Samsung Members stuck at "Please Wait" - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I'm trying to launch Samsung Members. It connects and I can see the screen that shows how to use it as well as the welcome with my name. But over that screen there's a "Please wait". I've left it all night but it's not going away.
I've tried force stopping the app, clearing the data and even uninstalling the update to reinstall it. Nothing works!
I have the Galaxy S7 SM-G930W8.
Thanks!

Do you have any screen overlay apps installed?
Such as blue light filter apps etc?

No nothing of the sort. I also tried to kill all apps and use the optimization app in the settings. Nothing works :/

Just installed it from Galaxy App Store and it has logged me in and works fine, so nothing wrong server side
The app is a bit useless though, any reason you want to use it? Nothing in there you can't do yourself another way tbh
Try booting to recovery and clearing cache from there, other than that I'm not sure
Mobile Data connection instead of WiFi try too, or vice versa

It was pre-installed on your S7?
I had to download it myself
You can use Package Disabler Pro to disable any apps you like, removes them from view, and does not require root

Yeah it's a system app on mine. Annoying.
My trouble is the same with Disabler Pro actually. I have to keep it after disabling. I'm a little obsessive lol!!

lol, well there is a final option (Well.. two but one is destructive)
1.) Flash a firmware it does not come pre-installed with (XEU for example)
2.) Root, and properly remove it (Destructive and will trip KNOX)

If you are moving to a CSC not included in the CSC (If it is multi) you already have on the phone (Use Samsung Phone INFO app to check), you'll need to use the CSC (Not HOME_CSC) part of the ROM along with the other 3 sections, and select 'Repartition' from the PIT section in ODIN
This will obviously reset your phone to factory, so backup first

I had the same issue.
Here's what I did that fixed it for me:
Google play > Samsung members > uninstall (which only remove the updates)
Galaxy apps store > Samsung members > update
That fixed it. Maybe I could have update it through google play and it would have worked, but I updated it through the galaxy apps store and it worked...

[Q] T-Mobile Note 2 Rooting Failure

So I rooted my T-Mobile Note 2, The SuperSu was installed but every Time I try to run it it says "SuperSu has stopped wroking" then I get a pop up from my phone saying that it blocked an app trying to reach something on the phone. So my question is, Is my phone rooted or not?

how to unroot and go back to stock w/o loosing data?

How do I unroot and go back to stock firmware without loosing data?
Thanks,
you don't. All you can do is use Helium https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup&hl=en . That is one way of moving data back from unrooting the phone.

It would unroot but I think you would still have the engineering boot and would give the lag issues. The phone would be difficult to use.
By flashing back to stock it would be not rooted and smooth
I been rooted and running this phone a couple week with no problems.
So I flashed without using either CSC file. Just left it blank and it running great just FYI

Running great meaning you didn't lose any data?
Also would Knox trip if we were to unroot with deleted stock apps? Or would the ODIN just put them back?

I restored without flashing any of the csc files and can confirm no data was loss. However I don't have the LTE icon anymore but 4G+...there's a few subtle differences I've noticed as well too that wasn't like that before so I'm not sure what happened. But it's working lag free and cool again.
Checking for software updates results in a cannot process error as well

Sad news. Kinda had my hopes up as this would delete all root files. Guess not. All i want is to have a bloat free phone without any traces of root.

which ROM for as close to stock android as possible for SM-G930F

I see a lot of custom ROMs on https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development but I am not sure which to use. My main goal is to remove all the builtin Samsung apps that I cannot disable/uninstall like Calendar and Internet. I started looking at SuperMan but then saw it has a lot of other enhancements too. I also want to avoid my device being rooted because I have to install apps that won't install if my phone is rooted (GFE/BlackBerry Work).
LineageOS or Resurrection Remix.
Just disable the Samsung apps you don't want. That's the only remedy for you.
SuperMan is probably the closest you'll get to stock. If that's too far off, I'm not really sure of any other options. You could temporarily root and try removing the offending apps, I'm not sure how much the system depends on them.
There's also the option of Magisk (Systemless) root, which shouldn't effect root-adverse apps.
I have rooted stock G930F rom with Magisk and removed close to a 100 system apps. No bugs, no crashes, and it is the best rom there is, if you tweak it right. Btw, you can hide root with Magisk and install your apps.

Please take my advice:
Do NOT root your device.
Cause that has some side effects and nearly no benefits:
You won't be able to encrypt your phone again.
You'll have to install magisk to get some things to work
Do NOT install an AOKP based ROM cause there are severe bluetooth bugs.
Just install "BK Package Disabler (Samsung)" on stockrom and get rid of Samsungs bloatware.
PS:
I'm back to stockrom after installing LOS and I regret that step, cause it tripped the knox-bit.
Perhaps the BT bugs will be fixed in future; then I'll give LOS another shot.
Lol @ this lad above, get your facts straight.
On-topic: I followed root instructions from galaxys7root. For the debloating part, there is a topic called "Debloat your S7" or something like that, which helped me uninstall most of the apps, and the other ones I just uninstalled cause I didn't need them.

Rooting went flawlessly.
I took the TWRP / Magisk way.
OK, loosing all the data is quite normal, when formating data, to get rid of the encryption.
But it trips your knox-fuse with the following consequences:
S-Health does not work anymore. OK, there is a build.prop hack to get it working.
OTA updates will not work anymore.
S-Pay (and others) is said to not work anymore.
Encryption does not work or is risky (look at Chainfires post):
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72204306&postcount=978
No one knows, how long safetynet will be covered by Magisk. Btw.: Magisk is great!
If I am wrong at any point, pls correct me.
I only rooted to use LOS. But there are too many errors atm.
So I returned to stock and have to live with these issues.
So it depends on your usecase.
If you just want to debloat your stockrom, use BK- disabler.
If you want more, root it.

Yes. The solution was easy af. Go toSuperSu and force user of the crashing apps to SYSTEM. That should do it.
I dont think it has something to do with my root but rather with the new OS Android 7.x

Update Stock Samsung Apps to S8-S9 Version (Tested On S7 Edge Running Nougat 7.0)

Didn't see any threads on this, so I decided to do it myself.
