(SOLVED) Sim not detecting/Insert a valid sim card in the device - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hello there, I am not new to xda but this is my first post. I've a question regarding my M8 Verizon bought from ebay. Its been a year now and everything was going well since one day I accidentally did s-on and locked the bootloader while using HTC ONE M8 Toolkit by Squabbi.
Then I again s-off'd my device using Sunshine method (firewater didn't worked as it was discontinued). So I paid 1600₹ to get my device s-off'd and unlocked bootloader. But since then I am unable to use any Indian sim whether airtel, idea or any other. I tried many possible solutions found on the internet as well as here on xda. Like I flashed firmware (old and new both), flashed radio firmware files old and new both but no luck. Either I restored my device to stock Verizon rom using the RUU provided by Dottat. But I couldn't find any luck and I'm still unable to use my sim card. My phone is unable to detect it. My device doesn't even pops up any notification for sim card now. Please Help.
Is there any solution for this? I'm in a need of this.
Waiting to be helped as soon as possible.

After a lot of tries, finally the sim worked..

We would be very grateful if you share your solution with us, thank you very much!

I disassembled my M8, then replaced the sim reader inside the phone, then removed and reinserted the flex on the board. Then turned on the phone, and edited the system file located inside root/system/customize/ACC/default.xml to change the value of sku_id and region located at last in the file default.xml

No signal after method 2 unlock attempt

Hi,
I bought an O2 sensation and S-OFFed it and tried to unlock it via the thread in the development forum. Method 1 didn't work, so I tried method 2.
Since then, however, I have, regardless of the sim I've tried, received a no signal error. I thought it might still be sim locked, but nowhere does it seem to indicate this, and in Phone Status, it shows my mobile number despite not having any signal.
I tried flashing an RUU to see if that helped, but no dice. I should point out, aside from the carrier lock, it seemed unbranded and didn't require any goldcard use.
Can someone suggest what I can try? This is driving me a bit mental!
tried flashing a new radio?

Just tried that, no luck
I am having the exact same issue. Have you gotten any resolutions yet?
have you tried an o2 pay as you go sim?
also phone o2 and ask if the imei is blacklisted
Im guessing it worked before you messed with it? Where did you get the phone?

Did you try inserting "a SIM card not attached to your current provider (e.g if you have T-mob use an ATT SIM CARD) and turn on your phone?" (credit sanfranx415 post) edit: maybe try a different gsm carrier in the same country you reside.
From what I have read and understand different versions of busybox will work or are compatible for different things (maybe somebody will tell me if that is not accurate).
Here is a video that might help.
Good luck!
Try contacting t mobile and tell them your going overseas for a few months and want to take your phone with you and is there a way to unlock it so it can be used in another country.

When you insert the sim card and power up the phone, as you unlock it it should give you a network lock screen that only lets you use the phone after inputting the unlock code.

[Q] Need to create SIM CARRIER LOCK again...

Hi everyone.
I don't know if its even possible but need to create the SIM CARRIER LOCK again.
When i unlock the bootloader i "erase" the sim carrier lock (guess happen to everyone) and that is awesome but know i need my phone to be carrier lock again.
Don't need that to be forever, i like it unlocked . If that is a way to fake it it's ok but need to be hidden and need to persist after reboot.
I know it's strange but i really need it... I already flash my nandroid backup from the stock rom, flash a stock recovery and lock the bootloader, still unlocked!
Anyone knows how to do it?
Thanks!
(And sorry for my bad English)

Neither do i think its possible. sorry.
By Sim carrier lock, do you want to relock your boot loader or do you want to restrict your phone to using the same Sim as it came with?

Well there is a way but idk if its works use J-Tag or Riff-Box it will make your phone fully as it was came in the box. My friend used it on his HTC Wildfire S and he made the phone back to factory defaults i mean the bootloader, the software it was fully restored and the Sim Branding was also restoted!

Checking whether bootloader is locked, and unlocking it?

Hello,
I've searched through xda and other websites but couldn't find a proper answer -- my apologies if this was already asked and answered in an existing thread.
I have purchased a S6 from Amazon, but the device is branded with Swisscom, with an awful boot logo and sound, and a few specific apps.
I'm waiting for a nano sim, so for now I don't know if the phone is also simlocked.
I intend anyway to install custom roms, so I don't care much about this, however I can't find out whether the bootloader is locked or not (in which case, I'll have to send it back to Amazon I guess).
Can someone assist with this? The device is a SM-920F, I made the OTA update to 5.1.1 upon powering it (which might have been a bad idea actually, from what I read later..). Not sure what the bootloader and rom exact versions are, but I will add them to the post if necessary.
Thanks in advance!

Yes bootloader is unlocked. As far as which firmware you can use, you'll have to wait til you find out if its an international unlocked G920F. If so, you have many firmwares to choose from, just Odin and boot. Then recovery and factory reset and your CSC codes will all be lined up (that's just what I do) and happy flashing.
Thanks for the feedback.
Just got the nanosim, which registered just fine on Orange France, so the device appears to be unlocked and operational.
I'll proceed with rooting etc. in the coming days.
Cheers

Hi,
I do not know if same pb...
Phone is working fine on Lollipop on european Gsm/LTE (sometimes going back to cdma by itself, a bit boring), and is asking for SIM pin number.
When going to marshmallow (by RUU or by OTA) the sim is deribed to be absent or invadid, and It did ask for the SIM pin number
I did not find any clue...
regards
After a lot of tries, it finally worked. And the sim is now detected. Thanks to Me.

You can search on google for SKU LIST XDA. It will show you the list for all regions.
