and troubleshooting issues (both user and ROM related) that come up - I need my phone to be useful.
Generally, S7/S7 Edge based ROMs are most stable, S8 and Note 8 ports have newest Samsung features, AOSP is Nexus and Pixel like and can have newest Android features (but lose Samsung features). All of them can have many great features and good performance depending on how they are made.
I personally never understood the hype about ports (generally heavier, less stable and new features kinda gimicky) and AOSP ROMs (less stable, why did I get a Samsung to have it run AOSP?). But that's just my opinion.
The above paragraph is however just a generalisation and it is obviously much more complicated than that. One would need to test and compare individual ROMs on different areas to get a good comparison on what is currently offered by the XDA developers. If anyone has tested multiple, then please post up comparison reviews. I think It would be a very useful guide. As readers can probably tell, I'm probably not the best person for the job.

Question Under forums

Is there going to be under forums for this device? Like help, development, general?
And also is there a way to get apps like snapchat to be seen on the outer screen? Thinking of selfies with main camera
Cheers!
