unresponsive screen after flash/conversion - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My touch screen doesn't work anymore after I changed my oeminfo + try to flash different FW. The phone doesn't boot anymore, still I can flash it with fastoot. I flashed stock recovery + Twrp, I can boot them but the touch screen doesn't work anymore...
Last FW I flashed was Nougat...

Hello all,
I have this exact problem. Can someone please help ?
Edit : Just to clarify.
I recently got an update OTA L29C432B330. I was surprised since I haven't seen this number anywhere. So I decided to downgrade my phone to FW L29C432B1912 following some recommendations .
During the process I had to copy dload folder with an update.app file to my SD card and to reboot using volume keys.
Since then I have the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted screen" and right after I get the "Huawei eRecovery" screen. But remember, my screen is unresponsive.
I am able to access fastboot and eRecovery
I can flash TWRP or Stock recovery
BUT
I can't go through TRWP since the screen won't respond
I can't choose any wifi in eRecovery to download a recovery
I tried almost everything and I looked many guides but none mention the unresponsive screen and I don't know how to access the sd card to put any dload folder.
I tried SRKToolHuawei / DC Phoenix / rayglobe_knife and used those updates to extract the files :
L29C432B180
L29C432B192
L29C432B120
None seems to work.
btw my phone version is NXT-DL00
Hope someone can give me some advice.

me too what to do you found a solution i was on b581 and flash wrong firmware with dc flasher

No answer till now. I hope some dev could help

I'm having same problem, did you guys get any solution?
douyi

6 months later I finally found a solution. It took me a while because I had to find a trick to access the bootloader screen.
What I learned :
- If you have acces to the bootloader then can use tools (like skrtools) and fastboot commands
- if you have tried everything before and it doesn't work then you have use DC Phoenix.
Hope this helps you.

[Q] HUAWEI G6 -L22 (Root, roms, bugs....) general thread

Don't know if this is a good place to post but after days of searching various threads and forums
I decided to make a general HUAWEI G6 thread to help myself and others!
So a friend gave me this phone and I know very little about its history, only that it was rooted.
Also on the battery it says sample, not sure if that changes anything. It's all functional.
Bugs that I have found:
1) Screen doesn't always wake after pressing power button, but the keys do. Installed gravity app, same problem, so it's not the button.
2) Wifi keeps connecting and disconnecting.
3)Major battery drain (maybe after I rooted again and turned on mobile data) lasts about 6hours even when idle.
So I wanted to flash a new rom.
First I rooted the phone with RootGenius and it gave me a message prior to rooting that the phone is rooted. Since I couldn't use some
apps that required root I did a Quick root and gained root and King User was installed.
Second, tried to find L-22 firmware. I found only G6 L-11 and G6 L-33, so I wonder are they compatible?
Third, tried to flash CWM recovery but when rebooting into recovery I always get stock android recovery.
And, when looking in Rom manager, under Recovery Setup, under Recovery Already Installed I get CWM Recovery and
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP). This one baffles me.
Fourth, do I have to unlock my bootloader and how? (do I need a code or is there a faster way?)
I tried installing L11 firmware downloaded from Huawei support by enetering stock recovery but the instalation
aborted and I got a message: update packages ext name error.
And this that I noticed:
Power button + up - enter recovery
Power button + down - bootloader (but my phone always gets stuck on the logo and I have to wait for the battery do die)
So I hope that somebody will be able to help and make this thread useful for others.
How to flash, unlock, which rom is compatible and so on...
I see lots of small threads regarding this phone but none of them are helpful.
This is a great phone and I would love to be able to use it.
So I guess I'll take this in little steps.
Can somebody tell me if this is normal? (attachment included)
I charged my phone all night, went to work, listened to about 45 min
of music, used about 10 minutes of reddit is fun app, got an occasional
text or call.
Mind you that I have uninstalled all bloatware, stock apps that I don't use,
most of google services, run a black background, use only 3g (had to install Xposed
and Intelli3g to achieve that). There were approx 150 apps, now maybe 60 that came with
the system. I think that I disabled almost everything I could in order to preserve the battery.
Is it maybe that the battery is weak? Phone was used before and I don't know to what extent,
but I somehow doubt that it could be used so much to wear it this much. Since it is rather new
on the market.
I would be ever so grateful if anyone could put their 2 cents, this is my first better phone and I would
hate to have to give up on it.

Hello !
When your device enter in bootloader mode , is the same like " phone always gets stuck on the logo " - so right now your device is in bootloader mode !
You can acces device only with fastboot commands and NOT with adb commands !
You can put your device in bootloader mode : manually ( by pressing combo key ) or by this command : adb reboot bootloader
You can reboot device from bootloader mode : manually ( press & keep power button more than 15 sec. ) or by this command : sudo fastboot reboot ( for linux ) or fastboot reboot ( Win ) !
It seems that your device still have an locked bootloader because you are not able to reboot your device in CWM/TWRP mode , after you already installed one of them !
Flash custom recovery : sudo fastboot flash recovery twrp-recovery.img
Reboot device : sudo fastboot reboot
Reboot your device in TWRP recovery : adb reboot recovery
Now if your device boot into stock recovery, it seems that you have a device with a locked bootloader .
To unlock your device bootloader you should search on Huawei support if your device is able to be unlocked .
Best regards !
Thanks for replying! I'll try and follow what you said.
Thank you!

Hi,
I rooted my Huawei G6-L22 using KingoRoot. I'm able to access as su from ADB.
I succeed to mount /system but any file that I put here, gets removed after phone reboot.
I tried to do unroot with KingoRoot but it didn't work.
Android Version: 4.3
Build Number: G6-L22V100R001C649B138
Is there any explanation to this problem?
Thank you.

Honor 5C Soft Brick / Hard Brick HELP??!!??

Hi, well it looks like i have probably hard bricked my phone. After updating to nougat i decided to do afresh clean install. I wanted my phone to as if i had just bought it and came with nougat/emui 5 installed. So i did a factory reset from within the settings menu. But then i thought i would completely erase everything and start from the latest build before nougat, so emui 4.1.2/ marshmallow. So after wiping all the partitions in twrp and then doing a volume up + power to do complete factory wipe followed by using the three button method to install the B130 UPDATE.APP in dload folder on my sdcard, all worked as expected. The update completed at 100% and then rebooted. So there i am waiting for my phone to boot to start the setup process as i have done dozens of times before...BUT...my phone will not boot to the initial setup wizard. It just stays stuck on the Honor logo pulsing animation for ever and ever and ever!!!!!!
So i do the volume up + power button to get to stock recovery and do factory wipe and cache wipe as well. It works as expected so i reboot and once again use the 3 button method to install the update.app on my sdcard. That works as expected and at 100% says its succeeded and reboots. Once again i wait for it to boot to the initial setup wizard but....ALAS...it stays on that DAMN pulsing Honor logo. Ive tried rebooting it several times, redoing the factory wipe and install several times, but nothing. Ive gone into fastboot mode (volume down + power) to try and flash the boot.img and system.img ive extracted from update.app but get the error message -- remote: command failed -- and the same if i try to unlock bootloader. Obviously its not going to work because my bootloader isnt unlocked and nor can i got in to developer settings to enable oem unlock and turn USB debugging on because my phone wont boot past that bloody honor logo.
The only thing i havent done yet is to use eRecovery but i dont have broadband and i doesnt seem to work over public wifi! So i will go to my friends tomorrow and use their broadband and hopefullly eRecovery will download/restore the latest firmware. The only other thing i can think of is to download the original nem-l51c432B102 that came with my phone when bought, extract the update.app file and replace the B130 i have on my sdcard dload folder at present.
Sorry for such a long post but i wanted to expalin evrything in detail to hopefully resolve my problem without going backwards and forwards with questions and answers and taking for ever.
So ANYONE and EVERYONE who managed to read the whole post, if you have even the slightest idea of how to get my phone working, please oh please share it with me. Also my phone is still under warranty so if i needed to send it to a huawei centre to get it fixed would they do it and do it for free??? because eseentialy all i did was a factory wipe/reset and install a frmware and it goes KAPUT!! thats not my fault right????!!???
Thank you to one and all for any wisdom you can share.
please....please.......help???
So sorry for my original long post people, i simply wanted to give as much detail and info as possible because being vague doesnt help anyone. It seems that might have worked against me.
Please, please any suggestions would be appreciated to the N'th degree! I have tried everything i can think of and i am truly desperate now. I dont understand why i cant get it to work...
I can go into stock recovery and wipe the cach and do factory reset and that works fine, no errors.
I can hold the 3 buttons down to install the firmware package(ive got update.app from B130 build) and that works fine, gets to 100% and says 'success' and then reboots, with no errors.
But either way the phone refuses to boot past the honor logo boot animation and ive left it for hours hoping, praying, it will work after the 32nd time...
I can access fastboot but that is useless because my bootloader is not unlocked and i cant get to developer options to enable 'usb debugging' and 'oem unlock'. So i just get error message 'remote: Command Failed' with any command i type.
But thats madness, i cant comprehend why it wont boot because everything seems to work!?!
There has to be a way to get my device functioning again.
I am pulling my hair out, i am at a complete loss, it doesn't make sense. PLEASE ANYONE ..... please help....
Thanks HONOR-able enthusiasts for any help, no matter how small!

Help please!! :(

I was trying to root my Huawei Mate 9 using SuperU and TWRP, i got TWRP to work but when I put SuperU on the phone I couldn't find it (being first time ever rooting a phone) and somehow I came to the conclusion to go to wipe and wipe, i did that and restarted my phone and it was blank, it fully started up but only the bottom buttons were showing and if i changed the volume that would show but noithing else was there couldnt do anything but turn it on and off and change the volume, so now I'm trying to flash a firmware onto my phone so i can at least use it becasue I need it and nothing is working, ive put a update.app onto a sd card and tried using that and just I don't know what to do, I can load bootloader and get into TWRP and I can get into eRecovery but when I try download and recovery it just spits out an error saying 'getting package info failed'
Please help I'm not sure what other infomatiuon you need so just reply with anything and I'll reply right away thank you :c

You can start over by flashing the full update.zip.
What exactly did you wipe?
Anyway, you can flash back stock firmware using: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108

HomTom HT50 root problem, unavilable fastboot...

Heloo,
I have this device and I have trying to root it for a whole month .....
It is HomTom HT50
3gb RAM
mt 6737
Android 7.0
First I tried to flash TWRP recovery and custom ROM with sp flash tool and I bricked phone. Totally it was dead. Not even charging led notification. Not any sign .But I gave it to service (under waranty ) and they fix it.
Very well but I lost all photos that are impotant to me. In order to bring photos back I must have rooted phone.
I tried everything. Root aplication -every one failed. It has locked bootloader.
I try to unlock with ADB console with no success. After command line "adb devices " it recognize phone.
But after command " adb reboot bootloader" phone goes to resatart and than it do not go to fastboot mode but shut off.
In every other way I have tried to go to fast boot i failed. Wired but I can not go to bootloader mode(combination of buttons)
It can go into stock recovery. Strange first show green android on back with red triangle and text no command and after several times of pressing power+volume up some how it enter recovery.
Please any help. There must be some way to root this stuff.
Hello, this kind of devices are very easy to root them but first of all it seems that your system partition is now very unstable so in order to restore its functionality you need to flash the stock rom.
Download stock rom and flash it using SPFlash tool v5.1748 would be fine and next I will give a try to guide you how to root it.
Any progress (10/August/2018)
I am wondering if there is a simple tutorial giving instruction on rooting the HomTom HT50 phone?
Thanks . . .
I would like to see that too. I have ht50 and I am very afraid to just flash twrp of other loaders that are similar to this phone and "should" work.
In the old days the chinese (tablets ) usually came rooted by default. Now I cannot root. which makes the phone rather useless to me. So any help would be appriciated.

FYI I did manage to both root & install TWRP onto the HT50. Unfortunately I did not document what I was doing. I'll try to remember & post back here.
I subsequently installed a Homtom (updated) stock ROM which overwrote what I had achieved.
I'll try to discover some time soon to try to dredge-up the fragmented memories of what I did.
I have my two phones and I have problems with the ignition, the way it turned on, let it be desired because they were in operation and at a certain moment when I turn them on for charging they turn off and only the red light turns on, I don't know how to repair it, there is a possibility repair and how to please

H6 how to flash ROM if recovery, 3 button method don't work

Hi, I understand probably not very many people still use Honor 6 these days but maybe somone might be able to help. I got it second hand with official B380 ROM (Android 4.4.2), tried upgrading to B521 (A5.1.1) which didn't finish and caused bootloop. It's L60-H04 version (EU distribution).
the problem: the phone is soft bricked (stuck in bootloop), I can't get to recovery mode, and the three button method with a full ROM on SD card doesn't work either (upgrade either doesn't start at all or gets stuck before finishing); I can get to fastboot mode but flashing doesn't work either, I get the "remote command not allowed" method both when manually using fastboot and typing all the commands and when using Huawei multitool. I assume this means the bootloader is locked. (Although when I check bootloader status it says unlocked, however I've read this might happen but in reality it could still be locked).
I assume it means both boot and recovery are damaged, so flashing (fastboot, adb) seems to be the only option. Unfortunately, the phone is second hand so I have no documentation, don't know the imei and serial number to request the bootloader unlock code.
So, is there any other way to get the code? Or does anyone have any other suggestion how to unbrick? Any help is appreciated.
SOLVED - solved by using paid tools DC-Phoenix and HCU-client
