I'm trying to do a rom port, but the rom im trying to port is stuck in a .APP file, and to my understanding thats an executable file for Mac OSX. I'm on a windows machine. any ideas?
do you maybe mean an .apk file?
if so try winrar or 7-zip
na, its a .app lol ive only ever seen it on mac, but its an android update file... ah...
hmm...never had experience with type of file...

it seem to be a problem to update some Honor 6 Plus (PE-TL10) with the updates from the huawei page.
Is there any possibility to convert the update.app from huawei to a flash-able zip file, to install with CWM?

i have a huawei g6 rooted , i had a problem with voice and video call in Line and viber and ...
so i find a guide in xda that can edit the audio_policy.config and the problem solved.
after that i flash my phone and this time i replaced the audio.config file with an edited version in that post . after that my Bluetooth has a problem , i can pair it with all devices but when i want to transfer audio to them , my phone will crash and reboot
is there any body there that can give me the original audio_policy.config file .
you can find it in device memory-> etc -> audio_policy.config
and i think you need a root explorer and root device .
The phone is huawei g6_u10 with stock rom 4.3 B120

so next time tell the version first
file in attachment (how I did it, downloaded full firmware file, using huawei extractor I extracted system.img and the using ext4 extractor extracted desired file)

Hi, I downloaded firmware eml-tl00 using firmwarefinder . I wanted to get apk file ( I need hwcallrecorder from emui 9.1 , I wanted to update my old file ) . I used Huawei update extractor 0.9.9.5 to unpack update.app file and I saved system.img. I tried various unpacking programs like ext4extractor, appimagemaker, imgextractor, ext4unpacker, romzhushou and I was not able to unpack system.img. i'd very appreciate if someone could tell me what programs to use for unpacking firmware
What about renaming the file to *.rar? Many compressed files can be renamed to unpack it with WinRar or 7zip.

unfortunately it doesn't work
Convert to raw
(You could use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redlee90.imagekitchenforandroid )
Then mount raw.img via device's command line on a path allowing that.
Hey. If you can upload the full firmware for me or link me to it somehow... Whatever works... I'll give it a try in my kitchen. I've yet to come across any firmware that i can't unpack. Especily system.img files.
Stuck using a p20 for a bit. Can't handle the no root thing.. I can't even run google keyboard. But i'll unpack the.img!

hi, i found hwcallrecorder apk , i was not able to unpack system.image. if you need apk of recorder check here https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=994141&st=540 . there are some apks for different emui ( 9, 9.1, 10, 10.1 if it'll be problem for you for understanding russian language drop me message with your emui and androd version of your smartphone , i'll send you apk
Does anyone know how to extract a Huawei "super.img"?
I've managed to convert it to a "super.raw" file but no luck in extracting that.
