Replacement Glass backing for E6603 model - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I shattered the back glass and was wondering where I can get the same backing that the phone came with (or an aftermarket made of the same material). I've ordered two on Ebay already that claimed to be glass, but both were just a shiny flimsy plastic.

back cover replacement

I have "succeded" to break the glass around the back camera of my Razr i. Now I'm looking for a replacement. Does anybody knows where I can find an original replacement for the back cover of the Razr i?
I have purchased one from Aliexpress, but its quality is worst than expected: the exterior bezel around the kevlar plate it's made completely out of plastic, instead of metal and there's no shinny glass around the camera.
So guys, avoid buying back cover replacements from Aliexpres.

Does the stock unit include an installed screen protector?

Just got my unit which i bought from ebay. Upon unboxing it and removing the protective plastic, I noticed that there is a screen protector already applied. Or is this similar to the film sony puts in their Xperia Z line?

There is a plastic screen protector installed on brand new units. Both of mine had them, although I removed them and put tempered glass ones on.

Mi5 pro ceramic back replacement

I broke my Mi5 Pro's Ceramic back a while ago. It slipped out of my pocket and the back got cracked. Do anyone have any idea where can i buy a replacement ceramic back for the phone which can be delivered to India!?
Couldn't find one. You could get a flip case or something to cover the back.
Actually I think this would solve your problem. It looks plastic though

There are several sold on aliexpress, but I haven't seen any ceramic ones.

Gorilla glass version on the back of the phone.

Preface: I used my phone for 3 weeks now and I already got 2 small scratches on the front, and I made sure to put it in the where I didn't have anything else. It came as a shock to me since I used my M8 for 4 years with not one scratch on the display. Turns out, gorilla glass 5 is not that good and really scratch prone (M8 had GG3 which was harder apparently) and it's the same with all GG5 phones.
Does anyone know what version (if any) of GG is the glass on the back of the phone? I found info that it's GG3 on regular U11. It's a shame that i have to put this beautiful phone in TPU case, not to mention that glass feels really great in hand.
Corning f-ed up big time with GG5.

Worth taking off the protective covers?

Hi there,
my Nex S Global ROM was shipped with protective plastic covers glued to the front and the back of the phone.
They feel a bit plasticky and I was thinking about taking them off. Do you think it's worth it?
How easy is it to get scratches on the back and on the screen after doing so?
Do the back and the screen also feel as plasticky as the covers?
Thanks
V

I removed the front protector and kept the back one. I stopped using screen protectors about 4 years ago and have never had a scratch with Gorilla Glass. I kept the back one on for no particular reason because it's always in a case anyway.
I'd keep it on until I got some tempered glass or some kind of protection.
I never got scratches on any of my previous phones, but the Nex S got some small deep scratches within a week of me taking off the plastic. I don't think they use gorilla glass. Definitively something softer as the phone has only been in my jean and coat pockets.
It definitely is not gorilla glass as mine got cracked In top left and bottom right corners when it fell down from pocket while jogging

It is Gorilla Glass but I'm not sure which version. I've had no scratches in the four months I've owned it and it stays in my front pocket like yours.

Gorilla glass protects from scratches and not drops. Impact will crack almost all glass.

The back is definitely softer, lots of small scratches, even though I use a case.

It probably is but it's also the part where the phone rests 99% of the time.
I removed the front protector about 2 months ago still don't see any scratches
I've already bought the same protector for the back in aliexpress for 1dolar ou something like that, but it's exactly the same, and I wanted a 9H protector for the back, not a pelicule...
Has anyone ever tough/seen this?
