Request to Developers One+1 Volte. - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here is a small request to the developers. I recently came to know that Samsung galaxy S5 has volte which has the same chip set of oneplus one Snapdragon 801. VoLTE has been developed to AO5510 and YU5510 from YU5510A newer edition's modem file. Is there any possibility of getting VoLTE to One plus one in the same way from the modem firmware of Galaxy S5. If there is any possibility please guide me to do so and I'll try it in my OPO. @Sultanxda, @deadlyindian, @tugapower, @ishubamsingh
Thanks in advance.

U have to open one plus one and insert galaxy s5 modem in it....

Wow. That's really awesome. I thought we could modulate non-hlos.bin file according to one plus and flash it via fast boot. Thanks.

You can't flash this on any other variants as the Korean variant has Snapdragon 800 processor. You may end up bricking your device in the process of flashing incompatible firmwares.

I believe that's the case with most phones, unless they're flagship devices. I'm pretty much done with "romming", though. Changing system fonts was my other pull towards customization/rooting (I absolutely hate Roboto), but thanks to FlipFont and a certain PlayStore application, I can now use whichever font I fancy (without needing to root). I do hope there's a Kitkat update on the horizon, though.
Slowly killing me, seem we are not loved by samsung

Guess it'll not work on N7500 right? I know it wont, but cant do anything else other than to ask you.
Language support??
Is it korean only language or multi?
N750S is the Note 3 Neo model with Snapdragon 800 processor sold only in Korea so ROM cannot be flashed on any other variant of the Note 3 Neo.
Can someone post a change log and some screen shots of ROM to show the changes compared to Jellybean .

It seems Samsung cannot make their mind up what to call this device, so it's causing a lot of confusion.
Many servers are pointing to the wrong firmware for the J7XLTE and instead link to J7XELTE which is the J710F.
Even Samsung themselves don't seem to know what to call the device on their own Servers.
Looking at the source code they still call it the J710F!
If it's a J7 why didn't they just call it the J7 in the first place instead of On8?!
Honestly Samsung! :silly:
So futher to the above, it appears some f...wit in Samsungs development department didnt tell the guy in there that had a day off that they'd released a device called the Galaxy ON8 and this device was going to be called the SM-J710FN.:silly:
Unbeknown to Jonny Choi who was off that day when the On8 got released, he decided on his return to release another model, called the J7(2016) and also decided to call that one the SM-J710FN.
So now Jimmy choi has a model called the Galaxy ON8, model name SM-J710FN, device name J7XLTE.
Jonny Choi (Jimmy Choi's brother) has another device called the Galaxy J7(2016), model name SM-J710FN, device name J7XELTE (notice the addition of the E)
Anyone following this, I don't blame you if you're lost?
So what's the problem here, aren't they the same devices you ask? Well you would think so with the same model name, but oh no.
Because you see Jimmy Choi and Jonny Choi don't really talk to each other much nowadays due to falling out over a bowl of Kimchi many years ago and have never really talked since.
The problem is that due to Jonny and Jimmy's lack of communication they have decided to use different SOC's.
The pretend J7 the Galaxy ON8 has the Exynos 7580 SOC and the real J7 has the Exynos 7870 SOC. Now Jonny, it seems, had the good sense to release the source code for the real J710FN on Samsungs open source website. :good:
However, unfortunately Jimmy, due to his failing memory caused by not having enough Kimchi when he was younger (because as said Jonny was a greedy little 욕심쟁이 and pinched it all off his brother), seems to have forgotten to release the source code for his pretend J7 the ON8.
Due to this there is no source code to compile a custom kernel for TWRP.
However maybe, due to those crazy little guys in Samsungs development/marketing dept. who like to confuse the bejaysus out of the rest of the world and just love releasing the same device with different names, it maybe possible to use the kernel source from the J700T which uses the same Exynos 7580 SOC. :fingers-crossed:
As long as the hardware isn't too different theres a chance it may be able to boot at least recovery. So we will see. :cyclops:
Can't flash any recovery of samsung j7 twrp exynos 7580 by any way, tried all methods.
Kindly help.
Also tried twrp of j7 2016 exynos 7870.
Ofcourse didn't work.
thnks for reply

It's not the stock rom that's needed, it's the kernel source code.
Apart from SamMobile who have the correct firmware for the On8 many do not and simply have the incorrect J710F firmware.
Anyone not aware of this could potentially flash this firmware and wonder why their devices got bricked.
If indeed the J710F firmware does work on the ON8 then great I can use the kernel source, but I doubt it.
its working ??

You misunderstand, yes THEY are the correct roms for On8, but if you search other websites it will not have the correct firmware for J7xlte, but for J7XELTE.
Such as here, all for J7XELTE not J7XLTE yet still called J710fn.

Yes right but j710fndd as i told stock rom we can find boot.img as a kernel and stock recovery. its perfect for compile TWRP for on8. I edited these files and cheked build.prop file i found for j7xlte written in file. But i modified this rom as pre rooted with some tools. Su injected into xbin and odin is not flashing this modified rom. I have poor knowledge about it

The problem is not obtaining the stock kernel, the problem is it probably won't work properly in TWRP.
Stock kernels are enforcing SELINUX which causes all sorts of issues with custom recovery.
Some will not even boot with the stock kernel. I need the source code to compile a custom kernel and remove SELINUX.
I will compile TWRP with the stock kernel, but its likely to cause issues.

My mistake then. My apologies.
So this WILL work on the edge? Does it work on the 925T (T-Mobile?)
Is the battery drain THAT significant? I know when I simply rooted my wife's S7, it had significant battery drain and lagged like no other. Has anyone tried using a kernel editor and limiting the processor?

I actually use NexusOS Android Pie ROM on my 925F it works perfectly and the only known bug is the Bluetooth audio call not working. Battery life is same as always not impressive and I have to live with it.
I don't know if it's again XDA to put the ROM download link here since the thread is about RR but you can google for it.

I hope by now you were able to fix your device? You should download the original software for you device with Samsung smart switch for PC, it will restore your device to the original firmware and recovery then you can try flashing TWRP for your device again using Odin. And from there any custom recovery
On my g925f it just randomly reboots

I believe it. I found 4 results in geekbench, that say its a Universal7885, which I'm finding is the Exynos 7885. Samsung has 3 variants listed on their website. (Virgin, Sprint, Boost) Just says 8 core, 2gb ram under the specs. No cpu listed, of course... I will definitely keep an eye out. I'm also finding information that claims a T-Mobile variant exists. No solid info on a cpu anywhere, except maybe Geekbench. They've been wrong about what device I have numerous times though, so I'm taking them with a grain of salt. I would not be surprised to see a snapdragon among one of the variants.

[?] 80% threshold charge limit on rooted S8+

Hello,
I need to obtain some clear information regarding the 80% limit charging.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus SM-G955F (EU), and I'm about to unlock its bootloader in order to root it.
Question : does the 80% limit apply to the Snapdragon (US) or Exynos (EU) or both model ?
Does this limit also apply to newer Samsung devices (s9, note 9,s10,note 10)?
THANKS

As far as I know the 80% charge limit applies to Snapdragon ( US ) models.when rooted. The Exynos version does not have this limitation.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but it seems that this concerns Verizon S8+ phones, so US version, so Snapdragon One.... Am I Right ?
For record, I own a eu s8+ powered by an Exynos chip

if you do all that you should have TWRP, custom rom, kernel and it should fix 80% battery issue.
