can someone provide me with calendar storage and calendar apk from EMUI 5, android 7 - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

My calendar app wasn't working at all, nor Google calendar. I deleted the "calendar storage" and "calendar" using titanium backup and then I lost the backups.
Can someone help a comrade with the original "calendar storage" and "calendar" apks so I can reinstall them on my EMUI 5 rooted nougat?
Thanks!

Here is calendar storage. I don't have the stock calendar anymore because I don't use it either.
Use Google calendar or blackberry calendar, both great.

Thanks,
I got an error on the phone while installing the apk, then I tried to use adb and I got this?
adb install Calendar_Storage_com.android.providers.calendar.apk
Failed to install Calendar_Storage_com.android.providers.calendar.apk: Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES: Failed to collect certificates from /data/app/vmdl253604535.tmp/base.apk: /data/ap
p/vmdl253604535.tmp/base.apk: File res/drawable-xhdpi-v4/app_icon.png in manifest does not exist]
By any chance do you know how to install this app?

If you're rooted, just drop it on the system/priv-app folder using a file manager. Make sure to change the permissions on it to allow all r/w and restart.
Of that doesn't do it, let me know and I'll try to hunt the specific folder it's located.

HTC Facebook sync fix?

ok I know I am not the brightest bulb here but I cant seem to get facebook sync to work anymore... I have removed a good handful of apps from the system but left the facebook ones alone. I have even tried to repush them back with no luck. and yes I have wiped the phone a few times with no change.
does anyone know what files are required for it to actually work?

You have to push this into the system/app folder while in recovery with the system folder mounted.

I'm not sure where you stored the friendstream.apk but i'm going to assume root of your c drive.
You have to boot your phone into recovery mode and then go to partitions and mount /system and then on your computer in the command line prompt type
adb push c:\FriendStream.apk /system/app/
Does anyone have the Sense Facebook apk (and odex, if it's needed)? I removed it and can't seem to find it posted anywhere.

Calendar is gone

Hello,
I recently rooted my Samsung Charge using 0602_charge_novoodo.zip, CWM and Odin. I then applied GummyCharged1.8.1.zip.
The default calendar app is no longer in the list of "scrolling" apps. When I go to "settings --> manage applications", I do see it there (listed as 8kb), however, I just can't do anything with it.
Can I just restore a link somehow? Any advice is appreciated.
Hopefully this makes sense, I'm not too good w/ the lingo.
Thanks.

Use root explorer or the like to peek inside the ROM file zip on your sdcard. You should be able to install it or copy it over to /system/app folder.

I found "Calendar.apk" and moved it to the /system/apps folder. I know see CALENDAR in the list of applications but when I try to create an event it just loads and loads. I noticed the drop down where one selects what calendar to post to when creating an event is blank (I can't select a calendar). Any ideas?
Thx

I would download gummycharged 1.8.5 and flash the rom again. If you still have issues I would wipe and then install gummy.

I believe Gummy removes the stock calendar. Many other people are having the same issue and can not get the stock calendar back.

[App]GMail from Android 4.2

This is a leaked version from Android 4.2
There are new features and seems to be working on Android 4.0+
Enjoy! Not my work, I take no credit, just passing it along
Hows everyone liking it? Swipe to delete is great! Any bugs out there?

Installation Option 2:
The Gmail 4.2 APK is signed by Google, but with a different key than the one in the Play Store (we checked the signatures - they differ). One is probably the test key and the other the production key. For this reason, you can't simply install it as an update and therefore need to be rooted with the ability to mount the /system directory for writing in order to remove the existing Gmail APK.
OK, let's get down to it. You'll probably need ADB installed on your computer (here's an easy way that doesn't require downloading the Android SDK). There is a chance that this might work without ADB by just removing the APKs mentioned below and installing the new one, but it didn't seem to work reliably for everyone. This should, though:
1. Download Gmail 4.2 from one of the mirrors above.
2. Rename it to Gmail2.apk.
3. Make a Nandroid backup in case something goes wrong (this is always a good thing to do before messing with your device).
4. Delete (or move if you want to save the APKs) all other versions of Gmail. Usually there are 2 or 3 copies. One will be in /system/app (that's the original Gmail that was pre-installed on the device) and there may be a few in /data/app (these are the updates installed from the Play Store). They'll be called "Gmail.apk," or "com.google.android.gm-[number].apk," An easy way to tell is to look for the Gmail icon.
5. You may need to delete the .odex files matching the APKs in step 4 too, if you have them. Neither I nor Artem had to do this, but there are many different ROMs out there, and we're trying to cover all bases. Ignore this step and only come back to it if something doesn't work later.
6. Reboot. Once you do, you should have no Gmail as far as Android is concerned.
7. You can try to install the Gmail 4.2 APK you downloaded at this point by tapping it in your favorite file explorer (move the APK to your device first, of course). If that doesn't work, or if you prefer ADB, fire up a command line and type adb install Gmail2.apk.
If you get an error message, you probably didn't delete all copies of Gmail. If you don't feel like playing with ADB for Step 7, I've also gotten it to work by just copying the APK to /data/app, but that's not as fool proof as "ADB install".

great, did the same for me, so i used titanium to un-install gmail and then tried to install it, still get an error. Now ti is not restoring my gmail.
Uninstall Gmail with TB.
REBOOT.
Install 4.2 Gmail
I had that same error at first too. You have to Reboot after uninstalling with TB before you install the new one

I personally used root explorer and changed the original gmail apk to Gmail2.bak (yours may either be in system/app or data/app) mine was in data/app because im using AOSP, for stock touchwiz it might be in system/app. For AOSP its probably going to be named com.gmail.apk or something along the lines of that. Anyways after you delete/rename your original one move the 4.2 Gmail2.apk to system/app, set the permissions and reboot. It MUST be in system/app and you have to set the permissions and reboot for it to work

Contacts Storage Uninstalled - Please Help! (Android 4.0.4 - Allview P5 Mini)

Hi everyone,
I ask your opinions / ideas on the next problem with Android 4.0.4 on AllViewP5 Mini:
Willing to work better, I installed the ExDailer and Go Sms Pro to get rid of stock applications that create so many problems.
So it was a good idea, the applications do very well.
Then I came with a bad idea and that is to uninstall stock applications, namely: Contacts_4.5.1.apk and Messaging_4.4.a.apk.
I used EsFile Explorer, I`v created backup and I`v uninstalled them.
The phone worked very well, except for an error that popped; was something about: android.process.acore
Then I got the worst possible idea, namely to remove Contact Storage_4.5.a.apk.
Since then all contacts were killed, The phone does not read any contact.
I tried to revive the system applications with EsFile Explorer, but it did not work. says "failed to install"
I've copied in system / app, but the system still does not load them after reboot.
I tried to sign the apps again with "Tickle My Android", but it did not work either.
Flashing it is a good solution, but I would need a ROM, plus CWM installed, which am not quite familiar.
Does anyone have any ideas?
PLEASE HELP!
FIXED
The system loads stock apps only if they have a specific name.
In my case I had to rename the apps installed in /system/app as:
Contacts.apk
ContactsProvider.apk
Mms.apk
Hi, I uninstalled mms.apk, but without any backup. Please sent me the Mms.apk at [email protected] . I really need it.
Thanks

Hey dude, I followed your solution, found a gz file which contained the Contacts provider app, extracted it, and pushed it to the system/app folder (Using root explorer). Then, I tried to install it from there - but for nothing --> It says "application not Installed". Tried to reboot, nothing.
Any idea?

Calendar storage missing

Hi guys!
I did a little mistake today, I was in titanium Backup and deleted something related to the calendar. The only problem is that I didn't back the file up (I actually thought I was deleted the stock calendar app). Now my google calendar won't work because it is saying that the calendar storage is not turned on. Could anyone make a backup of his file and send it to me please? I would love to get my calendar working again.
Thanks a lot guys!
Edit: I think the file that you guys need to send me is the one just under the stock calendar app (I think). Thanks a lot again!

I've attached a TitaniumBackup copy of why I believe you're looking for. You didn't specify what firmware you're on but this is from C185B320, may or may not work for you but worth a try I'm sure. Extract the 3 files from the zip into Titanium's backup directory (default is sdcard/titaniumbackup/) and try restore with that.
Fyi, in future you may rather want to freeze apps before uninstalling them to test how it behaves before you take the plunge of uninstalling
