What about roms development for...

Just wondering why we dont have ROM development sections for samsung, acer, asus and others....
Because this is an HTC forum only. You would have to visit their respective forums...
roger that

Padfone dev firmware: OPEN_Padfone-9.17.7.17

I know this section says no noobs, but I thought this would be the best place to post this (since this device has no subforum here)?
There are still no developers for the Asus Padfone, but yesterday some-one on the Padfone Dlub forums wrote about a Padfone with a developers firmware on it...

Any devs interested to look into this?

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist.
There is a general forum for android here*http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help*where you can get better help and support if you try to ask over there.*
Good luck.
Sorry to say like this..I want answer from the recognised people..because if there is no perfect sources..so then moderators will close that thread certainly..so please if anybody answer my question then I feel happy
Your official answer is that xda requires kernel source be posted with all rom threads. This is a requirement of GPL and XDA abides by that. For more on that, see this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2645321
There is a link there to an article about devices that have not released source code. Read the thread and article carefully and you should have a clear idea on this. :good:

Hi, Please create post only when your development is ready to be released.
Until then, I am asking the mod to close the thread.
Thanks!!
His Work is ready to be used. But not released right and how it should.
Mod Edit
Thread moved to General for the time being till the OP releases his work and has working links along with the source.
Please edit the OP with all the details and PM me to move it back to the development section.

yes it is in fact ready to be used.
Thread unfortunately can't be moved to development so I announce it will be available here. With support and requests I will continue development and sharing work on this device. Thanks

I see. I'd like to apologise for my prejudice. I hope it will be moved to its right section.
Until then, I'll test your work soon. Looks promising though I hope there would be more details.
No problem man I'm just new. work is stable but just wanted to compile and slap on the net cause of being lazy. If support grows and there are wishes for it I can of course make flashable zips which are user friendly. My main goal is to research about kernel development and make a slim kernel/debloated for stability and performance. However that is still WIP as for now development is stock untouched both kernel and rom. Im also having issues with space management but maybe in the future will setup a buildbot on cloud triggered by commits all is possible. As for now as I said was hoping for some support as I'm alone in this. Thanks for the good words
ive extracted fw+vendor 14-02-019 9.0 because i have seen noone update lately. you can get it from my channel
*another update* 70hz on extremekernel never worked for my device. i have compiled kernel r158 from extremekernel sources unofficially with 69hz and my device is working stable with it. get the flashable zip from my channel and let me know if it works for you too
I am running a kernel experiment please participate in the poll
Not updating this thread anymore. Double work. Many updates with details on channel. Check out
development will be in a closed group only. reworked soon on development forum
