Weird Icon in Status Bar - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hey guys, installed a few custom ROMs over the last few days to find one I enjoy. However on nearly all of them I keep getting this logo in my status bar and I can't find anything about it. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to remove it? It's quite big and even though it's not too much of a hassle it bothers me. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: can't add screenshot. View image here : http://i.imgur.com/mo9sAjX.jpg
EDIT: FIXED. If anyone else is experiencing this issue just go to system/priv-app/immessage and change immessage.apk to immessage.apk.bak, reboot, and done

I think that is the "advanced calling" feature. Not sure where it is in settings.
EDIT:
From another thread...
Settings -> Connections -> More connection settings -> Advanced Calling & Messaging -> Turn off and the icon will disappear.

Help: notifications do not pop-up anymore

Hi!
When you get a SMS or calendar event or battery is running out, you get that "bubble" at the bottom telling about the event. For SMS you get snippet of it and so on.
Some days ago, my TP stopped doing that! I just got a SMS, and it made all the notification sounds and wibrates and I got the icon on top, but not the pop-up. When I click on the icon, I get the black notifications screen, from which I need to click it again, and only then I get the pop-up ballon.
How can I get it back to work as it should?
I've done some changes with Advanced Config, but nothing that relates to that. Nor do I now find anything that could relate to it. Currently I'm questioning if Advanced Config does something else than what it seems to do.... well at least I cannot think of any setting from anywhere that would have changed this.
Do I need to hard reset the phone again?
Firts try to set the default settings back in advanced config and try to use the default skin.
If that don't fix the problem then you could back up your phone, do a hard reset and overwrite the fresh install with the back up you made.
In Settings>Sounds and notifications>Notifications
select the options from the drop down list and tick checkbox next to display message on screen

Duh!
Thanks! Had been there, but didn't see the option as I was too lazy to try to change the notification event.
But I never changed that... so I do not know how it was changed. However, no hard reset needed this time (only one so far... due GPS problems).
It appears there is a relationship with using Advanced Config here
I second that. Advanced Config is the culprit. Uninstall it, re-enable each of your notifications under settings, then do soft reset. When I had Advanced Config Installed, my device just kept unchecking the notifications boxes for no reason. I'd re-enable them and about a day later they would be unchecked again. Uninstalled Advanced Cofig and no more issues.

HTC Fuze: Clock on title bar

I want the time to show up on the title bar in all programs. I checked this option, but it is not working. I have restarted the phone, but nothing. When I go into the clock settings, the time DOES show up in the title bar, but when I close the settings, it is no longer there. Any ideas?
I have this option selected as well and it is working just fine. Maybe you have it disabled in a registry setting or in Advanced Config somewhere?
Ok, it's getting stranger. I went into the Today Settings, under Items, I checked Date to appear on the Today screen. That solved my problem; however, now when I go into the Today settings, Date is unchecked, but is still showing up on the Today screen (which is fine with me, just weird.) Hmmm.
It's not showing in TF3D title bar. Everywhere else it appears to show up.
I'm enabling it under settings/system/clock though.

If you are using a battery monitor that might replace the clock in TF3D. Also, Advanced Config under Today, you can specify if you want clock or battery to show on the Today screen.

please please help: battery icon disappeared from tilte bar

Dear friends
please help help
the battery icon disappeared from my tilte bar when checked the (display the clock on the tilte bar in all programs) from clock & alarm settings>more
so what I did next was to uncheck this option and restart the device and now the sound icons sometimes comes on and sometimes not but the battery has disappeared. I sill can access the battery settings when I press on the tilte bar where the battery icon supposed to be..
see picture
please help
It's looking that some newly installed program caused it. I suggest HardReset and then installing them one by one go to see what will cause this problem.
If you have a list of programs you installed since the moemnto what was working and then it was bad we can best help!

I foun in this forum a registry tweak wher u can change the value and get the time /date/or both in the title bar (of course after soft reset). I kina like it. now I have the time in the title bar but not the battery.
Well, I wonder if I reverse the registry value to defaults, will this bring the battery icon back?
it happened when I enabled the option of (show the time in all programs in > clock & alarm settings in >more. (but I didn't resatrt the device and then Igo Primo froze for what ever the reason and then I reset the device and it came back with missing battery icon
if I do hard reset, will this delete everything on my phone?

Yes, absolutely. Except what you already synchronized and / or backup

[Q] New page on home screen. Where did it come from?

Hello all,
I'm a relatively new OnePlus One owner and yesterday after I rebooted my phone, a new page showed up as part of my home screen pages. What was the first home screen page is now the second one and this new page took it's place.
Since I have no idea what it is, I'm attaching a screen shot for reference in hopes someone might be able to tell me. It's mostly blank with the text that says:
Get some extensions!
Looks like you don't have any installed
extensions. CM Home currently supports
DashClock extensions, so go get some and check
back here!"
Would anyone know where this suddenly came from and more importantly, how can I get rid of it? If I had wanted it there, I would have added it myself. Don't much appreciate a phone that doesn't respect user settings.
Thanks!
Tim
Nobody knows?
There must be some way of getting rid of this thing. It seems to have shown up after I updated to 38R. It's also mentioning something about Dash Clock. But since I don't have any app named Dash Clock installed, I have no way of uninstalling it.
Tired of these apps or themes, etc that just think it's fine to modify a user's settings and add whatever they want to a phone. I take the time to setup my phone for a reason. If I had wanted something changed or added, I'm perfectly capable of determining which apps I wish to have and where I wish to place associated folders, icons, widgets, etc.
Would be very appreciate if anyone could give me some advice how to get rid of that page.
Thank you!
It is part of the trebuchet launcher from cyanogen. You must have gone into the settings and turned on the CM Home search panel. Just go back into the launcher settings and change the search panel option to "off" and it should go away.

Thanks so much for the reply. I have looked already, but see nothing obvious listed in my Settings where I can find anything related to CM Home search panel. I have also searched for any apps that might be labeled as trebuchet, launcher, CM, etc. Would you mind telling me where exactly I can find such a setting as you mentioned?
Thank you again.

It is not in the phone settings it is on the home screen. Long press down on any part of the home wallpaper not covered by an icon or widget and you should see a menu bar pop up at the bottom with 3 icons for setting wallpaper, widgets and something else. There should be an up arrow near the top of the menu bar which when pressed will take you to the launcher settings, that is where you can change the options.

notification quick toggles disappeared

Hi everyone,
I've been having a problem with the notification bar not displaying the quick toggles. They're still there. You put your finger on the spot and whatever toggle is there will activate or deactivate, you just can't see it. Needless to say, it's very annoying and I don't know the cause of it. I'm rooted, updated to may patch. I tried back tracking to see if I hit any switches but nothing. I did everything shy of factory resetting. Check the screenshot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Found out what the problem was. It was with the app shortcutter. Toggling the "reflow pull down animation" button caused it to disappear.
