Verizon version in the Netherlands

I bought a Pixel 2 black at bestbuy an brought it back to the Netherlands where i live. I out in my t-mobile sim al works great. Accept i was woundering if i would get OTA updates? It has the securtity patch of September.
In the Verizon forum they say it makes no differance. But you buy a Pixel for the fast updates but it's 2 month behind

You won't get OTA updates, I was in the same boat as you. Verizon even says you need an active Verizon sim card installed to receive the updates on their Pixel 2 web page for update info. I have the Verizon Pixel 2 with a Vodafone sim card in the EU. The only way you'll get updates is to download the OTA file yourself (you can get it from Google) and use ADB. I'm up to date now and there were no issues doing it that way.

I know. Flashed the OTA file with ADB. No problems . As long as Google keeps posting the OTA files ?

Yeah, sorry, when I replied to this message I dind't realize you had posted the other one as well. I'm hoping they keep the OTA's online too. Fingers crossed!

Now that you are mentioning this. Maybe these Verizon stuff is the whole reason they started uploading OTAs first.

Hi guys - currently it's not possible to get the pixel 2 in Ireland. I am going to New York and was thinking of buying the device straight from the Verizon store. From everything i've heard, it will work fine in the EU, also i'll save a little on the exchange rate (it comes in at around €700).
The updates thing is a major downside though - it's a good few months now since the last post on this - just wondering if anybody has had trouble downloading the updates directly from google?

No trouble in downloading the OTA file and flashing it. (Pixel 2)

Hi all, just to say I bought the Google Pixel XL 2 (64GB) in a New York Verizon Store (came to about €790).
It's working fine in Ireland with no problem and seems to be getting the updates also.

Just received Android Pie/EMUI 9 OTA update on O2 UK Pay Monthly (CLT-L09)(C782)

Bloody Three is gonna be the last as usual. Any one got Pie for L29 782 dual sim?

I think EE will be the last ones to roll it out. They're so bloody slow with updates it's a joke!

If you got the update write out the model of your phone

I'm on EE so I'm expecting. It at the end of February.. March at the latest, certainly no later than April. May at an absolute push.. June if their taking the piss proper.

I didn't get the ota for O2 but got the firmware finder e-recovery way to work.

L09 C782 unlocked. No update.

Yeah I'm on ee but got the phone through carphone warehouse so it's unlocked, no update for me yet either L09 C782

I am very surprised to see that 2 days after I got my Pie update over the air there are still no other O2 users reporting the same. I am starting to wonder if it has anything to do with my current P20 Pro (L09 C782) being a replacement directly from Huawei for a bricked one I sent back to them in November. That would be strange, though, as I believe the speed of updates depends on the carrier and not the phone itself. Any thoughts, anyone?

Yours must be unlocked. Only people that have received the update is people with unlocked devices, that I've seen.
Mines unlocked and I got it Thursday.

I bought mine from O2 on a refresh contract and got the pie update a couple of days ago.

Anyone get the new update on your T-Mobile OP8? Just got oneplus buds and I seem to be missing the app for them.

Nothing here on my tmo OP8. Tmo is so slow with updates it's ridiculous

I'm still on security patch for june1st , I'll never buy another TMobile branded OnePlus device

I just got an update for 10.5.17.

I just updated also. Unfortunately it didn't included the utility for the OnePlus Buds. Still can't update them or customize the taps.

Also we are in August now... I hate the fact that T-Mobile is going to be at the very best a month behind with their security updates.

It's not always behind. We did get June update in June but yeah usually it's a month behind. TBO for me not that big of a deal. At least it's usually a month or 2 behind not like the 3 or 4 TMO used to be.

I'm not having any of those issues but I must not live in an area where standalone 5G is active because it still uses LTE+NR for 5G in my area.

I'm on international but wife had OnePlus 8 and no update yet. They are rolling it out in layers. And what's up with the jump to 10.5.17? There's another thread with someone who works for TMO and explained how the 5G is rolling out. Pretty interesting

Yes, 1+8 TMO.

I was on 10.5.10 and kept checking and it came up for me yesterday I have had lagging issues though

From looking at the T-Mobile software page, there is a daily limit of downloads which is completely stupid and doesn't say why.
From their own page:

Lots of people had issues with signal after the update so the thinking is that they pulled the update for now.
I flashed the SA 5G modem and ya, it sucks

I tried flashing through settings and it wouldn't finish Got to 80% and stopped, I wiped cache and tried again and it won't even start! It stays at 0%!

so we can convert from T-Mobile to North America unlocked

What the heck are you talking about, the phone is great, battery is great (81% left after busy day), speed is blazing, camera is great, little to know issues (gmail freezes and no swipe down to answer) - surely not worth crying about and from what I read the update has no significant value - return your phone if you are so displeased with OnePlus.

That is a T-Mobile problem...not OnePlus! For whatever reason you chose to purchase the T-Mobile version of the phone along with all the consequences. I haven't purchased a phone through a carrier since unlocked phones became available. So you only have yourself to blame. I too wonder why it is taking so long for the unlocked phones to receive the last few updates...but then again I'm happy that my phone is working great...and let all the other countries be the beta testers and squash the bugs...then they can release a truly stable version for me!

Because we have full zips for Euro and OTAs will actually work. Converting to global would require the same reserve.img dumping as T-Mobile variants and break OTAs without tons of effort. Global will hopefully use OnePlus servers for the next OTA.
For now, converting to Euro is best for most 8T variants. Modem works perfectly with whatever bands your phone's hardware support.

Does anyone with a galaxy watch 4 LTE model received the latest firmware that was announced on the February event by samsung, thanks.

yeah it works, but isnt normal.. Samsung.. when i had right-my original region, i had last firmware from june 2021 and Samsung support says only send a complaint to seller. it is not us problem.. EVA8 is the last fw. which is your original region?

Initially I set it to Greece and when I switched to Poland I was able to update. In what region did you received the update

I spoke to Samsung yesterday and they said the delay is with the service provider. I'm with O2 (mobile plan on the watch) so it's waiting for O2 to release the update. I don't really use the watch plan, so I'm wondering if I delete my plan whether that will cause me to get the update, as there's no plan on the watch. Does anyone know?

I've never activated a plan on my Watch 4 Classic LTE and still not getting any of the recent updates.

it is standard bull**** from Samsung support. no, isnt true. Samsung support did tell me some more bull**** for long conversation with my reported didnt recieved firmware from start selling watch a that I have a watch to complain about. reality is problem with "setup some country and their servers for pushing updates".
reset the watch and change region. tralala and you will recieve last fw..

I'm EVA8. I would like the EVB4 update though, to fix the AOD issue
