The phone is almost 9 months old, suddenly, this morning it turned off (battery at 95%) and i couldn't turn it back on. I plugged it in and then i could turn it on, the battery still was at 95%. It happened a few more times, like 7 or 8 so far. Any idea on what could be the reason?
Edit: It also turns off when i take a picture with flash on!
Thanks!
I think its firmware problem nd flash again with odin

check it out i flashed a rom right and it didnt want to boot into recovery so i took the battery out and it never turned on again????
Plug it in let it charge a bit. If the orange light blinks four times and turns off, then you need to do a battery swap.
If it charges then let it charge boot unto recovery and restore your backup. I hope you made a backup.
Which Rom were you flashing?

Mate, you're really not helping yourself here. Can you please give a step-by-step of what you were trying to do and a bit more information as to what happened when it didn't go to plan?
e.g. I was trying to flash a new ROM. The ROM update completed successfully but upon rebooting it wouldn't turn on.
The above example gives a bit more insight as to the situation

Pop the battery out for about 10 minutes then put it back in and try charging the battery. Also try charging from a different power source like an AC adapter or via your computers USB port. If the battery light doesn't come on then your battery is most likely dead and you may need to find a replacement.

you said you didnt get any signal. dude you prolly didnt flashed the correct radios. some roms tells you witch radio you need before flashing the rom. not all the roms have the correct radios due of a lot of sensation worldwide. had you tried to go into fastboot at all by holding power and vol down at the same time.

Hi When I connect the phone, which is turned off, to the electric current to recharge it, it automatically switches to recovery.
Why?

By adding charging animation in your rom... This will help from not going to recovery.. Instead it sill show chrgng animation... You can add it by pushing chrging animation folder in your roms system memory...
After flashing philz touch recovery, this happens with my device too..with cwm it works normal.

it happens coz even after the battery is charged out some charge is left in the phone.. when your phone is off again on the phone let it get completely discharged till screen goes off.. connect charger the recovery wont come..
Hey guys, I have been getting really good battery life, and I still am. But since a couple of days I have been noticing that the whole battery gets drained in a couple of seconds soon after the battery hits somewhere as low as 14 or 15%. The phone just shuts down and wouldn't turn on before it's plugged in again. Also, I noticed the phone charges back from 0-12 or 13 % in under a minute, which is VERY STRANGE.
What do you think is happening guys? Please help.
PS: Read somewhere here about calibrating battery by charging it for 8 hours, turning off, and all that. I did try that and it did not work for me
Thanks a lot in advance
Anyone?
Have you tried factory reset or stock img flash via fastboot? These are first two steps you should try.

So does that mean there is nothing wrong with the battery? I mean the hardware part? @Lukiqq
I think hw is fine in your case, you should really try revert it to factory state first.

Yes. Turns out it was a problem with the battery calibration. Let your phone run out of charge. Once it turns itself off, plug it in for about 2.5 hours without interruption. Unplug, wait for 5 minutes, re-plug and charge for another 15 minutes. Unplug and turn on the phone. Your phone should be re calibrated
Hii guyz. Since 20 days my phone switches off wen it is below 15% currently I am using moto g3 osprey 2015
Twrp installed , cm 13 nightly ,gapps 6.0 pico
My phone switches off suddenly when it is below 15%
And wen I charge it back and try to switch it on booting fails and it again it turns off
Every time it switches of it takes 4 booting process to start normally
But wen I use twrp and and reboot d system it starts instantly
What should I do guyz?
Try to re calibrate your battery, look for some app that does this on the play store, charge your phone to 100% and then use the app. Should fix this

Charge your phone to 100%, then open the app, click on calibrate and then reboot. Make sure that you have root enabled.

Sounds like the phone is soft bricked. If so, you might want to try using the USB jigs that can be found on ebay for around $5. I'm not sure if they'll work.
Here's some example videos on usb jig:

Sorry it took me so long to reply but try using Odin to reinstall the firmware if you can go to download mode
