Hey, today i wanted to install a new Firmware on my Huawei G7-L01 with the TWRP recovery menu. But everytime i try to install acustom ROM it says that it could not flah the zip or flsh binary could not be loaded can someone help me please?? it is my only phone and i dont want to buy a new one :C
If it says that binary is not loaded then it probably means that the zip you are trying to flash is either not meant to be flashed in recovery or somehow damaged.
Try to download the zip again and read the instructions on the page you downloaded it for.

Could be something wrong with the recovery.
Do you have fastboot on your phone?
If yes, then try to flash a new recovery or even a ROM from there.

I am having trouble, and since I cant post on the page where this should be asked. (this is my first post) I am asking here hoping that somebody will look...
I have rooted my verizon S3 and it works great... I am however trying to install a CM10 Rom on my device. I have followed the instructions and get all the way to selecting the zip on the sdcard. it finds it, it opens it and after about 20 seconds it gives me a status 7 error and says error in XXXXXX\XXXXX .zip
I have done all the steps perfectly and have formatted and wiped it twice trying this... I even have my backup in place...
I have tried 3 or 4 different cm10 roms and they all give me the same error... What am i over looking?
Thanks
I think you need to flash a CWM/kexec hybrid recovery.
Download the app EZ Recovery and flash the hybrid CWM 6.0.1.0

Well if he made the nooby mistake to flash cm10 with a non kexec recovery ..i think he should abandon his hopes of installing cm10 considerong the lost IMEI issue

That us not the issue... I can get into the CWM recovery just fine.. when I choose the install zip from sdcad and choose the rom it will go through finding the package, then opening the update package and then installing update... 20 seconds later i get some symlinks failed, then I get a status 7 error in the file itself..

nope and now im stuck boot looping TWRP after trying what you suggested unsuccessfully.
I appreciate the help... any ideas how I can get out of TWRP back to CWM so I can restore a backup?
Thanks..
You could always Odin back to stock then re-root and install cwm again and restore your backup. May be an easier way not sure. But back up your files on a PC if you do that.

I don't know how you are blaming me when I specifically told you to flash a ClockworkMod/Kexec recovery... not TWRP.
Seems your issue is lack of following directions. Good luck on solving your issue.

I have 2 Recovery on my S3 and I don't know how that happen, I thought when you flash a recovery it would replace the existing one, this is the first time I see 2 Recovery on an Android phone.
I rooted my S3 using CASUAL 1-click method, is it possible that CASUAL flashed 2 recoveries? Anyway, I can use ROM Manager to switch the default recovery but I would really to have just 1 Recovery on the phone. How dow I remove one of them?
Thanks
You don't have 2. Its impossible. When you tell it to reboot to recovery, which none comes up?

That is what I thought, maybe I have the wrong intepretation of this ROM Manager tool then. In the attached screenshot it says I have both CWM and TWAP already installed... What does it actually mean?
BTW, as of what recovery comes up when I reboot it to recovery, it depends on what I default it to in ROM Manager.
My guess would be that you have TWRP as the actual recovery, but also have the CWM app installed. If so, uninstall it. I would also download goo manager and have it install the latest TWRP

It depends on which recovery it's set as default before I uninstall ROM Manager. If it's set to twrp before I uninstall the app, it would boot to twrp and vice versa.

The ROM manager is overwriting the recovery when you tell it to reboot into recovery. That's why you can boot to which ever one you want. You definitely don't have 2 different recoveries on you recovery partition. Hope that makes sense.

I am also having this exact same issue on an HTC ONE
I have removed ROM Manager but still boots into CWM and I need Twrp for latest Venom Rom
I have installed GooManager abd it asks if I want to install the open recovery script, does the 10 second count down, and then goes back to main screen, does not do anything else
When I looked in ROM Manager it did state Twrp was the recovery but stil booted in to CWM - now I have removed ROM Manager I cant check :/
I have also just checked for CWM APP, and that is NOT installed
Can anyone help please - thanks

Head to your phone's respective forum (carrier or international) and post a question in the Q/A section. You have a popular device so someone undoubtedly will help you there and provide you whatever file you may need.

Rom Manager is not saying you have both installed. That is a configuration screen. It is saying, do you want to install CWM OR do you have CWM or TWRP already installed?

You do know that you can flash CM11 in TWRP so long as you have TWRP 2.6.3.1, right?

Anyway, why is it so hard to uninstall TWRP?

The Verizon S3 does not have TWRP 2.6.3.2 (or 2.6.3.3), which device are you on? The way to uninstall TWRP is to install the latest CWM via Rom Manager or by downloading the img and flashing it in something like Flashify.

Mine is like this too. What should we do??
im new to this phone and unlocked and rooted, cwm, problem is it wont flash to partitions inside recovery, nor will it flash is fastboot, says cannot load????
any thoughts would be very helpfull
I don't understand. What are you trying to do? Flash CWM, it fails? Or do you already have CWM and you can't flash a ROM...?
Please explain in detail what you are trying to do, what you have attempted to fix it, and what error messages / info you get back.
Already have cwm after motochopper root method after bootloader unlocked, downloaded slim bean for sprint photon q, booted into recovery wiped partitions and flashed thing is it sticks at the bootanimation, so I waited for a bit after a fresh flash to no avail so I downloaded rds lite and necessary files to flash deleted the 2 lines in yhe xml file, went to flash comes up unknown flashboot command, tried a few times before I tried to flashboot flash twrp, but when I type the command to fasboot flash, error cannot load.img. either recovery or boot

What version of RSD Lite are you using? 6.0+ is required AFAIK.

Does anyone else find that rebooting to recovery using twrp doesn't happen? I've tried re flashing recovery with fastboot and even selecting in bootloader boot to recovery after and still just boots into android.. Any ideas? Is it chainfires boot.img causing the problem?

Try unplugging phone from power source then attempt to enter TWRP.
I have done. I've just downloaded selinux changer app. Set permissive and then re flashed twrp again and now I can access it.

How you install custom kernel without TWRP?
My device is stock and i want to install elementalx + supersu to root. But i need TWRP first.
Fastboot the img file of twrp then boot into recovery from the bootloader
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Got the same problem - I flash the TWRP image with fastboot successfully but when I try to enter recovery, it either reboots or shows me the stock recovery. I'm on stog Android 6, trying to flash a different rom and kernel...
we are on the same boat @granets . when i boot to custom recovery it just boots directly to homescreen.
Have you tried the other kernel i linked above?

Left the boat earlier by downloading TWRP again (for a third time!!!) and it worked fine. Guess when downloading from their site, there is a high percent chance you will get a corrupted file. So far around 50% of all images I download don't work, and every time the problem is different. Maybe try that

And I can't install a custom ROM without a custom recovery!

That link doesn't have anything to do with flashing custom ROMs via fastboot.
That link discusses installing TWRP and then using TWRP to install the ROM.
Let me clarify my previous response. Custom ROM .zip files can't be flashed via fastboot but you can the system.img from the ROM zip and then use fastboot to flash the system.img.

Alright, but my main question is how can I install TWRP on a Sony Xperia M C1905? I've searched the guy's post that says that I can't flash it via fastboot or flashtool but I don't get it how will I get TWRP to run using the FOTAkernel method without any pre-installed recovery.
I've not tested it with the official TWRP app yet but I have tried it with rashr with no success.
Oh, and if I use fastboot to flash "system.img" from a ROM, will the device run with the new firmware or do I need to do extra things besides that?
(I have an unlocked bootloader, android version 4.3 and rooted firmware.)

If the device is already rooted, you should be able to flash a copy of TWRP for your device via the Flashify app.
Things weren't that complicated in the days of 4.3, you shouldn't have any special conditions to worry with.

I've tested flashify and when I pressed on flash TWRP, it did nothing.
I tried to select the file manually and it told me that I'm not able to flash recoveries because it could not find the recovery partition.
One more question: that guy said that I'm not able to flash TWRP using the stock ROM.
How is it going to work?

I tried doing it within the app but it said that an error occurred.
Is it because I've installed on internal storage?
I've also tried it with rashr and it said that it completed but the phone rebooted back to normal.
Also, should I flash TWRP to the BOOT partition?
EDIT
Thank you for helping me! I flashed TWRP on the boot partition and it worked!
I didn't care about the firmware because I was going to flash a new one anyway.
