Hi everyone!
I have an LG Thrive (P506) and am disappointed at the low number of ROMs one can find for this device. So I have set out to make my own ROMs from Optimus One (P500) ROMs that are out there. For the first 2 ROMs, I will have a 2.3.7 zip for both the LG Thrive and the LG Phoenix (P505) which are both based off of Cyanogenmod 7.2. Also, I will have 2 Android 4.0.3 ROMs for both phones as well. These 2 will be based off of Team M.A.C.'s Cyanogenmod 9 Pre-release ports for the LG Optimus One. I will modify them as I deem necisasry and place them for public use. Anyone who knows of any other LG Optimus One ROMs that you would like ported to the Thrive or Phoenix, just post a link on this thread and I will do the best I can to port it!
Thanks!
Rashed
Hi Rashed,
Did you ever make a 2.3.7 ROM for the LG Thrive? I'm looking for one. I'm guessing vanilla Cyanogenmod 7.2 doesn't support the Thrive, right?
Thanks.
Ah no I didn't
Got too hooked with CM10
But I'll do that on Monday

What is exactly the baseband?
I already flashed a lot of ROMs for L9 in the past months, without updating the baseband (I still have v20h).
So I'm not sure this is really required for latest ROMs (eg. Mokee with Android v4.4.4 or other KitKat roms).
Thx.
How does it work?
I mean.. I currently own an LG G2.
Everybody is waiting for the android 5 CloudyG3 port but it's not comming because there is no matching Kernel. So from what I understood, only when LG releases the Android 5 version to the G2, there will be a CloudyG3 ROM based on Lillipop.
But then I see my old Samsung Galaxy S running 4.4.2 on a custom rom, when the last official version was like 2.3.6.
So.. How come the G2 can't get the 5.0, but the SGS can run 4.4.2?

Just because the hardware can support higher version but the vendors want you to buy the new phones..!
But the developers still can develop a 4.4.2 rom for galaxy S...

I know. What I ask is, why do we have to wait for LG's official Lollipop kernel so that LG G2 will get a lollipop rom?
Why doesn't it work the same with SGS?

Of course we can port android lollipop on LG G2. We can port for example CyanogenMod, or other roms.
I think there is an unofficial CyanogenMod rom for LG G2.
Hi! How are you doing XDA Developers?
I have LG G3 VS985 Marshmallow designed for Verizon network. I am facing the problems of WiFi Hotspot and tethering. I want to eradicate this problems. Please help me. Is it possible to install a T Mobile or any other custom ROM that works on all international carriers. Please help me. Please guide me. Thanks in advance. :good:
Hotspot on custom roms designed for vs985 like cyanogenmod and lineageos should work fine. You shouldn't apply roms for tmobile or other non-verzion LG G3 variants on vs985, which will probably brick it. I flashed lineageos 17.1 (android 10) on my vs985 and hotspot works like a charm.
I still don't understand why everything goes to Xiaomi and oneplus in XDA forum now....I know building a custom Rom is a volunteering work...but Lg never gets attention at all till now there's is no Custom android pie for the LG G5 , but Galaxy S7/Edge has about 3 android Pie ROMs this two phones was released the same year...they have almost the same internal spec's. Devs please do something about this.
