Something Weird Happend to SM-G920F - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys yesterday i downgrade my S6 from official nougat 7.0 to 6.0,i installed S8 browser apk without problems, also weather apk and weather forecast from S8(those has stopped working) then i downloaded ota 7.0 and right after that i was able to imstall clock apk latest, gallery apk latest, cloud email, but after i run device maintenance i was not able to install any more apk from S8,before that eveeything goes without conflicts, now i can't install the same apk's i could just before that, maybe the conflict that happends is from smartmanager, this is weird
Also i installed Hello Bixby and TouchWizz 6.0.77 wuthout conflicts right after ota from 6.0.1 to 7.0

Create a shortcut of the apks you want to install on the main screen, disable any lockscreen security and reboot. The second it is back on quickly unlock and let the icons load on the main screen and quickly press the apk you want to install. This avoids the package name confliction.
This also helps thanks to Kyle Edge from Google Plus

Can u tell me how to downgrade from nougat to mm g920f

Can u share files to downgrade

Hi there
What risks will I have installing it this way?
Also how do u use the app? Do I download the full file or the OTA? How do I then install it?
Thanks a lot!

Use The app to download the required firmware. I should be in zip format.
Unzip it and move the update.app file into dload folder created in your root directory.
Turn off your phone
Hold Power button, volume up and volume down all at once.
Once it starts to boot up, release Power button but continue holding volume up and volume down buttons.
An update screen will now display and commence the flashing process.
Or use this method
Copy the Update.app package you extracted in the first step to the newly-created dload folder.
Enter *#*#2846579#*#* in your phone’s dialer.
In the menu that pops up, go to Software Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade and confirm installation of the new update.

1. In the menu "Close application after lock screen" and select "Close all" but it does not work. Regular phone notice me for some applications that still work.
2. Option "Battery" "Power saving mode" no matter switch ON or OFF, notification of that always shows on screen.
After update to Android 7.0, i made factory reset.

Help! Inverted X axis + sw rev. fail

Hello guys I need some help I have looked all over and don't know what else to do.
For me the problem started when I tried to install a new custom rom, I was running lollipop and went for the marshmallow version of the rom. As the developer indicated I updated the bootloader / Modem to 6.0.1 and TWRP to the latest version. The install went perfect except that when I finished installing my screen was inverted over the X axis. ( I think I installed the edge version on my flat SM-G920I phone) By the way for some reason my phone was showing model number SM-G925F from the time I rooted it a while ago. That is what threw me off.
Any ways I have tried *#2663# with no luck and also Samsung Info app to use the secret codes and the *#2663# is no there so that doesn't work I think that code doesn't work on 6.0.1 , My next option was to downgrade to 5.1.1 and I get SW REV check fail.
So I need some help to either get my screen back to normal on 6.0.1 or to downgrade to 5.1.1
THanks for the help!

Download a firmware and flash it with odin
Try downloading Shortcut Master (lite) from the play store. It may give you access to the 2663 code. Otherwise, as above.

Galaxy s7 / sm-g9300 (open china) can't find any rom !!

Hi all,
I bought Galaxy S7 Snapdragon SM-G9300 model. But when i opened and setup the phone, i couldn't see APPS button and i can't make any firmware update in settings !!
I have 2 years warranty and i can't root the phone. So, is there any official way to make this phone a normal S7 !?
I need your advices. Thanks
You could try flashing firmware with Odin, it doesn't require root and won't affect warranty. http://updato.com has firmware files for various models and countries, as well as a flashing guide
You can root the phone and method is in a chinese website. I can show you because i`m chinese. And if you want to update you can use Odin to flash newest ROM.

Since the j7 prime never recieved any bootloader upgrades it is possible to downgrade. I would suggest upgrading to oreo however,or maybe installing android 10 custom roms. anyway, to install stock 7/8 go to this link and enter your device model and country and download the latest stock firmware for you. then download odin . once you have both downloaded, unzip both of them, and open up odin. When you get you should see ap, bl, cp,csc . press the 4 buttons mentioned before and go to where you extracted the stock firmware, and you can select the appropriate file. Then boot your device to download mode by holding volume down, power and home button at the same time for 5-10 seconds. press continue. Then connect your phone to your pc, and press start in odin.

oreo is the latest official firmware recieved by this phone. There is no official android 10 rom for this phone. Yes you will likely lose all your data.

You can flash firmware of any county, since is for the exact same model you have (ex: SM-G610) there's no problem. But keep in mind some have bootlogo/apps from operator, and/or extra functionality s/bloatwares.
