Funny that the specs say it supports up to 32 GB, but my 128 GB Samsung Evo works in it just fine. It had to format, but other than that, it works. So it makes a good music/movie player.

Of course sir it will work but one thing is for sure. That your SD card file system is now FAT32 not exFAT or NFS and that's the only problem.

That's not a problem as long as I can store a crapload of music on it.
So you're not after HD videos or movie?

The screen is 720p. Not exactly my idea of a great movie player. I have a tablet for that.

Why are all my videos jerky? I've tried some of the guides out there for converting video, but they all look kinda jerky, regardless of the codec, and regardless which app I use to play. I even tried replacing the SD card with a faster class 10, and same result... anyone else have similar experience, and how did you resolve?
That's hard to say. I have some 720p mp4's on my Inspire that were converted with Xillisoft and they play great, which kind of surprised me coming from the Captivate, with its better graphics chip, that had some issues with the same videos.

I believe that those videos were converted using the Apple TV H.264 720p preset, down-converted from a 1080p WMV source. I'm also using a Class 2 16GB Sd card...that Class 10 would be awesome.

I was going to say 4gb is awfully small for a full 1080p mp4. usually avr 8-12gb as x264 mkv and even higher in mp4 format
As for class it shouldn't matter but I'd go with higher class just for the faster transfer for such big files

Not at all: http://www.androidnz.net/2011/09/sandisk-64gb-micro-sdxc-cards-confirmed.html
This is actually a really good question
acording to this it should be able to use it up until 32 GB
and for bigger ones it need to use exFAT.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SDXC#SDXC
Linux systems that support SDHC cards also support SDXC cards, as long as the card contains a compatible file system. A proprietary driver is available for the exFAT file system.

There shouldn't be any problem with 64gb if it works on other phones. I doubt that it's hardware related.
Almost all the phones have the same specification about maximum sd size, and it's 32gb. The 64gb is new and the specification on the phones was written when the 64gb wasn't available.
working very good

Does it support an exFAT filesystem with the O3D or have you got your 64gb card with a FAT32 format?
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA App
I had an 64GB card, but my P920 literally ignored it. So no 64GB for me.
So now I have my old 8GB back, and its working.
But why on earth would somebody need 64GB?
The sound quality is even worse than my 10 bucks mp3 player

Because 32GB is not enough.I have 46 games on mine sgs 2, only this games need over 30GB free. Were I could put rest stuff like movies, films,mp3, maps for navigation etc.? Some free space for my own video, taken pictures.now I have got 80GB and only 6GB free memory. That the reason that I change lg optimus 3d on sgs 2. 40 GB is not enought
Sent from Samsung Galaxy S 2 (80GB)
Then the boys 3d optimus quietly supports 64gb?
no no no!!
look here!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038039
And this guy "3waygeek" blogged this further:
Well, I just got the SanDisk 64GB microSDXC. As I predicted, the SGS2 couldn't read the exFAT filesystem the card is formatted with. However, the SGS2 did format it as FAT32, and seems to accept it as a valid device.
I'm now copying my old 32GB card to the new 64GB, using standard USB microSDHC card readers on a Windows box. But before I did that, I ran SDTools on the microSDXC. Read speed 18 MB/s, write speed 6.6 MB/s; see the attached snapshot. Those numbers suggest to me that the device is the bottleneck, not the card.
So, aside from the lack of exFAT support, it looks like microSDXC will work. it works! just let ur phone RE-Format it to fat-32
hmm
I saw a post saying that 64gb had worked properly on LG-SU760, but I don't have any idea what sdxc is actually working well on Op3d...
It might depend on sd company.
see here it is available for Rs. 3455/- only!!!

MX player is awsome it supports HW playback which means it takes full advantage over the andrino 220 chipset . i have have had poor luck trying to find other players that play videos as well as that one the stock video player provided with the phone works good but can not decode all videos/sound
how are you guys putting files greater than 4gb on your memory card? all 1080p movies i have are like 10-12 gigs
all mine goes on a 32gb card

No, but I found this article that states that it works on the i9000 as well as ALMOST ALL Android phones. According to the article, it should work. Try it out and please report back!
