Can an app install itself as a system app on a non rooted phone? - General Questions and Answers

I was looking for Amazon app store apk ( older version) on the web and later installed it from some website. Going by the permissions everything looked fine. I also downloaded the official apk from Amazon store site and installed it as well. When I clicked to open it, it openend for a second then crashed. I tried several times but same result. I went to uninstall it and saw that it cannot be uninstalled. It can either be forced stoped or disabled. Is it possible? I am using moto z play running nougat with no roots or custom recovery.
Ps: I think it's the official apk because the the older version which I grabbed from a random website installed, worked and and got uninstalled without any pain.
I cleared the data and disabled it but I am not sure how it happend and how to remove it without root or flash.

[Q] Cant install .apks

Hi, I just recently installed the PAC ROM, and I just downloaded the fix to give me root access again, and this is where I ran into a new problem.
I can't installed downloaded apks.
For example: I downloaded ad blocker from this site, and when I get to this screen

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
it will not let me hit install. I've tried it with different apps, but I can only click cancel.
Any ideas?
I have same problem few days back with my stock 4.1.2. Factory reset is the ultimate solution.
Disable ,befor you install an apk, HALO)))) than it will work

Dexxmor is right, turn off any screen filters or Halo before installing APKs. Google built this into Android because those apps have the permission to draw over other apps, so some may abuse this by fooling you into installing something you aren't supposed to.

}
This box appear when I tried to install the apps (sample here is go sms theme maker). It says "error, cannot install app with the same device i.d.
How can i fix this? I have a rooted phone, and I already tried to search this one on the root folder (/...), but I can't find what is causing the errors. I tried using SD Maid, and try if it's a corpse file (because currently, I uninstalled this app), but this does'nt appear in the corpse finder. I tried the dalvik-cache if there is some .dex file remains there, but still nothing.
So before I will reflash my ROM (which I think is the last option available for me), I try to post here. Hope that anyone can give me another idea to try to clean this error up.

[fix] 403 Error for single Apps at the Playstore

Hello,
Yesterday evening I found an working solution to fix this problem.
Many weeks I tried so many Fixes at the www but nothing works.
Every time when I try to download the App I became an, 403 Error. The Apps seems to be installed, but isn't.
Okay here my fix.
1. Download the APK of the file, where you can't download from Playstore. (were ever you find this file)
2. Installing and open Titanium Backup. Scroll down to the file and open this menu
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. deinstall the previous installed App and go the Playstore.
Know you can see the Button has changed
4. Pay and install the APK.
Hope it helps

Play Store not working

Recently rooted my OnePlus 6 device following this link- https://www.xda-developers.com/official-twrp-oneplus-6-huawei-p20-pro/
Everything works fine but the play Store isn't working. Tried clearing cache and storage, deleting the linked Google account and adding again, restarting the device several times, but still the same error. Other apps work just fine as they are supposed to.

There is no problem with your device, in some countries the google play server is down. It should be up after some time. You'll have to wait.
Mine had an issue ... I was stuck when downloading.
Was APK Pure... an alternative store.
